This was our second time shopping at Savers Thrift store and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived on a weekend afternoon. It's located in the Potomac Festival Shopping Center, so there are plenty of parking available. Upon entry, we found this location to be very clean and well organized. Towards the left, there's a counter housing many expensive items and then they have the books & media nestled in the corner area--it's a little reminiscent to the 2nd Ave thrift location in Alexandria. It appears that their items are hit or miss and our recent trip proved to be a hit (for example, we found 3 pairs of ice skates for our kiddos)! I will also admit that they do seem to lack in their variety department, however, they make it up in their pricing and great customer service (helpful & attentive). Based on our experience so far, we've had a wonderful thrifting experience at this location, we will be returning customers. **Take advantage of their discounts, on various days and when you donate your own stuff** read more

This place has some really good finds if you have the time to pick through it. I will say come when it's 25% off day. Sometimes they jack the prices up on certain items because it's a name brand item. Overall a pretty good thrift store and pretty organized too. read more

It's better than okay but their prices remind me of goodwill which are slightly elevated. If you are shopping for housewares or books you could luck out. Clothes although in good condition, I could hit up Burlington or Ross for similar prices. read more

This thrift store stands above the rest. The store is huge and offers something for everyone. I found lots of goodies at a great price. The store was so clean and lots of parking available. read more

Savers - Savers- Potomac Mills, VA - Thrift Stores Near Me - Woodbridge, Virginia

They def have great prices. Lots of selections especially in the clothes section. They have a bushier rack and that's always a hit or miss. Baby clothes galore. The household items looked a little slim but overall looks good. Don't know who is pricing but it's hit or miss. If you like books they have a bunch. It pays to sign up for the club since they are good with sending % off on email. read more

A hit or miss thrift store! I lucked out today and found the perfect frames for some artwork I've got. I also found a book on my TBR and a cute jewelry box. They've got a wide array of items for sale and the store is well organized and marked. Sometimes the shelves are a little messy or disorganized, but it's not terrible and it doesn't make shopping difficult. There are lots of great fabrics and scraps in the back corner of the store as well. Multiple self checkout lanes make the checkout process quick and easy. Not my fave thrift store as it tends to be a miss more than a hit for me, but still an average shop to add to your rotation! Always worth taking a look, you never know what treasures you'll find. read more

Not the greatest AMR Disappointed store was awful and teammebers are in slippers They were just yap at the self checkout area read more

This is another location of the Unique brand of thrift stores. It's smaller than the Merrifield location. I was left unimpressed with the clothing selection for 18 months girls and 4-5 boys. Few items looking new like they are in Merrifield. What was worth searching were the children's books. Great condition and all priced well below resale. The toy selection also seemed better than Merrifield ; however, I'm always hesitant to buy toys here as they are often broken or break soon after purchase. I prefer the Merrifield location, which is also closer to me, so I don't anticipate returning here regularly. read more

This is still a solid thrift store for the area. I would probably say one of the better one's. The goodwill, thrifty, 2nd Ave,are just trash dumps imo. At least this one seems organized and clean. I'm not a thrift shop expert but I enjoy coming here I've never leave empty handed. read more

This place is okay. They could stand to have employees working on stock and also straightening stock on the weekends. It was a mess when I went there this past Sunday. The shelves were a complete disarray and things weren't complete. They are also putting items that are broken or incomplete on the shelves. It could be the customers as it's very busy then but it's fine. They just need to do better and I think it would be a nice store. read more

Literally my fav shop!!!it's super clean and one of the most best thrift shops super good brands

Probably two and a half stars. It was four stars before they shut down their dressing rooms. I still buy shoes and household items there. Rarely go though since I'm typically wanting to buy clothes. I'll buy clothes I haven't tried on at Costco, since they'll actually give me my money back (instead of restricting returns to exchanges) and I have a year to take care of that there. I'm much less inclined to do so at savers with their restrictive policies. read more

The thrift finds are good, but the staff is horrible. They're always so rude and they aren't ever helpful. They like to stand together at the self checkout and gossip about the customers? Even the volunteers that take donations are extremely rude, they always roll their eyes when I ask for a coupon in exchange for my donations (they're supposed to give me one) Besides the staff, their prices are getting out of hand. It's unfortunate because I used to love coming here to shop but the current staff makes me never want to come here again. read more

