Had laminate installed 3 years ago and had no issues with initial sales rep or installers, they were fine. I bought a more expensive laminate which I was advised was literally waterproof and long lasting. I now find a lot of edges are warping up and a couple interlocking boards are literally splitting. I called customer service and was told the installer warranty is only a year, which I am not disputing, but I advised this would be a laminate manufacturing defect with the product itself which should be covered under warranty. I was advised to send pictures, which I did, and after 2 weeks I finally got a callback asking if I had any boards leftover from the original install which I advised I still have 5 boards in storage. I thought they were getting around to doing something but now a week later, nothing.. I am hoping this will not drag out but the service after the sale is not good here. I am on a fixed income and a new floor replacement is not an option at this time. The reason for a 3 star rating is I am mixed on whether 50 floor will make this right or try and wash their hands of the whole thing. I am hoping they make this right. We will see read more

Worst customer service and follow up ever! Started at installation. They actually started within an hour of promised time, but took a lunch break at 1 and no one came back until almost 4. I called multiple times as I couldn't even go between floors of my house. Finally showed up with wrong color stain and caulk. Accepted stain as it was close. After they left and I could get on stairs found 3 problems. Called next day and after talking to 3 different people who never returned voicemail messages got an inspector scheduled out. He agreed and had scheduler call me for next appt. It was scheduled for 12/28 between 12-4. No show. No call. I called and "they are on way". Never showed. Called to reschedule. Scheduled next appt for 3/10 as I was going out of town. Appt 8-12. NO SHOW! I called multiple times, multiple people and was finally told it had been scheduled for 12-4 after just that morning they had confirmed 8-12. Left message 3 times for manager to call me back..NO CALL. Got a call from woman who barely spoke English trying to tell me when they would be there. I think she said between 130 and 3...we shall see! I would like to add a shout out to a special "Manager"...Darrell...over the period of this installation I left a minimum of 5 voicemails to him asking him to call me....I DID NOT RECIEVE ONE CALL BACK FROM HIM! read more

In June of this year, my husband and I had flooring installed by 50Floor. The contractor for 50Floor did not inform us that our flooring under the carpet needed to be leveled/adjusted before installing our luxury vinyl flooring. Which caused it to have hills and valleys underneath the new flooring. After speaking with upper management about it, they had someone come out to inspect it. After a long consultation with my lifestyle and 3 dogs that come and go through a dog door. It was suggested to use this product- promenade vinyl flooring. It's very nice looking and should stand up to my dogs. The installers were a lovely bunch of men. Very polite, tidy and very respectful. They even tolerated my dogs :) The house was put back together after their job was done and was even vacuumed. They removed all evidence of previous flooring from the house and back yard. Total installation of 500sq took 1/2 a day. I was very impressed. Thanks again. read more

We have used 50 floor in our previous home for laminate and in our current home for carpet and Hardwood. DO NOT USE THEM FOR HARDWOOD. They delivered the incorrect size for our project, but when they noticed immediately went to the warehouse to get the correct size and installed it without letting it acclimate. A few years later we notices that it is starting to bow. We have spent over a year trying to get someone to look at it and have still not seen anyone. They told us that we would need to file a claim with Mohawk, but it was an install issue so they will not cover it. Their warranty is absolute crap and you need to go with a reputable small business owner instead. We emailed some photos including the one attached in this review and they said they could not see the warping. Judge for yourself. Now they are telling us that we have to pay for the repairs when their faulty installation was the cause. It's not right. read more

Installers cut the alarm wire when installing hard wood floors. I had to call ADT to have wire repaired, instead of refunding the cost of repairs back to me, they wanted to send payment to the finance company(wells fargo) to reduce the financing instead of paying me back for the repairs and the inconvenience of Not arming my home alarm for 7 days, and having to take off work to wait for ADT. To add insult, the customer service Rep. got upset when i told them that the repair payment should come to me, not Wells Fargo. They dont own my house nor did they pay for the repairs. read more

50 Floors came to install (I thought) was durable carpet. I explained that I needed carpet for HIGH traffic areas. It looked AMAZING for about 4-6 months. Then I noticed there were areas where the carpet needed to be stretched in 3 places. Eitghin 10 months the stairs began to show wear. We try not to wear shoes upstairs where there is carpet. ALL of the high traffic areas look like Crap. There are 4 more places where the carpet needs to be stretched. SO DISAPPOINTED. read more

