Our server was so nice and the food was great! Definitely recommend. We ordered dessert which we don't normally do but it was so good!!

It has been a while since I visited a 99 restaurant. I swear they used to have a larger menu. I order the 8oz sirloin and grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and a salad. Salad was great. Shrimp was as well, mashed potatoes were mashed potatoes. The sirloin was the most flavorless steak I've ever had. Very thin, but they did cook it medium rare which was difficult due to the thinness of the cut. I'm not sure what I was expecting, I hoped better than Applebees which was my only other choice. There was a highly regarded Indian restaurant close to my hotel which recently decided to close on Tuesdays, alas. The shining light on the evening was the wait staff! Everyone I had was great. If you look at the plate, the grilled lemon at the top was refrigerator cold. Must be prepared in batches who knows when.

This was my second time at the restaurant but first time at this location. This location was really clean, employees were really friendly, but the food didn't have any seasoning at all. Appetizer- My son ordered a appetizer. He love cheese sticks, so the cheese sticks were shaped like a moon. He really really enjoyed them. Entree- My son had a steak, broccoli, and mashed potatoes and he didn't enjoy it. He ate 1/2 of the steak because he was able to use steak sauce. The potatoes and the broccoli, he left. I had shrimp, potatoes and Mac and cheese. I don't eat bacon so I sent the Mac and cheese back. The potatoes had no seasoning, so I put some on it. I ate the majority of my shrimp and some potatoes. We both had strawberry lemonade and it was delicious. If I had to do it all over again, I would get the same entree except the sides. Maybe a side salad.

Really enjoyed my visit. Ordered the surf and turf. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and had a nice char. Stuffed shrimp were fresh and tasty. Will be back soon.

Typical chain restaurant up in N.E. area, big menu, good food and many food/drink specials. The one in Rutland ,VT. is great!

I think the ihop in Enfield is well above most others, but The Farmers House was something else entirely. The food was so good and the kids talked about it all day. The staff were quick and friendly, but busy. We all got something different (French toast, an omelette, and kids pancakes) and each of the three of us were very pleased with our choices. They don't do anything here you haven't had before, but they do everything very well. The only thing I could say was not great, and I hate complaining about things like this, is the parking. I know that's got little to do with the restaurant itself, but it is not the easiest spot to get in and out of, especially with everything going on at the X lately.

However, our party of four waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Even coffee took quite a while to arrive. A canned coke was delivered 20 minutes after ordering. Three out of the four entrees were served after waiting for 50 minutes, the other one took an additional 5 minutes and we waited for another 5 minutes to receive the side. The food was mostly good - Omelet was chock full of meat and was delicious. Bacon was really good. Burger was average and fried chicken was kind of meh - crispy, but very dry. We did enjoy the live acoustic music. It was great to hear live music in the morning since most places only have it at night. However, the excessive wait for food really overshadowed the rest of our visit. Oh well.....

The first thing that increased my appetite was the aroma. Our waitress, Rachel, was very friendly and advised us that the cook made outstanding pasta dishes. I ordered a veal dish that was outstanding-fresh vegetables, quality veal and my son's pasta with sausage was great. We had the daily soups with our meals-chicken noodle and stuffed pepper both were outstanding-fresh vegetables, chicken, and the stuffed pepper soup tasted like a stuffed pepper. Outstanding service by Rachel, outstanding homemade food with fresh vegetables and quality meats. We ordered two entrees for home the broasted chicken and veal franchise (excellent)\. Finally, the prices of all meals are reasonable. We will be going again!!!!!!!! I highly recommend--give this place a visit.

What I saw made me loss my appetite- *cook would text, and then handle precooked and cooked food without washing hands or even wiping off hands. *also would rub face and then go back to handing food that was being platted up *not once did I see him wash his hands. Closest to cleaning hands was wiping hands on sides of dirty apron. Which only would happen from time to time. Really disappointing to see a lack of hygiene with the items coming off of the griddle top.

I mainly visited since it was nearby, but also because they offered a standout Ruben, keyword 'offered' as in they don't have it anymore. My colleague loves Reubens but he ended up having to order something else furing our visit. This ended up being a good thing because he was super happy with his choice afterward. I looked over the menu and there were other menu items also crossed off, but still plenty of options to choose from. Their burgers are handpressed but only 6 oz. That is a little small for me, especially when I'm hungry. After conversing with the gentleman behind the counter about my options, we both agreed I should go with the spicy fried chicken sandwich. I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich which comes with homemade fries and their homemade green tea with ginger and mint. My colleague ordered the pork cutlet sandwich and said it was amazing due to the apple chunks on the sandwich. Both were actually daily specials listed on their board to the right of the menu. My sandwich was quite large and spicy with the fresh jalapenos and a spicy sauce. It reminded me of the large chicken sandwich at Longhorn Steakhouse, but this one was even larger and better. The fries are fresh cut which made this meal perfect. This restaurant is truly nothing special from the outside appearance and both my colleague and I even thought it looked closed when we were driving by. He also said he doubts they have any seating, but we were both wrong. Don't doubt yourself about this restaurant. It is a truly hidden gem with some uniquely prepared foods waiting inside. They had limited beverages. I wanted regular iced tea, but ended up with the homemade green tea with mint and ginger which was pretty good, but no free refills. Service was of course excellent. I interacted with the gentleman a couple more times as I knew I'd need a lot more napkins to tackle this food.

The small seating area is clean but lets you know that this is a great place for takeout. I entered about 15 minutes before closing (2:00 PM) and half expected a terse greeting. Instead, I was patiently given time to look over the menu of both meat-based and vegetarian dishes. I ordered the half grilled cheese sandwich with soup and salad. Everything was fresh and delicious, and a bargain at $15.95. If you're in the area for breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend Eat!
