The pedicurist cut my toe open and now I have a foot infection. I was bleeding and told her she was hurting me and she didn't stop cutting. Now I can't walk or wear shoes. I had to have an operation on my toe after and take three seperate courses of antibiotics. Every one was shocked at how badly my toe was cut by the pedicurist and couldn't believe she was an actual "professional". I paid over $400 to heal this toe and I'm still recovering. Do not support this business!!! When I called to tell them what happened the owner yelled and me and hung up on me instead of apologizing!!! I could sue but I don't have the energy. Worst pedicure you can get in LA and extremely rude people working there. read more

Kim does fantastic men pedicure. I am so impressed as I do have a very complicated toe nails' situation (no TMI: i spare you with the details). No before and after pictures either. Anyways it was worth every Penny of that $25, which is quite reasonable for a pedicure nowadays anyways. They don't push any upsells like massages and foot rubs, and other bells and whisles that most of us men don't like anyways. But a great scrub and scrape comes with it ... AMAZING CLEANSING. I walked in without appointment on Sunday afternoon, but I am sure I just got lucky as they are busy and I recommend appointments. I ended up here by total mistake thinking I had walked into another nail salon in the next block where I had an appointment. I sat in Amy Nails for 30 minutes before realizing, Oops, I'm at the wrong nail salon! By then this nice lady was coming over to do my manicure. I told her what happened, but leaving would have been really rude, so I stayed and Tina (the nice lady) did my nails. She put so much care and detail into my manicure until I considered leaving with bare nails, no polish because my natural nails looked that perfect. She did everything on point spending well over an hour perfecting every detail. I showed her a picture of the nail color I wanted, after realizing I was looking at a picture from the other nail salon, and even though Amy's did not have the exact same glitter polish, Tina was great at finding something similar, and the end result was even better. I love my nails, can't stop staring at them. As for the nail salon, it's basic, nothing fancy or over the top. However, it's very nice and a great place to come to in the evenings because it's pleasingly quiet and relaxing. The ladies working there were pleasant and focused, and everyone seemed happy with their mani/pedis. Oh, and they have GEL COLORS GALORE, dozens and dozens of great colors to choose from, including glitters and metallics. Even though I really hated having to call the other salon and tell them why I was not at my appointment (Awkward!!!) This place rocks. You get Robertson quality without the Robertson prices. There's usually a wait on weekends if you don't make an appt but that's to be expected at any nail salon. Both Tina and Kim and everyone really are the sweetest. I never make an appt and usually don't mind waiting just because they're so nice and hospitable. Parking pretty easy in one of the metered spots. There are also a few spots in the back alley but it's a bit more cumbersome to get to. There's a bunch of other nail salons down the street but I think this is the best for reasons stated above. read more

Do not go there! The service was horrible! Robertson nails was very packed, I decided to try Amy and left very disappointed and unpleasant. Never again The technician didn't know how to take out gel, she spent 50 mins to try to take off my gel and not succeeded. She broke 2 of my nails and cut one of my fingers bleeding. It was so unprofessional and wasted my whole hour there with nothing accomplished. If your technicians are not fully trained and ready to take on clients to do the basic one color gel nails . I've been coming here for years. Affordable prices and nice people. A lot of people show up late for their appointments thus making all the upcoming appointments run late. All I have to say is be patient and don't go if you're in a rush. Don't come into this place with a sense of entitlement that I see often. Be respectful. If you expect so much and think you "deserve" whatever it is, go elsewhere. Spend more money and don't come into a cheap joint like this and expect to be treated as if you walked into the Four Seasons Hotel Spa. Check your attitude at the door. read more

I came back yesterday for just a regular polish this time--not my usual-gelish polish..haha. I really like my neutral color nails right now! It's super shiny and clean looking! :D VERY SATISFIED. Parking is just meter on the street--make sure you bring coins! The place is very simple looking--nothing fancy. But I don't care about fancy. :) Very clean. There are chairs on the side for you to wait. I usually go to their wall of polish and find my color. For gelish--they have samples for you to look at. Service is same-o. Nothing bad. Very friendly people here. I saw a little girl and her mommy at this salon and it was very cute. Mother-daughter getting their nails done together! hahaha. I treated myself to a pedicure lol I'm not really one that goes on a regulars basis to nail salons, but I've been here before with a couple of girlfriends before that loved the colors and designs they offer. Love this place!!! Ask for kim- she's the best and the sweetest!!! I love her because she's one of the only nail techs on robertson that actually knows what she's doing, and at a reasonable price- $20 and up for a fill. Her and also her sister do a very clean, neat job! My only complaint would be that after about a week or so my acrylic will lift which is a little annoying, but it could just be the acrylic that they use, or simply my own nails. If you want acrylics for a good price I definitely recommend. She's also ALWAYS booked so make sure to call in advance. read more

