So, first I would like to mention how great, polite and kind Kevin Everytime I have an opportunity to see him. I met Evelyn I believe once, she just seemed to want to get through paperwork and get me out. She wasn't rude or mean but I feel Kevin goes out of his way. So I have a storage here. I mean place is nice, clean and secure. I have the space abt 6 months..they sent me a letter informing me that prices would be going up, yet I am looking at internet and prices are not then same. Do I need to move out items and redo contract to get the new deal online? I need to follow up with them since they sent me information last month but with family and holidays I had forgotten, but when I was working on bills I remembered. I have to find out why new move ins are lower than the regular. Follow up: I wanted to share that as soon as customer service saw my review they reached out. I spoke to gentleman name Brian. Overall, this place get high marks for the friendly service and extremely clean and secure locks for their storage units because they use a cylinder lock. Did I mention they give you one for free when you rent a unit? :) I do miss the Ikea size elevator and being able to park my car under the building next to an the elevator from my old storage company in SD. It would be nice if self storage companies have those large laundry basket like the ones they use in hotels to help load loose items that are in trash bags, framed artwork and fragile items like lamps. Other than that I'm really happy I picked this place. I feel that my belongings will be well protected until I find a place to move into. read more

She noticed that we were struggling with the front entrance, so she helped us find a unit in the back, where it was quieter and easier to move in. I transferred from a storage facility to this location and it has been great. This location is clean, accessible hours, has protected units with keypad entry and very nice staff. I am really pleased with this facility! I feel safe coming to the facility and feel safe that my items will remain secure. The moment I stepped onto their property and saw the type of security they had there I instantly knew that I wanted to leave my old storage which was an old lack of security over-charging storage place down the road.. Evelyn and Kevin has this comfortable friendly aura around them that you can feel like you can trust them and they were going to be straightforward with you about their units. They were completely professional on every questions I had and tried their best to accommodate to any storage related request you had like trunk rentals etc. I'm truly impressed with the amount of security they have surrounding everything but the amount of times you gotta punch in your code to get in the door then for the elevator is a bit tiring but it's worth it for your safety and it helps you remember your code a lot faster. Their units are at much cheaper price and bigger than most from other storages in the area, I truly feel my stuff is safe and secured there. I'm a fan that their access time is up until like 10 I think which longer than most but the alarm sound is annoying times. read more

Awesome facility. Brand spanking new. So new that Google Earth still shows just the unfinished superstructure. When I got out of my vehicle I could still smell the exterior paint. The manager Evelyn was very helpful and polite explaining everything in detail. Everything is spotless, even the unit itself. When I say spotless I'm talking hospital clean. The rates are very reasonable. In fact they are at least 30% below two older nearby competitors on Mission Rd. I don't think you will find a better rate at any facility in the San Gabriel Valley area. You certainly won't find one as clean and shiny. They have excellent security. Video cameras everywhere with dozens of feeds on display behind the counter. I didn't count them, but there looked to be at least 30+ feeds. The facility is located in a nice low crime area to boot. If you need help loading or unloading they are just a few blocks away from a Home Depot where Day Laborers are always readily available at reasonable rates. Big bonus for me is that it's less than 10 minutes from my home. I think I won the storage lottery this time around. If you are in need of storage you really need to check this place out. Her performance certainly made me believe that to be true. I have 20 years of customer service experience myself, so I can tell when someone is being genuine or just an actor. When they told me my unit was on the second floor accessible by elevator I was worried. But for nothing, because the elevator was no different than just an extra few feet of hallway. They've always been very professional and courteous including helpful suggestions according to the needs I had on switching units. I used to use the Public storage in San Gabriel, then A1 opened up close by, and I checked it out. So happy I did! Evelyn and Kevin are very friendly and informative! They also keep the location very clean, you rarely see trash on the floor. All the other storage renters are very curtious too. The restrooms are clean! There is 24hour surveillance and gated code entry points everywhere. I feel comfortable about storing my stuff there. Definitely recommend. They are also cheaper than Public Storage! Wow! Talk about great service! Evelyn and Kevin went way above and beyond to help me. I haven't seen service like this since the 1950's. You know the service station scene in Back to the Future? Well that's what it feels like dealing with Evelyn and Kevin. Note to management: You need to do whatever you can to hang on to these two as long as possible. On top of great service the facility is extremely clean, very secure, and even has bathrooms with coded entry on each floor. I was also lucky enough to get their FREE moving van for my short haul move. And to top it off, the rental rates are no higher than those of far inferior storage facilities in the area. 5 stars? A1 is the best. I shopped around SGV for a storage place. All the other ones were super sketchy. They were dirty, felt insecure and I felt like you could cut through the wall from one storage unit to the next. A1 feels very secure. They have a great security system. Ok so, where do I start? I checked this place out online the other day for info on storage units since I was considering moving my stuff from a competitor who shall remain unnamed. I placed a hold on a larger unit and someone called me a short time later to thank me for my reservation. That's a great way to start! So, I went in a bit later that same day and talked with Kevin who showed me around the facility and showed me a couple of units I was interested in. The place is clean and well lit and the security systems and procedures are top notch if you ask me. Granted it's a new building less than a year old but these guys know their business. The more he explained the details the more I thought how dumb it would be for me NOT to rent here. So I did. I moved in today and thanks to Evelyn all went really smooth. That's how competent they are here. They let you use their truck to move your stuff in and it includes some miles but not gas. Still it was way cheaper to move in than if I had to rent a UHaul or something. Once word gets out about this place I bet they'll be full really soon. Oh well, at least I got a space for my stuff and I feel really good about the whole thing. What more can I say? 5 star rating! read more