This is our third time using 50 Floors within an 8 year span. First for laminate 8 years ago and then for carpet 6 years ago. I scheduled this free in-home estimate online. Charles was prompt and came in wearing a mask. He was professional, but a little quiet. He mostly answered questions but didn't offer a lot of information. At times, I felt like he was just sitting there waiting. Since we were repeat customers, he did call to find an additional discount for us. We ordered on Wednesday and I received a call for installation on Thursday. Keyla and her crew arrived Saturday morning around 11a.m. and by 4p.m, the old carpet was removed from 3 rooms and the laminate had been installed. Keyla and her crew was very prompt, courteous and respectful of our property and came wearing a mask. They seemed to keep the mask on the entire install as I waited on a different level while they worked. My family and I wore mask as well if we were ever on the same level in the house. Keyla had me inspect the product before they started the installation to verify it is what we ordered and brought a piece in to put on the floor to verify as I was trying to match the laminate that was in the hall 8 years ago. It was not a perfect match, but was close. She even asked if I wanted it installed going in the same direction as the laminate in the hall, which I had no idea made a difference, but it does. The 26 year old carpet was removed and taken away, the floors and work area was cleaned and furniture put back pretty much to where it was found. We did a final walk through and was given final instructions, all questions were answered and a business card was left so that if any issues were found in the next few days, I could go directly back to the installer. As stated earlier in this review, this is my third time using 50 Floors. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely recommend using Keyla and her crew again for any future needs. read more

Our experience has been disappointing from start to finish. 1. Estimate appointment: a. Our sales rep, Jared, had informed us that our first floor could definitely be resanded and restained to a lighter color, so we agreed to have that service done. He also gave us an estimate for hardwood installation for our second floor. Even with the 60% off promotion, the total for that floor installation was a whopping 20K. We decided not to go forward with that service just yet. b. While we were finishing up our paperwork Jared was growing impatient towards the end of the process because he was running late for his next appointment (and stated he would most likely be unable to get to his other appointments after that). c. My husband was reading the documents before he signed (sorry, we like to know what we are signing first) and it was clearly getting on Jared's nerves. The process involved calling in to create an account and Jared messed up during his first call and had to hang up. He said a few curse words under his breath. d. One of the documents we signed involved signing up for a credit card which we didn't realize we'd be signing up for (my husband caught this while he was reading through the documents btw) in order to pay for the service monthly. Our sales rep failed to inform us about this. Unless you can pay for it all up front, you basically have to open up another credit card which we like to avoid. 2. Day of installation: a. 2-3 weeks pass and at this point, we have already put in a deposit for the day of installation. We had also moved ALL OF OUR FURNITURE from the first floor the weekend prior. b. The professional wood installers came in and looked at the floor and almost immediately said that they could NOT sand the floors! They stated that based on the hand carving of the wood floors and the bevels of each wood, it would be impossible to sand all crevices. In addition, he stated that due to the dark color of the wood (mahogany) the floor would remain dark. c. We're clearly disappointed and frustrated by this wasteful process at this point. d. We don't hear back from anyone at 50Floor so we initiate the call and call our sales rep. After a second attempt, my husband gets Jared on the phone. My husband tells him our address and the situation that occurred earlier that day. Jared rattles off information about a discount for a different account that's not ours. He does not even remember who we are! He can't look up our address in their system while he's on the phone or ask us to wait while he pulls up our information? My husband had to remind him several times who we were because he couldn't remember. Jared stated he would have the deposit refunded. It's been a week at this point and we still have not gotten our refund. I had hopes of having a pleasant experience with 50Floor due to their reputation but I will probably think again before I reach out to them for future services. read more