I don't blame Savers, I blame Macklemore. I know that song came out a while back, but thrift stores still haven't recovered yet. The prices are quite high here. Just like any other Savers/thrift store, they seem to have someone pricing who has key brands they'll look for and mark up, regardless of the quality. This can be good for those with taste in higher end clothing, because a lot of the time those brands will slip under the radar... but this location doesn't have much high end brand names. The book selection here is where this place really shines. I've found so many gems. I'm not sure if everyone in the area has very good taste in books, or someone donated a very extensive collection, or people here just don't pick through the books. Anyway, I've found some beautifully bound classic books here. The prices are a little steep and the cashier won't normally do the buy-4-get-one-free unless you remind them, just a warning. The store is just barely organized. It's pretty messy, but not as bad as a lot of other thrift stores I've seen. The staff here seems to pick up quite often and restock semi-frequently. They're also pretty friendly, but not very knowledgeable from what I've seen. Regardless, at this Savers, like any other, you'll find some good stuff but you'll have to sift through a lot of junk in order to find it. Your finds depend on what day you go and if you get lucky. You can sign up for a Savers card (for free) and get email alerts as to when certain color tags go on sale. They don't have student ID discounts (on any days) here, though, like some other locations do. read more

Savers - Halloween selection - Thrift Stores Near Me - Woodbridge, Virginia

Savers used to be a great place to shop. The clothes were in good condition and the prices were great. Today I was informed by an employee that they have discontinued their fitting room permanently. Their policy is that you can exchange the item, but you can't get your money back. I have no idea how a business can operate this way. I always try on clothes before buying them. Each brand fits different, may not look good on, etc. furthermore, once I've given my money to Savers, I cannot get it back, even if there is nothing I like or anything that fits. Savers has completely gone down the drain! read more

10/10 i absolutely love savers!! I've been going since i was younger although this was my first visit in probably 7 years. they always have great prices or sales happening & their customer service is always so good! Its also a really big location so go walk in & just admire all your options. i got 7 items for $25 & they were all name brand! read more

This is not my favorite thrift store of them all, but it's a good shop. The prices can be really weird sometimes, almost as if they just guess at what a good price would be and throw it out there. I've found some really cool vintage clothes in here on occasion, but usually it's a lot of sort of smelly items. Not very well organized most of the time but I think that's pretty standard for most thrift shops. They have clothing, books, shoes, jewelry, purses, home decor, kids items, music, and movies. At Halloweentime they also sell costumes. read more

Fun place to wander around and find things that you didn't know you needed!well organized and fairly cl an

I'm a super-critic of thrift stores and this one was fantastic. The selection was well chosen, the prices were appropriate for a thrift store (1.99 shirt toddler shirt, $4.99 ladies jeans), and most importantly, everything was organized! I could walk into the ladies section of jeans and only look at my size. I absolutely hate walking into a thrift store where I have to sift through every single pair of jeans in the place. Workers were straightening shelves and placing new items out the entire time we were there. My friend and I also had multiple employees say hello to us and ask us how we were doing. Friendliness is important! I was impressed and will definitely be back. read more

One Star for well organized! We donated ten bags of clothing to this store, and they gave us a few stamps (without a thank you) on the coupon. Really??? We went there yesterday, tried to use the coupon after filled it up with stamps. It expired! Their prices are so different and EXPENSIVE! Looked like they priced each item by the brand and condition. They are used clothings, and they are NOT always IN GOOD condition. Holes, missing buttons.... That was the last last time we shop at Savers. We decided never to donate our stuffs to them again. Customer Service is just HORRIBLE! read more

This is the new kid on the block as far as Woodbridge thrift stores go. They are owned by the same company that runs Unique in Falls Church, so they have a tiered, top-secret pricing structure that can be a bit expensive. Another drawback is that they won't sell you something that is not priced. You have to leave it at the checkout and they price it and put it back out the next day. The layout is good and everything is clearly marked. They definitely have more clothes than furniture or housewares, but every category you can think of is represented. This is a fun place to look for old vinyl records and books! Parking is plentiful, and around Halloween, they have a huge costume section. read more

Pros: Most of the items are more organized than most thrift shops and are at great bargains The floor staff are all relatively helpful especially Johnny, he always has a smile, is courteous and respectful. He will help you find what you are looking for and will provide recommendations if not available. Cons: Some items are way too expensive for a thrift shop In contrast, to the regular floor staff, some of the floor managers, not all, need to take a customer service course or need to apply what little sense of customer service knowledge they may have and apply it. Heck, a little bit of common courtesy goes a long way in this type of business. It's almost as if the job was too good for them. There is one who definitely needs to go....................ahem, go receive some training. This person will go unnamed for now. If it was not for the experiences that I have had with the floor managers, I would have rated this a lot higher. Too bad for the bad apples in the barrel. read more

