For NYC, there are a ton of places that make their desserts by hand or are freshly made, but here it feels like you're getting something frozen or pre-packaged. We came here specifically to get their green tea crepe cake, which they surprisingly raised the price to $10.25 from their menu price of $8.25. The waitress went to the back to find out that they don't have any more. I was very upset since it was a trek to get there in the first place. Since we were already there, we were debating between getting a tong sui or shaved ice. We ended up getting the shaved ice because the tong sui didn't look freshly made. We ordered the Oreo shaved ice and I was immediately confused when the shaved ice was not flavored. It was plain ice with a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top with Oreos, strawberries, marshmallows and cocoa Krispoes. The thing is-it was pretty good because it had a ton of texture, but it wasn't what I was expecting when I ordered it. I really thought that I was getting Oreo flavored ice. I saw this place on TikTok and decided to give it a try after seeing how it looked. Sadly, as with most places I see on TikTok I end up underwhelmed when I go in person. We ordered the dessert "hotpot" and chose our toppings but sadly they were out of many of our initial choices. Similarly, they didn't have cheese foam for the coffee. When the dessert pot came out it looked cool at first with the dry ice but it was mainly just some ice with the toppings, including a small tray with just some crushed Oreos that we weren't sure what to do with. The prices were quite steep, the cashier disappeared for quite a while when we were waiting to get our check but eventually came back and took my card and also disappeared for a while again. They charged us for the cheese foam even though it was unavailable but we didn't feel like waiting longer to get it resolved so we just left. Came here for dessert which was alright. When I came with a group of friends it was a bit packed and we had to wait because a table was leaving. When we were seated we were greeted with menus and our server came so quick to take our order, which were weren't ready. Then our server never came back to see if we were ready and we had to call for his attention. My friends ordered mango desserts which were pretty good. About the same as mango mango. We also go the Pur'ea Tea with cheese foam, which was supposed to be sweet but it wasn't sweet. The cheese foam was good, and I felt like they left the tea to steep for too long. First off, its expensive, but i think its meant for sharing so i guess that makes up for it. The concept is cool in a sense that way. The egg waffle itself is $5, say what???? It was not worth $5, had it ordered it alone i would be dissapointed. It was NOT even warm, did not taste like it was fresh off the griddle, it was a tad too hard, and not soft inside. If youre into the hard shell and hallow inside texture, then this is for you, but it didnt go well with the ice cream or fruit. $2 a scoop for icecream?? The 50cents add ons were the most reasonable. This place is really nice and cozy. I like the atmosphere. But then again it's like any other dessert place (e.g. Mango Mango, Kulu Desserts, etc). They offer a variety of choices, from fruits to ice cream. I liked how you could create and customize your own tang sui. I chose to have a coconut base, with sago, strawberries and honeydew, and vanilla ice cream. There is free WiFi available. The servers were really nice and helpful as well. Be advised though that outside drinks are not allowed. My sister and I walked in drinking Coco's bubble tea because the weather outside was simply unbearable. They let you keep the drinks at the table, just don't drink from them. They don't want other customers doing the same, which is pretty reasonable in my opinion. This place is related to the old indessert in chinatown which was one of my favorite spots to get hong kong style desserts. I'm so glad they reopened in Flushing but it does seem like its going on a more tweaked menu and a higher price point. And more recently im just a grab and go person which makes their bubble waffle desserts a perfect portable treat for me. Although they only have 1 flavor for their waffle they do have a lot of fresh toppings you can add to it like assorted fresh fruits. The waffles are especially good with ice cream on top. So far I've had it with gren tea ice cream and mango. All toppings are extra though so it can add up. Don't get the biscoff if you don't like crumbles they told me it was a wafer cookie. What I really like is the mango chang fen which is a like a very thin translucent rice flour crepe with chunky mango pieces inside topped with coconut milk and mango popping bubble. Im already a fan of regular savory cherng fun but I have never had a dessert style one before. I would definitely order three servings of these if it wasn't so expensive. Maybe Its because I like anything mango and the coconut milk makes a nice sauce. The restaurant itself is also very nice and has round booths and tables to gather with buddies for dessert. It's inside an unfinished mall at the far corner of flushing but still very populated at night. They do have a lot of other choices like dessert soups, shaved ice, savory waffles with bacon and cheese or hot dogs and an impressive looking melon dessert that comes with a melona bar. We asked the server for water in the beginning and was not given any till maybe 1 hour later when we had to ask again and had already finished most of our desserts. It was not very busy as we were there at 11pm. The Honey toast we order was told that it would take 30 minutes to be ready and so we were fine with that since we were gonna stay for a while to avoid the rain. Omgawd did that 30 min turn into a 1+ hour wait just for a big block of burnt toast! Honestly all the toppings they put in the toast was nothing special and I can't believe it had to take that long. The lava cake was just cake, no lava at all. The mango desserts had quite a lot of chunks of raw mango in there which made the taste very unpleasant and sour. It was delicious!! For $29, you get a base to choose between - mango purée/coconut milk/HK milk tea. We decided on the coconut milk and it perfectly blended everything together with the shaved ice and the 6 toppings that we picked. We decided on honeydew, lychee, mango, brown sugar boba, grass jelly, and yam mochi with two sides of brownie and gummy bears. It was an amazing combination and was absolutely delicious! We finished everything and was completely satisfied with the yummy dessert. Even after a big dinner, we were suddenly hungry again after seeing the beautiful presentation. The waitress pours something to activate the dry ice and begin the smoke show and she was even kind enough to ask when we were ready to take a video and she could begin on our cue. The Dessert here is delicious. The store is easy to find. Staff were nice and kind. Instagram worthy place. This place also offers UberEats if ur curious by chance. The shop itself is very small. It is a nice place to sit down to talk and relax with ur friends. The ambience is perfect for conversation with ur friends but not perfect for business conversations! Beware though if you are eating with more than 2-4 people you and your group of friends might have to wait to be able to sit together. The prices on the menu though is overpriced so you should expect to spend at least more than $6~ on a piece of dessert there!
