I traveled all the way from New York to Washington, DC for his services. I'll have to go a little further now to VA, but it would be well worth the trip. I was rushing around DC trying to find a framer that could do a gallery quality framing job, for an exhibition I was involved in - but the art had to be ready to hang within 12 days. I originally went to the art store/framers across the street (where I buy my art materials) hoping they could help me out. They couldn't guarantee I'd get it in time, so they suggested A&A Art and Frame across the street. And I am so glad they did. Right from the start Arif assured me that time wasn't an issue and I felt really comfortable with using them to frame my art. This was a big charcoal drawing (44"x30") and I had a specific idea in my mind on how I wanted it framed. Arif voiced his concerns on my idea and I really appreciated his honesty and expertise, because no other framer mentioned the issues, which would have been significant. And the finished product would have been double the cost. We came up with the best solution that would compliment my art and create an overall piece that would suit any type of interior space. In the end, Arif had it ready for me in a week, it was about half the cost of what I was expecting and it really looked amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough. I feel like I'm in one of those Geico commercials where I've turned into my parents because I'll bring up framing in order to recommend these guys. I first went here for framing needs for my company and decided to use them for my personal framing needs given how great of a job they did with the framing, price and turnaround. I got 2 pieces framed here, the Queen was a print and the dinosaur was a ill cut rolled canvas. The owner sat with me for 45 minutes while my indecisive self tried to visual the sample frame around the entire Queen print. After loosely telling him the "vibe" I was looking for and not only did he offer great suggestions and tested numerous frame colors, he also let me be and allowed me to go through his shelves of frames and pull as many as I liked to test. We went with this absolutely gorgeous rose gold/copper frame which compliments the piece beautifully and fits seamlessly against the brick wall it displays on. It really felt like a collaborative process which I think truly allowed for the beautiful outcome. I added the dinosaur to the "order" last minute and seamlessly found the same frame shape and style in a muted gold. It was a low quality rolled canvas that was miscut and awkward and he did a phenomenal job mounting it and really making it look high quality. Long story short, this place is superb. It was incredibly quick turnaround, and the price was unbeatable. I would recommend doing multiple pieces to bundle the work and price. They do high quality cutting and window boxed work and I am just so happy with how high quality they made my art on a budget look. KP read more

After checking four options, I chose A&A. Arif (an owner of A&A), who worked on my order, was very professional - he suggested different materials and his vision of how to frame my jersey in the best way. My experience with A&A was fantastic from A to Z. I wanted some items that meant a lot put into some sort of shadow box/display case, but had no idea what to do exactly. I came in to change the frame on a certificate that I thought might look better with my home decor. Even though the new frame was very nice, cost half what I paid for the original frame and only took a few days to do, I got home and decided I wanted the original frame after all. Don't waste time shopping around - go straight to A&A !! I was sitting on 3 beautiful paintings I had bought in my travels, not framing them for the longest time because they were large and I was wading through quotes from various places. Then I literally walked by A&A when I was downtown - I came back with my paintings and Araf walked me through a lot of different options, did a beautiful job at a very fair price. I have brought more things to him since then - and am culling through some others in my "to do" list.