The clothes are expensive considering the condition they are in. They were have half off yellow tags and I looked and looked and could not find one yellow tag item. I would not waste your time coming here. The other locations in MD are better. Maybe it's the time we are in that good donation are not being made. Please listen...do not go to this location. read more

This is the worst thrift store I've ever seen, there prices are way higher than any thrift store I've ever seen. They don't have bags when you check out your stuff at the cashier and you have to pay to use their bags like they make a lot money off this store and u gotta pay for just using their bags and to top it off the price for clothes are ridiculously high I suggest going somewhere else for better price. read more

This is a great overall store to browse through. Its not deeply discounted compared to other thrift stores but you can find some "gems". I found a Little Tykes Play kitchen that was like new and paid only $12 when brand new it would be $50-70. read more

Love this thrift store!! I always find something cute, and prices are amazing! They have deals certain days of the week so some items are an additional 50% off (I got a super cute necklace for $1). I think they have tried organizing more since the last reviews because when I went it was very well organized! Their clothes and shoe collection is amazing, as well as their home decor/item section! Definitely one of my top stores. read more

This thrift store is well organized and has some great selections. The reason I give it two stars is because the slogan is a lie! Maybe I'm too used to the cheapie cheap thrift stores here in Richmond but Savers is pricey! I understand things can be in a decent condition but I'm not going to pay $14 for a dress if I can go to a real store and get a brand new one for that price. This store is not for me. read more

This has been my favorite thrift store in the year that I have moved here. I've bought some beautiful antique furniture, Pottery Barn accessories for my home, books, brand new Yankee candles, etc. I try to go in once a week even though it is a 30 minute drive for me. I recently spent $60 in the store and walked away with some great bargains.Today I went in and there must be a new pricing sheriff in town, because the prices are out of control. Some examples are: $20 for a Walmart brand purse, $5 on a Dollar Tree metal basket, $6 on a Dollar Tree candle, several bakers marked $8 and up, genetic artwork marked at $20 a piece, frames for $8. These are new prices. I am a brand savvy shopper and it taking advantage when you try to charge new prices for items donated. Whoever is new and pricing, needs to remember it is thrift store. I'll try again in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, a manager takes a look at how items are being priced in store. In the meantime, I will buy new. read more

I been to all thrift stores in Woodbridge, VA. Sometimes you can find great quality and just unbeatable prices. However, savers kids selection is not the best. Their prices are too high and if the price is cheap than the shirt is all worn out. I just think that at a thrift store the shirts for children shouldn't cost $4.99 or higher especially when you can go children's place or TJmaxx or Marshall and buy brand new one for the same price. I shop a lot TJMaxx for kids clothes amazing kids clearance price you wouldn't believe. Goodwill's children's clothes are all the same price ( hit and miss quality) , second avenue thrift store better children quality and prices and the salvación has children's clothing for .99 and on Wednesday they have 25%. Second Avenue has 50% Monday and Sunday. read more

Its a regular thrift store & Im a college student. The prices are kind of high but mainly for branded clothes. I try not to buy branded because whats the point, I just buy it if its cute and I will actually wear it. In the womens section there was a lot to choose from, a lot of the jeans are lowrise which sucks because everyone is looking for high rise. For the mens section which i also look in, its never a surprise for something good, its rare for a guy to thrift. Theres a small amount of furniture but a lot of small house and wall decor. The shoes are good quality too, I bought some faux leather booties. If you're hip to todays style, this store wont be a downer. read more

This is the best thirft store I've ever been to!They have really cute clothes! Some of the clothes look brand new and also look like they're in great condition! They have a big selection of books, cds, homeware, purses, and etc! However, I wasn't really impressed with the selection they have with their shoes and movies. Overall, the store is pretty well organized and the pricing is very affordable! I'll come back to shop here again! :) read more

The smell is so bad in here it gave me a massive headache for hours after a short trip inside the store. Really, really bad smells that they tried to cover with massive amounts of pinesol and bleach. I've visited this shop a few times since I found about it several months ago. It's large and has a decent selection . In my opinion, they could double their inventory on the shelves - things are not bare, but somewhat sparse. Prices are higher than I expect for a thrift shop, but not outrageous. Getting help at the jewelry counter can be tedious - I've had to ask a cashier to page someone both times I've been. Everybody I've dealt with there speaks native English. read more