This company did not complete installation, lied and said they would be back out the next day to install floor transitions, and no one showed up. Now a month later, transitions are still not installed, causing damage to flooring in that area. The planks have shifted, have chipped, are damaged, and are a safety hazard as a result. I called and spoke with customer service, filed a complaint, and they transferred me to two contacts on separate occasions. The first was Andy, I spoke with her once or twice and she said installers would call me to come back out. After they didn't, she stopped answering my calls and did not respond to voicemails. I called customer service again. They sent installers out and a supervisor, and each time, they just take pictures of flooring and worsening damage, saying I would hear something within a day or two. No follow ups. I had to initiate all calls. Customer service had Judith as my contact person the second time. She was good at responding to my calls at first, all pleasant calls, but later just stopped returning calls and voicemails. No additional installation has taken place, just empty promises of follow ups. GM was supposed to call me, however, he has not and is not answering my calls. I wish I would have went with another company like Empire or a local company because this run around is frustrating and unprofessional. I wish I could give 0 stars. And I see where the company responded on Google, saying I last spoke with someone on 6/2 and this will be forwarded to their team. Yes, I called Judith for an update that day, again me initiating the call, only for her to tell me that they could send a sales rep to give me a price quote on fixing the foyer, the area that is damaged because of the chain reaction caused by them not installing the thresholds in the first place, which are still not installed. I was not happy with that solution of me paying for the damage they caused. She said a GM would call me in an hour. No call from GM the whole day. I called GM, he did not answer. Judith called back saying GM had a family emergency and he would call me the following morning. Next day, no call from GM and no answer when I tried to call him. I called Judith for the last time on 6/3 and she did not answer either. So again, still the run around with this company. Update: I see where 50 Floor responded on Yelp, saying I spoke with someone on 6/4/2021. This is untrue. I did not speak with anyone on 6/4/2021. My review above is still true and accurate, I am getting the run around from this company. It would be nice if the person responding to these reviews so quickly would actually call or email me for a resolution. I requested hardwood floors to be installed in my master bedroom and hallway not pre engineered hardwood floors. The really sad and hurtful thing was the salesman was a black man selling to a black woman. I orginally requested hardwood floors and he right off the top tried to sell engineered flooring and gave me a price as if it was what I requested and then turns around and says, "for $300 more you can get real hardwood floors", and I said ok, not really thinking I orginally asked for hardwood floors. They damaged landscaping, left morter all over porch and driveway. They had to redo the tile floor three times and it is still not right. This is the best rating I can give. We had woodlike (laminate) flooring installed one day and carpet the next...or at least that was what was initially communicated. They sprung on us at the very last minute -- i.e. the day after the woodlike flooring was installed -- that THAT install was scheduled for TWO days, which means we had to wait an extra day for carpet. The reason why is, their contractors -- not wanting to spend two days taking up the original flooring -- overlaid our original flooring, which lead to a debacle with two doors that would no longer close -- one to the basement and the other to the guest bathroom. Took them weeks to fix the basement door, meaning we were FREEZING for weeks. When their carpet people finally DID come, their work was excellent but they broke a lamp and scratched a bookcase. Woodlike flooring looks great, but also reduced our baseboards, since they overlaid the original flooring. The salesman is sure to scare you that taking up the original flooring may require a lot of work, which could increase the price by some UNKNOWN amount. But you have to sign on the one price -- and then the contractors asked US if it was ok to lay the woodlike floor on top of the old floor -- who exactly are the experts here? Do your research. Regarding your response, we still haven't been reimbursed for the damage to our lamp and furniture... read more

I waited patiently for nearly two months to get my floors installed. The job was quoted to be completed in two days on a Monday/Tuesday. On Monday, we never received a call and nobody could seem to track down our installers. They finally showed up at 3pm. They didn't show up at all on Tuesday. Our two day job took six and cost us an extra three days of wasted vacation time. The company is awful and promises they'll "be in touch," but they never are. The installers blamed the company over scheduling them and the company blamed them for accepting too many jobs. The whole thing was awful. Stay far away and use anyone else! read more

We recently contacted 50 floor for carpeting our upstairs. We don't utilize this space, but we still wanted it to look nice. The "sales person" came out and he was NOT knowledgable on anything flooring, just personal. He stated he was an executive level person coming out b/c all the sales people were busy. Come to find out, not only was/is he not an exec, he is barely a sales person as no one knew him...(Scott) His lack of knowledge measuring 3 square rooms lacked and as a result we were short about 10+ yards. This unfortunately led to 2 trips. Now... Andi and her installation team= TOP NOTCH! Andi did everything within her power to make it right, and the install crew (Judith & Francisco) hands down the best! They did an amazing job! So... our carpet is finished, the install was great! I recommend if you contact them, follow the person around and provide the actual measurements and by no means pay for it all up front. read more

