This feels like a well kept secret, since I could freely browse many galleries to myself on a Sunday afternoon with little to no competition for foot traffic or viewing angles in galleries and studios, unlike what may happen at a downtown location like Torpedo Arts Factory on a Sunday. The structure seems confusing and closed off at first. No entrances available directly from parking lots other than walkways between buildings to the inner courtyard, where covered walkways and porticos with sandwich boards and little lit open signs in windows invite you to step inside and explore more. There is an organization to it all- by building numbers labeled on white squares with black numbers seen across from the courtyard and on each studio door, but on a first visit, give yourself 1-2hrs to simply explore. I actually came twice in the same weekend. First for a Saturday evening free concert with the Los Teximaniacs under the tent and on the lawn of the courtyard, and then the next day to browse the open galleries and Lucy Burns Museum, which also happened to be another music event for an acoustic duo that was ticketed and happening above one of the larger galleries. It's an easy place to be on a rainy day, wandering in and out of studios for visual sparks and wonderment. It feels embracing of all art levels with a combination of professionals, hobbiests, and students taking classes. A delight to explore!

A wonderful theater venue in the DMV! Only frustration is the lack of signage on campus, which made it hard to find the theater. Other than that, extremely cool space!

I LOVE the Workhouse Arts Center. I started taking pottery classes a year ago and am am hooked for life. The space is phenomenal -- open, light, welcoming. Each class includes a cubby for storing your tools and clay as well as access to Open Studio time to continue creating outside of class. The instructors are talented and folks are incredibly kind, supportive, and generous with their time. It's a wonderful community. I highly recommend signing up for a class - you might find (or rediscover) your next passion!

Such a gem. Signed up for Bread 101 with Chef Kathleen Linton. I rarely go for reviews but it was such a thrilling class to learn so much from an expert. I got lucky because I am an extreme beginner and was surrounded by a class of enthusiasts. Paired up with very accomdating group and took away valuable lessons (albiet forgot the immense amount of lessons..) through the two day course.. in addition to loaves of bread one cannot devour alone. It wasn't until coming home after the blur of the classes and eating even more did I realize how good of a deal it was. Looking forward to returning for classes with kids and friends. Highly recommend!

The Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia is a great place for a fun date night. We had a great time seeing beautiful artwork and learning how to make healthy hand-crafted cocktails! The 1910 Lorton Prison that was developed to help solve unsanitary conditions of Washington DC Jail & Workhouse is now an impressive art center which is home to over 100 local artists. You can find a huge collection of affordable art here! The Workhouse Arts Center also offers plenty of classes that provide fun date experiences. We took the "Hand-Crafted Mixologist" class and learned how to make Immune Booster Cocktails & Tonics. The class consisted of mostly couples in a friendly environment. We plan to take more classes at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia and hope to see you there!

Great place to visit. My daughter loved it. We had fun and will go back. We looked at lots of art and talked to several artists.

Went to the free summer Friday night concert with my family. It was fun, plenty, of space for kids to play, and drinks for purchase.

I recognize that the Magic Duel takes huge pride in 5 star reviews on Yelp, which I deeply respect. But I did wish that we had seen the show in a different venue. I am no stage expert, but lights and sound do matter a lot in delivery of a magic show for a skeptic like me, going because the significant other loves magic shows. With better lighting, things would have been more "magical" (thinking bottles.) I was also surprised that a bubble artist, as good as she was in her profession, was considered a magician. After some quick research, you will end up at Magic Duel in this genre, so please go to Dupont or Georgetown.

We arrived early around 5:45pm and went 4mins around the corner to Electric palm (yummy) for food. Parking spaces are available on site. I suggest to get there right when they open @7pm or earlier. Spaces do get tight and it gets crowded quick. The sooner the better and you don't have to wait as long. The general admission is $20. They give you a ticketed number. Then you have to wait til your ticket number is within the group numbers called on the tv screens to go on the trail. However, while you wait you can purchase paintball for a extra $7 & the escape room for $5. I do think they can approve with the extra add-ons. The escape room is in a little trailer & you have only 5mins to find a key. The paintball is set up in a little tent & you just hit zombies on a projector screen. I feel like they can improve the paintball by opening up another part of the field with stadium lights an actually have a game going on. If it be with two teams of customers at a time or customers against zombies. There is also a free movie playing to bypass time. Every night theres a diff movie. They also, have food trucks & a bar with two bartenders. I suggest they include one or two more bars to help with the lines. So, I say at least six bartenders. Also, need to have more selections in the alcohol ( they didn't have Hennessy). Anyway, the trial itself was really fun. It lasted a good 35-40mins or more. I appreciate that compared to other haunted attractions that are over in a blink of an eye. I loved all the props, the scenery, & actors. I was scared a good few times. My fav three parts was the sucken bridge ( feels like you're falling thru), the scene where its a green fog room like walking thru a pond or forest & the actual walk thru the diff parts of the jail! I will def recommend and will be back as long as they make improvements & change the trail every year. Ms.Gina didn't see that I saw her telling her to get back in line. When my daughter got out of the class, she was extremely upset and still crying. That's when Ms.Gina said "she tripped that's why she's crying" We don't care that she told my daughter to get back in line but lying about it is very worrisome. We were still giving her the benefit of the doubt even though that incident wasn't sitting right with us. Later that night we watched the video of the class recording and what we saw made us angry and horrified! It was clear Ms.Gina was frustrated with my daughter. In one clip she tells my daughter "can you STOP" very aggressively and in another clip she grabs my daughter by her hair. I emailed the executive director and owner of the studio, Kendra with the screen recordings of those two incidents and not only did she defend and make excuses for her personal friend Gina, she also said she continues to be as proud as ever to have Gina as a member of their staff and Perfect Pointe family. I'm sharing this so others are aware.
