It can get very busy at night so be aware but other times of the day are not bad. I got the egg waffle which is high customizable. I got the regular waffle flavor. Strawberry ice cream which was very good. A lot of strawberry ice cream tastes too sweet to give "flavor" but this one was very good and thick. There are many sides to put on it but I went with blueberry and kiwi. Then for the drizzle I recommend condensed milk. The perfect way to top off a dessert. Another bubble tea shop in Flushing. Without doubt Flushing is one most of popular area to get bubble tea drink regardless of fruit tea or milk tea. This tea shop is hidden in less noticeable street and in front of a bar called zebra lounge. There were couple of tables which is a great place to sit down and socialize with friend. This shop like most other bubble tea shops originated from Taiwan. The drinks price might be more expensive than others but I think it is worth it. They used real fruit and freshly brew tea. This new tea place recently opened and their started their trial run last week. They are located in the front of Zebra lounge, where a ramen shop used to be. IfCha, they use Taiwanese mountain teas, and is said to be very refreshing. ( Please see pictorial map posted on their wall or the pic I took) Their credit card machine hasn't arrived yet, but I was told there will be no minimum for charges. There's currently no delivery service but they will be participating that with app services down the line. Interior: There's four wooden tables here, that seats 4 people per table and have a decent waiting bench area. Packaging: Their bag separates the drinks and keeps them up right, pretty considerate. They use these nice plastic cups. Promotional offers: There's a grand opening special of 20% off of everything. And there's a cash coupon raffle up to $10s if you post their most recent post on WeChat app into your moments. You get to pick your own coupon out of this box of coupons, that was fun. Specialty: Their cold brew tea that takes 6 hours to brew and it comes with their graphic bottle. (Limited quantity sold per day, due to the amount made prior to be stored in fridge.) Saw this super cute dessert place and thought we might check it out after a meal of heavy Chinese BBQ. Hit the spot. We got the custom waffles which were amazing. The waffles had just the right amount of crisp to soft ratio on the outside and inside. Paired super well with a generous dollop of their green tea ice cream. We also went a little adventurous and got their durian "hot" pot which was basically shaved ice with fresh durian sliced over the top. The presentation added a nice touch. I had come for their Honeydew Shaved Ice and was satisfied with the cold balls of of honeydew and the Melona ice cream bar stuck in. However, my party and I had a pretty bad time here with the dessert and the service. It was a Saturday night so fairly busy, but we were seated fairly fast which was surprising. We spent a bit of time marveling at the decorations and how bright the place was, before we realized we never got our menus. It took us a while to flag anyone down for a menu and even longer to put our orders in. We ordered their Rainbow crepe cake (4/5), which was really pretty and a great opportunity for a good photo. Taste was pretty average and not as soft as the crepe cakes everywhere else but still not too bad. We also got the Chocolate lava cake (3/5), it was really small for the price tag and there really was no lava in this lava cake lol. It was also very dense like a brownie and hard to stomach. Lastly, we got their taro sago, but it came out at the very end, after all of our first two items came out, we had to ask them twice for the progress, the first time we were pretty much ignored and the second time they mentioned that it was finished earlier and they forgot. They also served all of our food and didn't hand us any tools to eat it with and took us just as long to flag someone down before we could start eating. I understand it was busy so maybe we'll try again when it isn't so busy, but we noticed two employees on their phones at the counter so we aren't sure what was going on there. This place is a bit hard to find if you're not familiar with the area - it's basically in a building which kind of looks like a super tiny one floor mall. The first time I went I got the waffle cone with ice cream and pocky and oreos and it was served HOT and fresh. I personally suggest sharing it with someone because you get pretty full and used to the flavor half way through. My friend got this mango puree thing (can't remember the name) but it was DELICIOUS as well. The second time I came here with my family, we got a coconut milk thing for my dad, waffle cone thing for myself AGAIN and the honey bread dessert. It's a baked to order dessert so it takes 30 minutes. Now, I had super high expectations for this bread dish but it didn't meet them. I was thinking this would be similar to condensed sweet bread dessert at Spot but it's not. It's literally a box of crispy toast with honey on it, and fruits and little sweet snacks in it. It's seriously overpriced and has a real restaurant set up with excellent decor and servers, so you will be wanting to tip and all that stuff. But it's still really wonderful. So the expensive but magical melon dish, the one from the pix which you have all been asking about, has half a honeydew melon hollowed out and filled with melon balls, and a honeydew popsicle shoved in there exactly the way you shoved it in that girl that one time which led to that really awkward trip to the clinic that you still regret to this day. But anyway. The girl who served me was one of the nicest servers I've ever had in New York City. I watched the movie "You Got Served" right after I left, and I was thinking to myself... yes, I did. By someone really lovely! She got a huge tip, accordingly. And not in the way you think. Tsk tsk. I'm getting really tired of this recent trend of Chinese dessert cafes opening up and having really nice decor with Supreme or other brand furniture and then serving up low quality food. 520 Cafe definitely falls in this category. The decor inside is nice and beautiful but the sweets are just not worth it. Our party ordered a match latte, Hong Kong hot tea, and the Strawberry Fairy shaved ice. As soon as we were served the drinks we could already tell it was like 80% milk. After tasting it everyone agreed that it'd be more correct to say they ordered flavored hot milk. The shaved ice was JUST decent. Nothing really special about it. 1 thing that really bothered me though was that the ice ended up solidifying into a giant chunk and we had to ice pick the chunk into manageable pieces. I think in other places they use a frozen milk/water mixture instead of just ice It's just not worth the visit to come back.