We contracted with 50 Floor to install carpet in our living room and bedroom. We researched, spoke to a number of floor companies, and we are so glad we decided to go with 50 Floor. They called ahead to let us know when they would be arriving. Arrived on time and got right to work. We had packed up the small stuff in those rooms, but there were still some monster pieces of furniture to move. They handled it all without any problem. They installed about 160 yards of carpet in about 7 hours, and you have to search to find the seams. Moved the furniture back, vacuumed the new floors, and took away all the old carpet and pad. Then they called us when the carpet arrived and arrange for an installation. The workmen arrived on time worked quickly and we're finished and out the door before we knew it. I recently scheduled a free in home estimate so I can replace the entire second level including the stairs with waterproof laminate flooring. Before we could even get to the measuring of the second level, I was told that they do not replace carpet on the stairs with waterproof laminate flooring. They only put hardwood floors on the stairs. So when I asked how much it would be just for the one flight of stairs from my first level to the second level, they told me $4,000. Right then I ended the tour and said no thank you. The WORST carpet I've ever felt! The padding is basically non existent. They only offer one thickness in their padding and its so thin you might as well not have it at all. Padding and carpet thickness were very important to us. I was told by Matthew the salesman that it would be soft and thick and the best padding they offer. This is funny now that I know they only offer 1 padding thickness. From the very beginning it was a mess, the installers took much longer than expected, they asked me to take a look at the finished product. When I went upstairs I noticed they only completed half the job and didn't install carpet in my guest room. Then the installers blamed the salesman for measuring wrong. The salesman blamed the installers or someone at the company for ordering wrong. We called the office to discuss and spoke to a lady named Michelle. She couldn't have been more rude to my husband. After 2 days we FINALLY got in touch with the GM. He was very nice and even came out to check the carpet himself. He agreed that it was hard in places and felt like there was no padding underneath. He promised he would resolve this issue and make us happy customers. However after a week the only resolution was that they woudn't make us pay the balance for the room they left off. I've never written a bad review. But this has been such an overall horrible experience I wanted to share with others. Go with your local carpet companies, they know what they're doing, offer more choices of carpet and padding and overall really want to earn your business!! I love my new flooring but I should have pulled the plug on this company when there was a screw up on the flooring I ordered not once but twice. They finally were able to secure the product about a month later. I love the flooring product but installation was a nightmare! I am still finding scares on my walls and wood work, they splattered leveling compound on several pieces of furniture, broke a pipe in the powder room which flooded my basement, broke the lid on a chest ( which they did fix) and then left a huge mess on my front porch and yard. I could never recommend this company to anyone. Just FYI... check with a local flooring company the prices aren't much different and they will negotiate with you. A few months back we were shopping to replace carpet in our living room. We got a few quotes and liked what 50 floors offered. We set the appointment and waited for our instillation date. On that day, they sent out a subcontracted team of people that spoke almost no English. They didn't know how the install was supposed to go and they had to call someone to translate for us. The install was scheduled for 3 days with 3 coats of water based polly. They ripped out the carpet and sealed the doors to the dining room, kitchen and foyer. They did not seal the opening on the second floor and did not have sanders with dust collection. Obviously, the plastic was next to useless and we had dust all throughout the house. They also filled our floor air vents with dust and didn't bother to clean them out. The air kicked on and guess what... dust plume.... They did all 3 coats the same day after speeding through the install Here are the issues: * Floors were dull looking and rough. They felt unfinished. It was like they were stained and not polly coated. * They got stain all over my base boards and the new quarter trim. 50 floors said that stain on he baseboards wasn't their issue to resolve. * You could see stain lines where they turned the stain brush to go in the other direction. * They didn't move the furniture back. * They shoved small pieces of quarter trim in the spaces between the floor boards and the wall. They should have added small pieces of flooring instead. * They left trash in my yard. * They left tape high up on my walls after pulling the plastic down. We called 50 floors to complain and got a rep to come out and inspect. At first he didn't see an issue, then he crawled around the floor and changed his mind. He finally said it wasn't done right. He said he had to call the office and went to his vehicle for over 20 minutes. He came back in and said we are going to rip it out and start over because it wasn't done right. I repeated that back to him a few times to make sure I heard him correctly and each time he said, they would rip out the floors. It didn't make sense to me but I'm not a flooring expert. He also said they would replace the stained quarter trim. We set a new install date for a month later. We called a few weeks before the date to confirm a few things and when I would call the inspector from my cell number, it would go straight to voice mail. When I called from other numbers just moment later I would magically get through. It seems that he was avoiding my calls. Then, as I spoke with him he said the new team would be out to sand the floors and bring a few pieces to replace a few boards. I asked him why it changed from ripping out and starting over and he told me "you must have misunderstood me. I never said I would rip out the floors." I asked him why he used the term "rip out and start over" several times instead of replace and he could say anything other than "you misunderstood". So I dropped it because the floor looked ok and I knew a refinish would be work. The afternoon before the install we get a call that they didn't have the extra flooring in and would have to either push the install back a day or reschedule. We were annoyed since I had to take off work to be there, but we agreed to move it by one day. Not sure why they didn't plan better and have some wood on hand. The installer came out and didn't know what boards that they were replacing. It wasn't on the work order and neither was the information to replace the quarter trim (they did go and get this themselves to finish the istall). They also decided they would need to add the foyer to the job to make the floors look better. We were not planning on this and had to prepare to stay in the basement for a few days because the installer said we wouldn't be able to walk on the floor to get upstairs. When I told them we needed about a half hour to get our things together they tried to get us to reschedule. We declined and pushed on. These installers did a better job at taping off the rooms as well as using sanders with dust collection. We had very little dust in the house this time. On day 2, they were scheduled to come out at 8:00 to do the second coat. I had to text them at 9:30 to find out where they were. They showed up around 10:00 and completed the second coat. On the third day, they arrived early and completed the final coat. I was then told they would be back on Monday at 12:30 to complete the quarter trim and move furniture. I got a text at 7:30 that they were on the way. We were not available as we had planned our day around the 12:30 time frame. I texted back and they agreed to come out at the original 12:30. Of course they didn't arrive at 12:30. We had to text and call several times and finally found out that they would be there around 2:00. At 2:30 I had to leave to get my kid from school and had to leave them alone to wrap up. I don't recommend using them. read more

