tempura shrimp - Five pieces of tempura shrimp with a crispy, golden batter are arranged on white paper, accompanied by a small cup of red dipping sauce. The dish is set on a dark wooden table, with additional food items visible in the background, indicating a casual dining environment.

Ordered three specials, each was the perfect amount of chicken. Everything was tasty. Shrimp tempura was small and crispy. Service and Food was quick. Location is very clean and small, room for about 15 people to sit. Prices were very reasonable.

Red sweet onion chicken - A plate features Korean fried chicken pieces topped with a creamy, white sauce and garnished with sliced onions and herbs. The chicken appears crispy and is served on a white paper-lined dish. In the background, a person’s arms, a can of soda, and some food items are visible, indicating a casual dining setting.

Very small korean chicken joint but everything I had was delicious. Portions were good. A nice selection of flavors. Can't wait to try more.

92 Chicken is part of a large chain of Korean Fried Chicken restaurants that have thankfully brought this delicious fare to Lawrence, Kansas. It's my understanding this is owned by the same folks that opened Tous Les Jours bakery a few doors down, a brilliant shop offering amazing twists on Asian and French savory and sweet goods along with coffees and teas. While I find Tous Les Jours to be brilliant, the excellence found there is clearly missing here. 92 Chicken needs a bit of work and supervision not necessarily related to their food, which a couple of us found to be quite good. It'd be the perfect complement for a game day at home with drinks, or just a quiet movie night. First off, you order and pay from an electronic console which I found to be quite easy to use. You can grab free water from near that same location or there are soft drinks that only covered maybe 1/4 of a huge refrigerated area, no one's definition of presentation, but did give a glowing light displaying all of its emptiness in its finest, a bit jarring. Could have dealt with that, but the single server operating the front was dressed what I'd call borderline inappropriate or unprofessional, was spending plenty of time on a cell phone, and sorry to go there, but had the personality of a brick. No pleasantness, no thank yous, but clearly an apparent desire to be elsewhere doing something other than the job at hand. Not a single smile in the 30+ minutes we were there. Service was slow and quite a few people had gathered outside and didn't appear to be real happy about it. The counter is a hot mess of things stacked on it that should be kept away from public view like to go containers, cups, bags for to go orders, etc. The service employee actually spraying sanitizer on a table while people were seated shocking. Maybe turn your back, spray the cloth, then wipe down next time. Whoever is in charge and managing here, they were clearly not present. The bakery a couple of doors down doesn't operate like this. The issue here isn't the food which we found quite good, it's the people working and the lack of supervision on our visit. I'd definitely give them another go, and if not fixed, happy to drive to Kansas City to get my fix.

Front counter area. - The image shows the interior of a Korean fried chicken restaurant, featuring a counter with a digital monitor, a refrigerator, and various menu posters displaying fried chicken dishes. The wall behind the counter is painted red and black, with a sign reading '92 Chicken' and 'Korean Style Chicken.' A wooden table with chairs is positioned in the foreground, and the floor is made of wood. The space is lit by ceiling lights, and there are beverage dispensers and water bottles on the counter.

The first visit to 92Chicken for my family of four was great. We split a full honey garlic chicken, an order of tempura chicken, and an order of the fried dumplings. It took 15m for everything to come out from the kitchen. We loved everything that we ordered. We would return again.

Pickled radish - A white ceramic bowl with the logo 'Choong Man G' contains cubed pickled radish slices. The bowl is on a wooden table with a natural finish, and part of a person's hand is visible in the background. The setting appears to be inside a Korean fried chicken restaurant, with a menu or display visible in the background.

Very delicious! I have been twice without complaint. A welcome change to the standard fast food in Lawrence.

If someone is ordering a pizza from someplace, and someone else wants wings with it, then we get them from Lawrence Ks Wing Co. It's just how it is. I have no idea what the place looks like. I've never been to the store personally. I have no idea if the staff is friendly and helpful. I've only ordered online. The only thing I know is that if I want some wings, then they are the go to source... ...unless it's outside their business hours - for instance right now as I write this at lunchtime on a Thursday... dang it! Apparently they are too good for lunch. Most of the time, the wings are perfect. The only complaint we have ever had was once they were a bit dry/overcooked. But we ate them anyway. So yeah. This tiny postage stamp of a kitchen is tucked inside the dive bar Lucia downtown on the east side of the street between 10th and 11th. Not particularly a hopping kind of bar, but has a somewhat active live music scene that occurs mostly between Thursday and Saturday nights. So if you're going to base your entire business on one product, you'd better be on your A game all the time, because there's plenty of competition in this college town. These folks are ON it. Mission accomplished. Split a dozen boneless wings, crunch Thai with a friend. Couldn't believe it. An hour or so later I ordered another dozen. Both times we were told "we'll have it in the window in 6 minutes." And, you guessed it, 6 minutes later there they were, with ranch and blue cheese dipping sauces and plenty of napkins. How good are they? If you're calling in delivery (which I observed) or carry-out from that place with the Buffalo logo, please... just stop and reward yourself properly. Now I'm finding out they open specifically for KU basketball games. Talk about the perfect place to watch, because there's lots of space, there's an outdoor area if you wish to escape the dive bar part (which is kind of cool, actually), and plenty of TV screens. Good line-up of beer, full bar, world class wings. What's to not like? So good we plan to make it a destination for dinner this week. You'd walk by the tiny window they have on the street and never give it a second thought, like I did many times. Time to rectify that. These folks deserve our collective business.

Total comfort food. The hamburgers are juicy and delicious, and the drinks are just as strong. The Old Fashioned is my go-to every time. I've tried a few other cocktails, but I always come back to this one--it never disappoints. The staff is always so friendly and helpful--great service every visit. Yes, parking can be a little tight, but that's part of the charm and uniqueness of Big Mill and its history. We've had a couple of visits where the crust tasted slightly like old butter, but it's only happened a few times and definitely hasn't stopped us from going back. Great pizza, great burgers, strong drinks, and consistently friendly service--we'll keep coming back.

The food is good but it's not GREAT. I think the prices are a bit high for what you get. To me, this is a restaurant that is trying to be fancy but can't pull it off. Parking is a crap shoot, at best. The parking lot is super small. The restaurant is easy to access for those with mobility concerns. There will be those who disagree with me but there isn't anything outstanding about this establishment. Every time I have been here, the service has been lacking. Everyone is friendly enough but they have problems getting my take out orders correct. I usually get a burger to go. Oh, yeah... fries are extra. If I'm paying $14 for a cheeseburger, you would think fries would be included. Not here. Bottom line... it's not bad but there are other, better restaurants in town.

Overall, the food is OK, but just fairly average in my opinion. they do have a nice outdoor patio, although it might be too hot in the summertime as there is no covering for shade.
