I definitely don't recommend this place at all if you're black. They literally racily segregated my daughter and my niece and said to us that they're busy and I kept asking about when will they be available again and they're saying they're busy and it's literally multiple nail tech inside and all my daughters wanted was regular paint no acrylic, natural nails with gel polish And they told us that they were busy all day and to go back to the Slason. Which I think that's out of line to talk to some kids in their mother like that. Waited in my car and I seen a Caucasian little girl and her mom go right in there and they set them down. This behavior is effing disgusting. Fact, if they told us go back to Los Angeles and we are in Beverly Hills is beyond appalling if a manager runs this place, you need to speak to your employees about this cause that's disgusting. After having so much trouble at other nail salons in the area I am so happy I found 7Q. It's easy to make an appointment and more importantly, when you come for your appointment time they are ready to take you unlike other salons that make you wait an extreme amount of time before you are seen. Unfortunately, I've had a couple of meh experiences here and can't recommend it anymore and won't be returning. Most recently, my gel nails chipped after 2 days / 5-6 of my nails were completely messed up after about 4 days. Either the nail polish used isn't great or the work isn't great. I called them a couple of times on Sunday (yelp says they're open) to get my nails repaired, but no one answered - so I don't know if they would have repaired them. Also, my toe nails don't look great - were cut way too short and rounded on the edges, which is just a weird look for nails. Good people, but not worth the time or money. read more

Wonderful, I've been coming here for almost a decade, that's how much I like it. They are accommodating, genuinely good people and consistent in their work. Ada is lovely, gives an amazing shoulder massage and all the manicurist do a good job. I drive all the way here from Mar Vista, even though I've moved since I started to come here, there are no other reasonably priced for the quality available where I live. I am extremely disappointed and honestly saddened with the attitude and service of this place. I have been coming here to John for quite sometime and fortunately he's getting married! Unfortunately, he's gone for 3-4 months! I decided to still come back to 7Q nails because I thought the service was good and the staff was cool. However my last two experiences here have been nothing less that disrespectful and just plain and simple rude. I called on Sunday and made an appointment for 6 PM on Monday evening. I came in at 6:05 (I'll be honest). Literally no one said anything or did anything which made me assume that they knew what I already wanted. They told me to just sit down. Tony, the owner, and another lady were free. Another customer walked in maybe 10 minutes after me, and for whatever reason Tony went to her and started doing her nails! The owner started wrapping the nails of a customer who had walked in before me! After he wrapped her nails, he literally just walked around the salon doing random stuff all while I am STILL waiting. I was getting visibly annoyed and I had dinner plans at 8 that I was afraid I was going to be late for. When someone finally asked me at 6:25 what I wanted, I was just like are you kidding me? They are addressing other clients by their name and knew exactly what they wanted, but I was just sitting like a potato for 25 minutes??? They didn't start working on my nails till 6:30! I was sooo shocked because not only did I make an appointment in advance, they were free when I walked in! Regardless, I got my mani/pedi done and it was fine. The manicure was good; my lady Cham was sweet and the pedicure was fine. A little painful with the cuticle cut, BUT it was whatever. My only issue & the most important thing was the foot scrub/buff they do. When I was getting ready I noticed that my feet were super "crusty". They felt rough and that's not how my heels usually are! I get pedicures often, do foot scrubs, and put coconut oil every night!! Anyways, I called the place up that day and they were closed so I tried the next morning. The guy told me to come in later and they will fix it. I get there after work and in front of everybody the guy I did not speak too (I talked to the owner) kept asking what I wanted even though I kept looking at the owner and telling him I called you earlier. So I had to explain the foot issues to a bunch of random people in the salon. Awkward. He told me to sit again, and I saw that they did what they did yesterday again. I finally asked what time I should come back when they would be free; after waiting FREAKING 15 MINUTES he says "you should come back tomorrow." I was like no I've been waiting and I want to get it resolved today. He was like no you didn't tell me what time you were going to come, I was like I told you I was going to come in the afternoon (ALSO I have never been to this salon before 5PM. I always always come after work and have also always made my appointments with John directly!) He tried to tell me that I just needed to put lotion on it and he couldn't help me. Uhm hello, I have been putting lotion on it all day! I was trying to explain that either he didn't do it correctly or he went against the grain of the foot scrubber because the skin is lifted and rough. He pretty much told me no one was gonna be able to help me and to come back tomorrow to Kevin despite me telling him I didn't want the same person to fix it. But it's like why I do have to come back to the salon for 3 days to fix something to takes 10 minutes at most! I won't be coming back till John get backs or someone besides the owner can call me and explain to me why this is acceptable and even allowed? I have been coming here every 2-3 weeks for months now. Happy customer every time! parking is super easy, grab a