I went to buy gas and,unfortunately, did not try to jiggle the credit card slot until after I pumped. I try to jighle it to see if it has been tampered with. The door swung open! The tamper proof tape is cut or torn. I told the personnel and the manager came out looked and walked away to get the key to lock it. I asked why didn't she even look inside? She just shrugged and walked away. Another shopper said that all the tamper tape is damaged or missing. The lackadaisical attitude and condition of the pumps has caused me to never shop here again. 7-11 is a focused business. They are small; they sell certain items and they do a volume business. Because they are a convenience store they are not supposed to have the biggest selection or best price. But that's OK because shopping at stores like 7-11 when we need something quickly and it's too difficult to go to the grocery store or whatever other place we normally shop location because we need it now. The 7-Eleven is not any better or any worse than any others so generally what you expect to find you will find here. You there take care of what you are going to go on your way. I went in to buy scratchers and he got so upset because he gave me the wrong scratcher after I had pointed and told him which one I wanted he started looking at me all mad and kept trying to tell me things(couldn't really understand his English it was horrible). Read this review first... I really wish i hadn't wasted all my one star reviews because this review deserves to be way under any other review I have ever done. Even the taco place in Cypress that stole my atm info was better. If i could give negative five stars i would. So I've been going to this 7-Eleven for about 6 years now and for most of that time it was pretty good. Yea there was the occasional bum out front but it's Santa Ana, what do you expect. I even got to know the cashiers by name. Dennis and Julie were the nicest people and I always went here to get my smokes and what not. Anyhow, it appears that they had a change of ownership recently and the place has taken a turn for the worse. Everyone of the new staff is surly and does not talk to you and is downright rude. First let me tell you what happened to my wife... She went in one day and there as a girl there who was stocking the e-cigarette section. She was obviously a vendor for the new brand and she offered my wife a coupon to get a pretty big discount on the smokes. My wife literally took the coupon from the girl and turned around to buy the e-cigarettes right there. They charged her full price and when she asked about the coupon the cashier flipped it over and said, "No this is for copenhagen" (chewing tobacco or some shit). then she flipped it over and said, "no this is for the e-cigs, i just got the coupon from that lady over there". The cashier then shoed her over to another register where another guy asked for her card and that is when my wife started to ask whether or not the first transaction would be voided. They refused to give her and answer and rang it up again (also too high of a price) at which point my wife insisted that she get the discount as it was stated on the coupon. They then rang up some random price which was obviously way too low (like $2 or something) and she paid it and left. They never once offered to explain what they had done or apologize for trying to over charge her. unfortunately i was not there to witness this or i would have said something.. My next encounter was in buying smokes and a Slim-Jim. It was just a normal transaction except the guy said "I give you this for free" referring to the Slim-Jim. First, I didn't ask for anything for free, but whatever i paid and left. This time I got a receipt and after looking at it realized not only did they not give me anything for free but they also did not give me the two pack cigarette discount that is advertised which i had been getting for literally years now. My most recent transaction was much the same. Bought two packs of smokes and they didn't give me the two pack discount or offer me a receipt. Now i would normally chock this up to incompetence and be on my way but this goes way beyond. The clerks are simply rude assholes. I ask for camel platinums and not only can he not find the platinums (which happens at a lot of stores) he cant even find the camels.. or for that matter he can't determine the difference between cigarettes and chewing tobacco. And he cant take direction (such as "in the middle, or to the right, no down down, up down.... FUCK YOU!) It's my opinion that they are purposely doing this because they hate their jobs and or they hate americans. not sure which, probably some of both. There are hundreds of 7-Elevens on the Southland, so this review is based on options and conveniences that this store compared to other similar branches I have visited do not offer, or they are lackluster. First, one of the largest, most stocked, open 24 hours 7-Eleven with an extremely accessible gas station (easy to access from almost any direction/street) that offers a last chance for food, fuel, groceries, and ATM access (among others), for working/busy commuters accessing the 55 North/South, 5 South, and 22 West freeways. ...Or the first spot to refuel and/or restock for the 55 N/S and 5 North drivers getting off on 4th and 17th streets before heading home. * The Good: Convenient. Well stocked. Good variety for a 7-11 branch. Clean, the food is rotated on time (I check religiously since a horrible incident at a T&A in the California Grapevine). Don't normally comment on clerk interaction (with one/two exceptions, and due to the high turnout rate), but no duds since I been frequenting the place from opening day. The outside area is well lit for security, and CHP units are a common sight due to being the first/last stop on their shifts. Gas but not 7-Eleven drink or foods?. The cashiers inside are either mute or just not friendly. I've been helped by a few people there and it's been the same across the board. They're also a bit slow there too. One last quick tip...this place seems to be riddled with homeless people that always look strung out or half wasted. He wouldn't even egg knowledge what I was saying when I asked about lotto I guess it was after a certain time and had closed. But instead of telling me this he would just ignore my question every time I asked about that lotto. I have reported this station to the state. Bought 10 gallons of gasoline to fill my van at 9pm last night. I went inside and asked the clerk, Avtar, to turn the air on. He refused. Insisted I had to pay the $1.50 for air, even after spending $30+ on gasoline. This is against the law in California, and this is the 1st time that this has ever happened to me since the law went into effect. Either Avtar needs more training or this station has shady practices and needs to be fined. read more