I've been here twice. The first time I got a pedicure, which lasted for a while, but I still havent found a place like back home in NY. I decided to get my nails done for my 22d birthday. I got a mani and pedi. $24. The guy did both; he cleaned my nails pretty well and put 3 coats on like i asked since the color was so light. The only thing I wish was that he spoke more english. You get what you pay for. It's $27 plus tip for a mani/pedi, and this is definitely a no-frills shop. I've been here three times; Amy Nails is better than not getting your nails done at all, although it's not the best place. There's usually a short wait (10-15 minutes) and the people working don't speak a ton of English. One time there was a piece of fuzz painted into my nail. I asked them to fix it and they did without fuss. That said, they're not extraordinarily detail-oriented here, so if you see something, say something. You could go to places nearby that are more expensive and get a better manicure. That said, if you're just looking for someone to do a better job than you could do at home (I suck at nails), this is a fine establishment. The pedicure especially lasts so much longer than it would if I did it myself. Contrary to other reviews, I've never had an issue with the ladies being mean or snarky. I have been coming here for at least 10 years and am always pleased with the results. Tina/Amy/Chowchow does my manicure and works with any new idiosyncrasies I may have with dry, splitting nails. Kim does my toes and threading and is always sweet and work hard to please their customers! Even before the pandemic they were always health conscious and kept the place super clean and tidy. Instead of just walking in I always call ahead of time and even check to see how they are doing, time-wise, before I get there so that I'm not sitting around. I couldn't take my eyes off of my freshly man/pedi-ed nails after leaving this nail salon! When I went in, it was a regular day. About 4-5 people where in there while I was getting my nails done. The lady that did my nails was very sociable, even though there was a bit of a language barrier. Because I've always done my nails myself, I didn't know what color combos would look good against my nails. There were a wide range of OPI and other colors. My nail artist recommended me a gorgeous natural pink-white color. I love it!! They made my feet and hands look beautiful! I'm very low-maintenance when it comes to taking care of my feet and nails. They took all those years of wear and tear on my feet and made 'em look brand new! :D haha. While giving french tips, she was very careful and detailed with each finger. I used to go at Amy nails years ago with my little one, the workers were extremely patient with her. They love kids! I came back to this salon a couple years ago when I moved back in this area. I found the same welcoming and sweet attitude. They working very hard and client is their priority. Mani-pedi is very good, last quite a long time and price is very affordable. I love this nail salon. I have been going here over 6 years for regular manicure and pedicures and the quality of work is the best. I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to my nails, I like them cut a certain length, filed perfectly even, my cuticles cut, etc.. And they do the best job here with all of that. I'm very happy with them and they also have a large selection of nail polishes to use and even to buy. Prices are very reasonable here, and if you get French tips its only $3 more. I like to call ahead sometimes before I go to be sure it's not too busy. That always helps. Ask to use the UV light to dry your nails. It's faster than the fan! read more

We ended up at Amy Nails (walk-in), where both the manicures and pedicures are quite reasonably-priced (at $11 and $13, respectively). For just five dollars more they'll add a sea salt scrub for your legs and feet, which is divine. Foot massage is ten dollars extra, so be aware when they ask you! Ahhh, but it's so easy to just say "yes." We've all been there, right, ladies? Wah wahh. Er. Wow, this turned hacky REALLY fast. ROFB at myself. (Rolling on the floor, bored.) If you're looking for a high-end, super luxury spa atmosphere ... this is not the place for you. It's very no-frills, including a talkative staff; I definitely was paranoid they were talking about me, which is something I'm working on, as it happens even when people around me are speaking English. Still, I would have no trouble making this my local mani/pedi locale for the inevitable, high-powered financial/library executive version of myself that I am carefully crafting. I got a mani/pedi ($25) yesterday. Initially, I thought they did a pretty good job. My nails came out okay. They seemed to be meticulous with cutting my cuticles. However, I should have known that something was wrong when the lady doing my pedi kept asking if my foot was okay. A few hours pass and BAM! My big toe is hurting. She cut the side of my nail at an angle and now I feel an ingrown toenail coming! My poor big toe is starting to get red and swollen. I'm not mad though. It was just a mistake. They seemed to be nice. I just don't know if I'll return because there was nothing outstanding about the place. The place wasn't the cleanest I've seen. I've been to Nature's Nail down the street.