smoothie before hand at juice crafters across the street. It is super fair pricing, but do not expect fancy chairs, tv's and decals. Its also busy so I would say the best time to go is in the morning, I usually go at 4pm during the week days and its not too crazy but you can tell they are popular from the bussiness they bring in. They do have many colors and have done a great job every single time no complaints so far! they are super friendly and everyone seems to know each other and come in regularly. So as I was getting my nails done a girl walked in and said she had had her nails done the day before and they had chipped. It was almost closing time so the people were kind of annoyed with her and didn't want to fix her nails. I didn't think much of it until the next morning when I looked down at my feet and my nails had chipped. I didn't love this place as I was getting my nails done. They were fast and they barely rubbed lotion on my hands or feet and called it a massage (which we all know is the best part) but for my feet not to even last a week is weird. I walked in and was helped immediately. Multiple staff helped me find the color I was looking for with out abandoning other customers. Min even allowed me to try not one, not two, but three different polishes before I made my decision. She then perfectly shaped my nails (painlessly I might add). I have been coming here since I stopped going to Contempo Nails (due to getting skipped over when people would come in yelling that they only had 5 minutes, yada yada yada, they would actually STOP doing my nails and go to the yeller to accommodate them.) Anyway, I enjoyed not getting skipped over here and the job I would get varied from lovely to meh. But I cannot return after yesterday. I may be a bit of a mama bear, but as a celebration before the first day of school my daughters and I go for manicures. My 12 year old is particularly sensitive, as 12 year olds can be. So as we are getting our nails done, the guy doing mine turns around and inspects my daughters hands at the next chair and announces "TOO SHORT!" I see my daughters face wilt, and she slowly curled her hand up so her nails couldn't be seen. She was embarrassed and felt bad about herself because of this jerk. So, I said to him that we come out to get our nails done for fun and celebration before school starts and now he has made her feel badly about herself all he can mumble is a question about when is school starting. Anyway, when I paid, I said to him, as I didn't think the message got thru the first time, that it was rude to call out her nails and he shouldn't speak that way to a 12 year old girl and make her feel bad about her appearance. He offered no apology at all and said "in two weeks her nails would be longer." WTF? There are many nail places to choose from and you shouldn't treat people, especially children this way. Went in near closing on Friday. No one stood up or came over to help me. Stood at front desk for awkwardly too long and only when I turned to leave did someone ask if they could help me. Said I wanted gel mani pedi and man told me it was 41. They were kind enough to take me even though it was 20min to closing but I had to wait 15 min for them to begin my service. The lady owner was definitely looking me up and down with judgement. I was in casual clothes. Not dressed to impress. After being seated they rushed doing my nails. I changed my mind and wanted gel mani normal pedicure. They didn't have my gel pedi color in normal polish so I told them to continue with original gel mani and pedi. Toni did a good job with the mani. Another guy handled my pedicure and did a good job overall although he worked so fast I definitely was not feeling pampered. When it came time to pay they upcharged me to 57. They claimed 41 was for gel mani normal pedicure even tho I hadn't said that when priced at front! I still tipped Toni as he did a good service last minute but the mani pedi was not worth 70! Not coming here ever again. read more

This isn't the first time this happened. And I have seen them turn away other customers well before close because they want to go home. I am not sure the manager is aware of this but if a business is advertised as open until 8 pm then they should honor their business hours. Came in on a busy saturday afternoon for gel nail extensions. Making an appointment and getting situated wasn't a problem but what really grossed me out was how unhygienic this place was. The floor was really dirty with nail clippings and cuticles,the suede couches they make you sit on had stains and dust all over them. I saw a piece of acrylic nail tip wedged between my cushions and felt really grossed out. I get that this isn't a fancy place so I was willing to overlook the uncleanliness but my nails did not look good at all. The paint and the cuticles were really uneven and some of the paint got on my skin as well. I didn't bother asking my guy to fix them because I could tell he paid no attention to details and was rushing through the whole thing. My sister and I were looking for a nail place to get our nails did on Robertson. Who would have thought there were so many nail places within a block of each other! We checked out a bunch of place but we decided to try out the place with the grand opening sign because we kind of liked the feel of it. When we got to the store a guy ( later we found out this was Alex) came outside and greeted us. When we walked in, there were 2 other people there so we were seated quickly. Lucky for us we came in just before a mini rush as there were a bunch of women who came in after us. All seemed to know the people in there. We thought maybe the grand opening sign was old but turns out (as we heard through the conversations) that they opened a week prior and a bunch if people came over from a salon across the street. Apparently they are the best because a number of their customer base followed them. It's been about 2 weeks since my pedicure and it is still going strong.
