Told my boyfriend to stop by this location after work hoping he would have luck and find a hello kitty plush i've been searching high and low for. As he was looking he saw an associate walk out of the back with 2 of them, when he confronted her she said " WE DONT HAVE IT " as she was holding 2 in her hand.... he walked around the store and asked another employee just for her to say that they don't have it in the system, if it's not in the system how did you ring out the other lady? At first this place can be over whelming. I'm not crafty but my daughter is-she has a old soul. I visited the Woodbridge location as well as the Little River Turnpike. The Woodbridge seems a bit easier to navigate through the store with the layout. I hate to say it but I like this place better than Michaels. The prices can be a bit more but so are the options. Michaels has good coupons so I won't jump ship just yet but I will compare both places. Hobby Lobby is also closed on Sundays which is my peak time to visit a crafts store. read more

ThHs could be the Mothership. This store is HUGE. And I've been in Hobby Lobby stores in Thr! It has everything. Good luck going in and only buying what you came for. I am giving a three star rating only because of my bad personal experience. The store clerk did not give me one of my bags. So, I had to drive out and get it- 40 min each way. What a waste of time. This is the Hobby Lobby chain store location in Woodbridge, VA among the Potomac Mills set of shops and business area. Stopped in there this weekend, and used a 40% off coupon on a home decor item, which turned out to be a great value. This is a YUGE store, with very nice employees who wander by and ask people shopping if they need anything. Recommended. I believe they are relatively new at this location in the last 1-year or so, as I had not noticed them previously on shopping ventures. Would visit and buy again. There were also in-store SALE items that did not need a coupon, usually, on the aisles. read more

Wow! Was the old Shopper's before this Hobby Lobby really that big? I don't know if it's Hobby Lobby or what, but this is a massive store! I am amazed I didn't go into debt! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wasn't expecting to spend almost two hours of Shopping. Albeit this store was like shopping overload. I honestly don't know if I'll ever return to Michael's anymore. I would defiantly recommend coming to this place before going to Michael's. I recently had my first time in the store and had a marvelous experience regarding a framing job with Jake. Went back to pick up the finished framed project and was horrified by the AWFULLY RUDE and ILL TEMPERED guy ... ED!!! On a one to ten rating he was a MINUS five! Wouldn't let me see the framed project before going up to the check out gal. I had to YELL his name to stop his racing to the front so I could see the completed project. Got back to the framing carpet topped counter area and he angrily started to blame me about having sticky tape on the glass, as he is ripping off harshly the plastic wrap. I told him he was perhaps mistaken about this project as the glass was totally free of all dirt as Jake and I had it almost all finished except for securing the print and mats with the nail gun, and adding the paper backing dust cover (plus the wire hangers, wire and the two bumpers). Easy and quick! Now to check out the framed project. There was no paper on the back so the project was NOT really completed. He told me I had wanted it that way. I asked if this is an acceptable finished project and he got angry because I challenged him about the project not being totally complete. He was ready to toss it in the cart, as is, when I told him this was not acceptable and I will complete the backing as I usually do my own framing at home and know the procedure. He very grumpily got to the task at hand and schlepped it together...wrinkling the back paper after doing a sloppy gluing job around the entire edge of the frame's back. He reinstalled the hangers and attached the wire. I reminded him to add the two wall bumpers as he grabbed the framed project and readied to sprint to the front of the store again for me to pay and leave. After the two bumpers were on, he did nab the framed job and I was left in the dust trailing him to the cashier. It was not wrapped in plastic to keep it safe and clean ... just a grab, run and get out of here as fast as you can go, type of service. UGH! After leaving the store, I immediately called my husband to tell him what I had just experienced with the HL framing guy. He started to laugh! He said don't tell me the name of that guy. Is it Ed? I was startled and amazed ... he got it right! I found out that Ed was a disgusting, mean, rude, rushing person that had been a framer plus an instructor at the Michael's art store in Manassas. He drove people out of the classes with his poor people and teaching skills (or lack there of) and was impatient, not knowledgeable and ended and closed down the 3 hour art classes OFTEN up to an hour early. He was a waste of time, a punk teacher and 100% rude! Finally Michael's bid him good bye much to the joy of many of the Michel's art students. So, now Hobby Lobby has this very .. difficult and "unique" person to work with their customers. Hey Hobby Lobby did you do a thorough background check on Ed? You might reconsider such a candidate even if you are hard up for employees. One bad apple ruins a barrel of good apples. His grumpy downcast demeanor should have been a LARGE clue of his lack of personal joy and how he will interact with customers. He needs Jesus, as do we all, but he surely didn't want to even hear a friendly hello from me. HL, please don't run a rehab place for social malcontents using your customers as therapists, when your goal is to glorify the Lord as you serve the needs and wants of your customers. Send Ed on his way ... ASAP! Everyone else in the store was MARVELOUS. Sorry to have to spill the beans about Ed but I can assume by the experiences my family has had with him, he'd most likely be a real downer for any employer. So sorry Hobby Lobby has him on board. I came in and the store seemed deserted. I think I saw one employee and a few customers. I spent some time going around the store but it seemed to be poorly organized. Finally I found a small can of flat black paint. But when I tried to buy it no one was at any of the few registers so I finally gave up, put down my small can of paint and left. Someone should convert the place into a grocery store!! read more

Be careful when purchasing fabric. I bought a yard of fleece the other day. When I got ready to use it, I found a white line running through the whole piece. It is not useable for my project. I did not save the receipt for a return. Double check before you buy!!! read more

Would NOT issue a REFUND or even a store credit because an Item was in original packaging, brand new condition, and a receipt....the BOX had been OPENED....WHATEVER...and the customer service clerk and manager seemed to have attitudes from the word go.....Will NEVER step foot in a Hobby Lobby again. I love hobby lobby but this location isn't as big as what I'm used to. They do have a wide selection of items here though whether you're running a business or for the casual hobby. They have great deals on some things but on other items they can be quite expensive. This location also isn't that well organized and it seems as though items that should be together are no where near each other. The staff is friendly though. read more

Wonderful store with a wide selection of merchandise. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The list prices tend to be a little high, but with the ever present sales and discount coupons, good bargains are easily had. My only complaint (and it is a minor one at that) is that the aisles are not numbered or labeled. I guess they just want you to wander around to buy more. read more

Loved the store. So excited to be there and have one in the area. The biggest issue I had was I wanted to buy a pillow insert and the price was not marked. An associate looked for the price, he actually ran to to the location. None of the prices were listed on any of the items on the shelf. A manager was called and she was horrible. She berated the associate, after about waiting 5 minutes for a price check I pulled up the price on the website and she made me wait another TEN minutes saying that he "needed to learn" after I was about to leave my items in the store, she gave the very pleasant cashier the ok to ring up the item at the price that I found in the hobby lobby website. Everything about the store was a 5 star except for the horrible horrible manager. She was older with a raspy voice. read more