I was encouraged by the ease it was to make an appointment. Then the gentleman came to my house. Thats where the bad experience started. 1st off I had to go out of town for business so I wasn't able to make it in person. But my wife was there and had me on video call. Im expecting a presentation. But no thus gentleman said this isn't going to work both of us needed to be there and insisted that my wife didn't know what she was doing. Mt wife promptly escorted him out of our house and I wanted to share this experience with the world. There are too many of these companies out there to put up with nonsense like that inside of your own house. I never imagined a home renovation project could turn out to be such a pleasant experience! The crew arrived on time as promised, and I was amazed at how the installation crew completed my entire downstairs in one day. They carefully moved my furnishings, removed all of the existing flooring, prepped the existing slab, installed the new flooring and base molding trim, cleaned up any trace of debris from the work and put all of the furniture back into place in eight hours. I never saw a crew work more efficiently, thoroughly, courteously and professionally, led by a most-impressive team leader, Wilmer Sanchez, who kept everything moving quickly and addressed every minor issue with me to assure the best possible installation result! Weird experience. I set up a consult for an initial quote for replacing all of the flooring in our house. The guy came out and immediately asked if my husband would be joining us. I told him, no, he was at work. He then explained why he couldn't give me a quote because my husband was not here with me - they are so busy that they don't have time to come back out to requote the business when he's here (as if I'm not capable of making a decision). It was insulting. If you are a woman, may as well skip this business. They don't work with women!! read more

We have experienced the worst with this company. This company is fast to gain your services but will not take responsibility for their errors or negligence. We had our entire bottom level of our wood floors replaced by this company. I noticed after the job was finished some of the baseboards were not leveled, like they were before the job. So, we contacted the company to request for someone to level the baseboards back to how they were before the job was done. I took pictures and sent to this company through email. At first, it appeared as if this company was willing to help and understood my dissatisfaction. The representative said she would help and sent someone out to fix the job. First there was confusion of the date with someone coming out to fix the problem. I called back to clarify the date. Finally, a man arrived he had me sign a paper and indicated that he would fix the job, and will return within an hour. After 3 hours passed I called the company back to find out what happened, as the man never returned. The representative then told me that they cannot fix the problem. I asked to speak with a manager and have a manager call me. The representative hesitated and a manager never called me back. As of yet I have not received a receipt, record, or confirmation of this man arriving at the house or any paper trail regarding this issue. What I noticed about this company, they were quick to receive my service but slow and not at all to fix the mistakes that were made on their behalf. This company has lost me as a customer.
