I cannot speak highly enough of Soung S Lee and Alexandria Picture Framing. My husband and I had…read morenumerous lithographs and prints framed at Alexandria Picture Framing starting in the early 1990s. We always were impressed with the work quality. In particular, Mr. Lee always provided excellent suggestions on matting and framing, often different from anything that we might have first considered. Recently, I had a lithograph that loosened in its frame and took it back to the store for adjustment. Even after nearly 30 years, Mr. Lee was kind enough to fix the problem, doing more than the minimum necessary to make the lithograph show beautifully again. I would return to Alexandria Picture Framing without hesitation for anything that I need framed, and highly recommend the business to others.

Just a dreadful experience. Avoid this business…read more We travelled here from the district to have a number of pieces reframed. We were rudely informed by the owner that all design services end sharply at three o'clock (we had arrived shortly after 3). There was no such warning on the website. He also chastised us for presuming to keep him from leaving the store at precisely four o'clock. We were so taken aback we didn't know what to do. It was an extremely awkward experience. We promptly found another frame shop in the area and started packing up to leave. There are MANY competitors, and who wants drama when they're just trying to get some framing done? Perhaps realizing his mistake, he came out and made a production about now agreeing to stay past four o'clock. I'm not in the business of trying to plead with a business owner to take my money. We made an excuse of not wanting framing that was so costly (we did) and promptly left. Hopefully, they have good quality work. I just couldn't speak to it as the place just didn't want our business.

I've used the Framebridge location in Old Town Alexandria a number of times now and have…read moreconsistently had great experiences there. Over the past year or so, I've brought in around eleven different pieces to be framed--everything from photos to larger artwork--and all of them have turned out beautifully. I've worked mostly with Vinh, Brian, and Helen, and they've all been incredibly helpful throughout the process. What I appreciate most is that they meet you wherever you are in terms of ideas. Sometimes I come in with a pretty clear vision for how I want something framed, and other times I'm not sure at all. In both cases they've been great about walking through options and helping me land on something that looks really polished. Framing can sometimes feel a little intimidating if you're not used to it, but this store makes the process very easy and approachable. Turnaround times have also been faster than I expected on the pieces I've brought in. At this point it's become my go-to spot whenever I have something I want framed.

My Groupon was claimed to be worth $200 but for a frame that requires less than one hour's work I ended up paying an extra $100 plus in the end.
