How have I never reviewed 7 Leaves before? I think I've been a loyal customer since I was in elementary school haha. It's just always a reliable place to go if you're craving a simple milk tea and want fast service. A lot of the times I visit, they're done making my drink before I've even finishing paying! I now mainly use the 7 Leaves app, which is even faster and great because I get points. The assam milk tea here has seen every high and low of mine over the last ten years. Sometimes I venture out and get the taro or jasmine milk tea, and the secret menu black & tan (jasmine milk tea+vietnamese coffee) is also really good. This 7Leaves location is pretty small and doesn't have seating inside, but it's good as a to go spot. We always order on the app for pickup and the drinks are done really fast. They have a section in the store for pickup drinks and they're set down alphabetically. We got our go to drinks: the house coffee and the green thai tea. I'm only sharing this feedback in hopes that this location revisits its customer service. We stopped by around 10:00pm, knowing the store closes at 11:00pm based on the posted hours. As we drove into the plaza, the illuminated 7 Leaves sign was off, and because the windows are heavily tinted, the store looked closed. We actually checked the hours online two or three times before deciding to walk in. After placing our order, I politely mentioned that the sign being off made it seem like the store was closed. The employee immediately responded, "We're all not from here." At first, I wasn't even sure what she meant. After a brief pause, I realized she was saying the entire shift was covering from another location. I wasn't expecting them to fix it on the spot. A simple, "Thanks for letting us know - we'll look into it," would have been more than enough. Instead, she turned to her coworker, said, "Oh, the lights are off," and the coworker just shrugged. Hopefully this is something management can address. Small interactions like these can make a big difference in the overall customer experience. read more

I got the black and tan and ordered on the app. On the app there is no option for easy sweet so I went in store and they said they can do that for me. The drink still came out more sweet that I usually like, but it was still tasty. I also got boba which probably also contributed to the sweetness. You can never go wrong with 7 Leaves! Their drinks are as consistent as they come. This location on Jeffrey is in a pretty busy plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, this one has no seating so it definitely is more of a grab and go spot. You can place orders online and grab it at the pick up shelf they have or order inside with a staff member. For this review's boba run, I got a spread of the Assam Milk Tea, Oolong Milk Tea, Mung Bean Milk Tea, and the Tea Rex! I would definitely recommend checking out some of their secret menu items! All of the staff here are very friendly and efficient. After I ordered, my drinks came out in less than 10 minutes. read more

This review focuses on the false advertisement versus the product itself. Yesterday and today, the store promoted a special offering for their new Masala Chai. My friend went yesterday and raved about it, so another friend called the store this morning to confirm if the free Masala Chai deal was still valid, as their social media didn't show the offer for the second day. They were told, "Yes! They sure are free today!" I arrived around 7:55 AM to take advantage of the offer, only to be told in-store that I needed to order another item to get the free drink. This was completely different from what I was told on the phone earlier. I left, feeling confused and disappointed. Later, my friend's father went to the same location and ordered the Masala Chai. When he asked why he was being charged, he was informed that the drink was, in fact, free without requiring a purchase. Now, I have to ask--was I racially profiled? I'm Pakistani, and despite the earlier confirmation of the free drink, I was told I needed to buy something else. Yet, an older Asian man who arrived later in the same day received the drink for free. It feels like there may be some sort of selection going on, based on ethnicity. This kind of treatment is deeply troubling and suggests that the store may be making decisions about who gets the offer based on their appearance or background. We placed an order for 2 Thai drinks online. They got them out quick and the correct drinks. Normally I'm not picky I'll still eat my food it doesn't taste good. However this time around I couldn't finish my drink. I ordered less sweetened and my drink was so sweet. It's like I was drinking a cup of sugar with light tea no joke. It was overwhelmingly sweet. What made it worse was the boba for my wife and I was hard and seemed to be uncooked (I'm not sure of how boba is processed forgive my ignorance). It wasn't chewy but just very firm. My mom and husband like the Mung Bean Milk Tea, although it definitely needs to be easy sweet. My friends love the coffee drinks, especially the House Coffee and its seasonal variations. Drinks tend to be consistent in flavor between locations, but all drinks can verge on too sweet. Ambiance: 0.5/1. This location is definitely more of a grab-and-go place. No seating inside. There is an open refrigerator to the right of the entrance that is designed for mobile order pickup, as well as a single bathroom in the back right corner. Service: 1/1. Parking is tough as there are so many other restaurants here and parking is very very limited. Also the inside of the store is tiny so if there's a line everyone's cramped in here like sardines waiting to order or waiting for their drink. We went to another 7 leaves near by a few weeks ago and had a negative experience, and thought we would give this location a try. But we wish we had not. We ordered a matcha tea with extra sweet, and the drink tasted bland like oatmilk with with no green tea taste or sweetening at all. And the other drink we got, jasmine green tea with boba, was not jasmine green tea flsvor and tasted flat, bland, mixed with other nasty flavors, and half the large bottle was filled with ice. I found this place when I was going through the busy parking lot looking for somewhere to get coffee and at the very end before the last exit was 7 Leaves Cafe. I believe I parked illegally in front of the cafe but everyone else was doing it and I knew I wouldn't be there long. I ordered the hot Vietnamese coffee and it was SO good! Perfect amount of sweetness and strong coffee and customer service was great. They had many to go orders, some with 12-25 drinks at a time but my coffee was done in no time. Their milk and sweetness balance is just right and the boba is always warm and fresh which is how I like it. I have been to other 7 Leaves shops with employees that were uninviting to say the least. Unlike those stores, the workers welcomed me with bright smiles. I was assisted in finding the drink I wanted as well as navigating the "secret menu". Although it was close to closing, my drink tasted amazing and was made in rapid time. Since it was close to closing, it was empty, but that didn't change the warm atmosphere I felt entering and leaving. Although it was very fragrant, I personally prefer the normal thai tea with a nuttier flavor. The fragrance was a little overpowering for me. Once you order at this location, they make the drink really quickly, and there is also parking right in front of the store, so it's easy to grab a drink and dip. It makes me sad to rate 7Leaves anything less than 5 stars because I love 7Leaves and this was my go-to location during my college days. The reason I'm disappointed is they list their hours as open until 11pm on Yelp and Google when they actually aren't. They supposedly close their kitchen and store at 10:30, so if you arrive at 10:30 or after then you won't be able to order. I've been twice around 10:30 only to show up to a locked store. If you're not actually going to be open until 11 then change your hours online to not confuse customers? My friends and I went out of our way both times and have also seen other customers leave disappointed like us. read more
