My grandparents and I were the furthest thing from that, yet we were treated close to scum because of our irritations surrounding THEIR inability to do their job and maintain a clean restaurant. After paying and even being generous enough to still tip, we were very sarcastically told to have a good day, and as the door began closing behind us, the childish Kendall worker thought it was necessary to announce "it's people like that!" People like what? People who like to eat without touching other people's mess that you were too lazy to clean up? It was absolutely unnecessary and it's a sad reminder than even young women can be hateful and nasty with no reason to be. Even if their paycheck depends on it! Absurdity. The atmosphere and food in 61 Main was out of this world and only slightly surpassed by Jessica B. our server who was outstanding... My better half had the garden salad with blue cheese dressing and an entree of the Flounder an olive oil poached filet, preserved lemon, edamame "salsa", napa & Carolina gold rice. I had an appetizer of the Lamb Meatballs which were hand-crafted and topped with a chili jam on toast. Then on to the salad which was the most delicate caesar salad I have ever had.. Entree was the lamb shank which was a special on the night which just fell off the bone and melted in the mouth... Jenna and Tadd Schreiber who are the owners. 61 Main has become my wife and I's favorite place for dinner, lunch or brunch. Every chance we get to have an evening out - this place is top of the list. The Monday night supper is also an outstanding value - we certainly enjoy a Friday night dinner, but we've yet to find a restaurant with the quality of food and service that we can eat at for less than 50 bucks for a fine meal including drinks and dessert. Lunch at 61 Main is equally great - get the sweet potato fries or the chicken Caesar salad. Great stuff. Also, ask for Casey. He's the best! read more

There was more than a sufficiency of mussels, but there was ONE scallop on my plate and no sign of any shrimp. I should have said something, but didn't. read more
