Restaurant Manager Alex Tuckwin and Chef Ty Armstrong created a personal, unforgettable evening. Each course was beautifully prepared, each wine pairing thoughtfully chosen. The flavors, the setting, the kindness-all exceptional. I didn't know my taste buds could be so astounded! We felt welcomed, relaxed, and truly cared for. It was a five star experience in the heart of a college town. A hidden gem we'll remember for a long time. There are plenty of unhealthy options on the menu, but there are also some healthier options if you're careful. My sister did not join us because there's too many tempting unhealthy choices. So if you can't resist a good cheeseburger with fries, don't go here! I LOVE all of sauce choices! I love how they have them on the menu showing how they go from mild to hot. We ordered 20 wings to share with the table (5 of us), but I ended up eating 10 of them! They were so good! We got 10 Honey Siracha flavored and 10 Double Dipped. We all preferred the Honey Siracha. The double dipped didn't have as flavor. They add tortilla chips to the basket, but they didn't seem to have any seasoning on them. They were very bland so no one ate them. I got the grilled shrimp and a side of coleslaw for my meal. The coleslaw was pretty bland, so I ended up not eating it. But the shrimp was very tasty, and a healthy portion (and healthy option). The plate came with 2 hush puppies which I didn't try. They were pretty small and looked over cooked, but my niece ate them and said they're delicious! My daughter got the same thing but with fries. We got some fried mac and cheese bites. I didn't know they had jalapeño in them. I tried one bite of one. They were pretty spicy, but good. My niece got the shrimp tacos. They looked pretty good. They come with a side and she got fries. She was only able to eat one taco and took the rest home. Her daughter got to eat for free (from the kids menu). She got the mac and cheese with a side of apple sauce. I tried the mac and cheese. It was ok. She didn't eat anything, but kids are weird. Her mom took it home for her to eat later. My other niece got the boneless wings and loved them. Hers came with tortilla chips. Altogether our bill was about $65 before tip. We had water to drink. I might go back again. If I don't, it's only because I try to eat healthy and there's a lot of temptations here. I give 5 stars because most everything was very good and the server was very nice too. This tiny postage stamp of a kitchen is tucked inside the dive bar Lucia downtown on the east side of the street between 10th and 11th. Not particularly a hopping kind of bar, but has a somewhat active live music scene that occurs mostly between Thursday and Saturday nights. So if you're going to base your entire business on one product, you'd better be on your A game all the time, because there's plenty of competition in this college town. These folks are ON it. Mission accomplished. Split a dozen boneless wings, crunch Thai with a friend. Couldn't believe it. An hour or so later I ordered another dozen. Both times we were told "we'll have it in the window in 6 minutes." And, you guessed it, 6 minutes later there they were, with ranch and blue cheese dipping sauces and plenty of napkins. How good are they? If you're calling in delivery (which I observed) or carry-out from that place with the Buffalo logo, please... just stop and reward yourself properly. Now I'm finding out they open specifically for KU basketball games. Talk about the perfect place to watch, because there's lots of space, there's an outdoor area if you wish to escape the dive bar part (which is kind of cool, actually), and plenty of TV screens. Good line-up of beer, full bar, world class wings. What's to not like? So good we plan to make it a destination for dinner this week. You'd walk by the tiny window they have on the street and never give it a second thought, like I did many times. Time to rectify that. These folks deserve our collective business.

Yes, parking can be a little tight, but that's part of the charm and uniqueness of Big Mill and its history. This was casual and delicious. I loved the buffalo Mac n cheese. The bowl was a good amount and I was able to share it with my one year old. It was spicy, but not too much.
