Stephany is such a pro. Easy to work with and communicative. She did a ton of work for us on a mosaic tile framed house number sign on which the wooden frame had rotted away. I love the sign and wanted to save it. She came to me to take a look at the situation, (so sweet!) researched the best material to use to make it weatherproof, scraped away all of the dead wood, and made it look brand new and clean, working not just on the frame but the piece itself in order to make it look its best. Considering the time spent, the price was reasonable. I highly recommend Artifacts and plan to go there for future projects. I can see Stephany's artistic vision adding value way beyond the framing. She not only custom built a mirror for me (and it looks great!), but she loaned me a drill that would go through concrete so that I didn't have to buy one. Saved me time and money. Stephanie is wonderful! She is skilled, courteous and provides exceptional customer service at reasonable prices. She helped me out when no one else could. She hand cut a piece of heart-shaped glass for a 30-year old picture frame not once, but twice! Other framers refused to do it because the work is too delicate and sent me to Stephanie. The picture has sentimental value and I could not find a replacement frame anywhere to fit the photo when the original glass broke. A few weeks after Stephanie cut the heart-shaped glass and repaired the frame, I dropped the frame and broke the glass again! Stephanie at Artifants is my personal framing advisor. Or at least that's how I like to think of her. I've been using Artifacts for all of my framing needs for the last six or seven years. Even after having had Steph frame literally hundreds of things for me (both for professional and personal purposes) I am constantly amazed by the service I receive each time I walk in the door. Artifacts has an excellent frame selection and a great eye, both of which you could probably find at another frame shop. But don't. Because where Artifacts really distinguishes itself is in its customer service. Steph strikes the perfect balance between helpful and overbearing service. She's always ready with suggestions and an artistic opinion if needed but she's also equally happy to just let the customer do their thing without saying a word. Moreover, her turnaround time is pretty quick and her product is excellent. Everything I have ever had her frame is still in fantastic shape. I also appreciate her willingness to help me save money. Nice story: After I had recently picked out a frame for some work-related projects, Steph graciously pointed me in the direction of an almost identical frame for half the price. I have used Artifacts for the past 4 to 5 years to have 8 lithographs matted and framed by the owner Stephany. Her advice has been excellent with outstanding selection of mat colors and frames. She has a fine arts degree and can relate to you about the painters of the lithographs. Her educated eye has helped steer me to the best match of lithograph colors with mat and frame colors. I have learned to trust her advice and recommendations and have never been disappointed. Here prices are fair for the quality and turnaround of about 2 weeks. Anyone can start a framing shop and as far as I know no state license is required. So it's easy to go wrong. Stephany has the eye, the frame selection, and works well with the customer with no rush or pressure and ultimately leads you to an optimal choice that you'll later appreciate. Don't be in a hurry and she won't be either. I always tell her to take her time and deliver the best product she can and she does. read more