I go here often, and will continue to, mostly since I drive by almost every day and it has a ATM that is no charge for credit union users. I have seen cleaner stores but I have also seen a lot worse. Wow what a seven eleven! I've been here numerous times 7days a week, morning, day and night .This place has good lighting & is nice well kept during the day. Location is good and is well visible, they have a gas station which is a plus, convenient by the 55 fwy. CHP is always in the area. . Morning staff are OK they are on the ball, The afternoon shift including evening is OK. Now the night people on monday. - sunday are goof offs nothing much to do just plain bored, rude, with innapropriate behavior. During the nights I visited this location the place inside is not clean including the restroom and not stocked with supplies, not good for production. This area at night has some weird people loitering and panhandlers, "wigged out" shady characters. The best part about this store at night employees never pay attention, they give you back the wrong change either more or less, I once gave them 10$ payed for 2 items of small value that was worth 7$ then the cashier who helped me, actually helped me more by giving me 13$ in change which is awesome!! thank heaven for this dumb seven eleven! couple of times during my visits had other customers complain about the wrong change or they want to speak with a manager. ohhh by the way the night guys don't even card younger adults like 18-20 yrs.when purchasing alcohol. Today at approximately 1:40 AM my husband and I came to purchase some items which we actually purchase on the regular an average five days out of seven days within the week. I am a regular at many 7-Eleven's locations with in orange county I even have downloaded the 7-Eleven app because I am a big supporter of the many franchise and corporate locations. Today my husband came inside to purchase some tobacco products in addition to a couple of snacks which I had requested. the body language that I saw because we were parked right in front of the business and I was in the car I could see that the attendant or cashier upset my husband. My husband and I both come from a customer service background over 14 yrs and are both managers for restaurants in both Los Angeles and Orange counties; once he explained to me what had happened from seeing things without sound that everything he told me that had happened in regards to the dialogue was completely unacceptable. My husband is African-American and the person who he had the inappropriate encounter with was a younger middle eastern man it was not the gentleman who has the hairy ears who is older sorry to describe him this way however this is the way that I could tell the difference between the two because like I said I come in all the time. So apparently what was said was my husband went to purchase the tobacco items then he had requested such items then wentback into the aisle to look at some snacks. Being that it is almost 2 o'clock in the morning and we are both very tired from work he was a little bit indecisive so it was taking him a moment to decide what he wanted to purchase however he was inquiring in regards to purchasing more than five dollars worth of items which we purchasenat least an average of five-20 dollars worth of items every single day since we moved here in March. My husband was explaining the younger gentleman made a very rude comment apparently and stated that my husband needed to hurry up because he was doing other work in the back and made my husband feel very uncomfortable therefore he decided to no longer Purchase snacks and only purchase the tobacco products. This is not the first time that this type of thing has happened with this employee. I say this because we had tried to return a charger with receipt however my husband was declined and I had to go back and receive the exchange which my husband was also entitled to. I am middle eastern myself and it is truly disappointing to see that both my husband and I have continuously had two different experiences because this guy is actually ALWAYS FRIENDLY and having a smile with me. this is all of our community and we have all need to leave hatred behind us and treat every person including an employed, educated, African American man who was just trying to buy snacks for his wife and daughter. This is a convenience store and negativity isn't convenient! EVERY CUSTOMER HAS THE RIGHT TO THE SAME EXPERIENCE!.....now coming from somebody who understands the importance of guest service and return clientele I definitely can say that unless the owner(s) contact me or somebody in management contacts me or tells me that the situation will be handled and this employee will be talked to and coached in regards to displaying a more hospitable experience. The company should not fire this employee but teach them the importance of this situation. If this does not happen, 7-Eleven will not only lose my business but I will also share this experience which could also hurt the business I feel like every person is entitled to respect and if somebody is a cashier they need to be able to attend to any customers needs and not make the customer feel unwanted, unwelcome, discriminated against or feel that there purchase does not matter! read more
