While I had attended a Cirque De Soleil in Vegas a couple of years ago it was hubby's first. Thankfully I agreed to go to this show. It was a much more enjoyable experience. The area is small enough that you see the performers up close. While the stage was smaller the up close factor made it awesome. I whole heartedly recommend attending this sort of Cirque De Soleil performance. The next time another such performance comes to Tyson's Galleria I will be sure to look into tickets right away. Next time Cirque De Soleil comes to Tyson's Galleria I would encourage folks look into attending. As an added bonus there are an assortment of restaurants close by making it an easy two part adventure with family or friends.

Fun birthday party for 9-year-olds - we had 11 boys and they LOVED it! The staff was great with the…read morekids, kept the party on task and the owner was fantastic with chatting up the boys, even giving some extra perks because the pizza was arriving a few minutes late -- we didn't care, but he took the initiative to offer to ensure the kids were having a great time. Our party was at 10 a.m. on a Sat. and there was just one other b-day group there that the boys played against and also each other. I believe there can be up to 4 teams. We'd definitely host a party here again, and other parents said the same. Everyone had a blast! If you're not sure, check it out beforehand like we did on an early Sun. afternoon when it's not crowded. The manager on hand that day was super friendly and threw in a game for us to see what it was like. Fantastic staff working here!

Plenty of parking!…read more We did three games for $25. Our team had 5 people, and we were against 2 other groups. When you enter, you are shown a short video with instructions on what to do. You are then take to a room to put on the vest-laser gun combination. A few minutes later, the game begins! If you ask them to show you where the bases are, they will show you and you could hit those bases for more points. You cannot tag another teammate, and when you tagged, there's a few second delay before you are back into play. The age range was from elementary school children to working professionals. It was a fun experience trying to strategize how to get the most number of points! Some folks decided to stay high up and shoot downwards. Others sought to aim for the bases since they have quite a bit of points. Another team defended their base. I would definitely come again!

My date was in town for the Hallmark holiday, and we figured we'd just keep it low-key... until we lost money at the poker tables and made a very last-minute decision (literally five minutes before showtime) to grab tickets. Best decision ever. From the first note, the energy was unreal. Leela James brought the house down and Kem sounded incredible. We had an absolute ball in our sweats and tennis shoes. At one point it felt less like a concert and more like the world's best karaoke night because we were singing our hearts out the entire time. One thing I love about MGM is that there truly are no bad seats. Even with last-minute tickets, the view and sound were fantastic. Unexpected, spontaneous, comfy, and unforgettable. The perfect Valentine's night after all.

It's a studio of cool ass peeps who wanna learn to dance in a fun setting. Don't get it twisted though - you keep coming back and you will be looking good. The studio is hip, open, spacious and has a party type atmosphere to it. The instructors are super friendly and you can take a single class or get a class card. There is a small amount of parking behind the studio, and if you take the metro, they will send someone to retrieve you. Check them out!

From singing to costuming to choreography, each performer gave everything to the audience. Since this is a theater in the round in a very intimate setting, I had my concerns that I would be in a section in which the performers had their backs to me. Quickly I realized that the seasoned cast is skilled at playing to each side and the staging wouldn't inhibit anyone's view. I purchased tickets with a partial view ( Row 4), and felt that my view from there was better than many Broadway shows I've attended. I did not find them to inhibit the show in any way, and the leg room was spacious. I really enjoy watching the support cast (chorus) and in this show particularly their roles were important to every element and integrated into the foreground. This is something you often don't see in traditional shows where the leads are foreground and the chorus is just left to be background noise. Great job by all. The theater is located near some eateries and an ice cream shop, but take advantage of this before the show. I felt every single person headed right to the ice cream shop after the show, and some of the eateries closed just as we exited at 9:00pm on a Sunday.

Signature Theatre has taken a show I have seen multiple times in the past, and freshened it up. A lot! Presented in the round - which I normally do not like - it presents like live-action happening right in front of your eyes for the 1st time. And the theater is small enough that I felt immersed in the action! Indeed, several times, players would come right up into the seats and interact with me and other audience members. It really made the show seem like a story being presented for first time, spontaneously, right in front of me. And, the performances were so fresh, so intense that I felt that each and every emotion/action was directed only to me. Very nicely staged! The quality of talent in this show is also noticeable. Particular kudos to the man who portrayed Pippin. The ensemble too was Broadway caliber. The dancing in particular was exhilarating! I felt every kick and twist. Fosse lives in this production! This show is old, however, having been first conceived in the early 1970's. But there was very little that was tired or old or vintage. It was fresh and cutting edge. The Signature production was unlike any of the other presentations of Pippin I have seen. The actors' entrances came in from the audience entrances - all 4 corners of the theater - and it was enthralling. The close proximity made every actor seem like they were talking/singing just to me. Ms. Paula Brown reminds me of the persona of her mentor Mrs. Debbie Allen, because she is tenacious in her drive for perfection, but compassionate toward her students. For example, she knows when they are not giving their best and will push them--even for simple things like remembering to dress in uniform or keeping after their belongings. My daughter has taken jazz, contemporary, and Horton classes, but her favorite is classical ballet. In addition to class, my daughter has been able to participate in fashion shows for Lord & Taylor, a dance competition and annual trips to see the Alvin Ailey Dance Company perform at the Kennedy Center. The end of year recital is a very professional production at the Bowie Performing Arts Center, with beautiful costumes and moving music. In addition, parents are friendly and committed. It is well worth the time and money to send your daughter to PBPAC!

We went through lots of reps and practiced a lot to the music. By the end of our sessions, we felt extremely confident and our first dance went really well!
