We were required to replace the entire first floor of engineered wood flooring due to water leak issues. Alan's was the low bidder. We received excellent advice about appropriate replacement materials. Then a timely period from signing the contract to being ready to go to work. Alan's showed up on time. Their work is beyond excellent; and done by true craftsmen .... the lead man was described as "He's the best" and that he is. The store has an amazing amount of product. Beautiful carpet and rugs, and a wide selection of hard surfaces. Richie was sweet and helpful. Prices were comparable to the big box stores, including Floor and Decor. I came here two or three times looking for flooring. I was originally going to do hardwoods upstairs, but right now, the prices are crazy. I had Lowe's come out too and measure, and they came in at a much lower rate. Alan's was exorbitant for hardwoods. So then I came back deciding on upgraded laminate or vinyl, which also came out pretty costly, but their carpets were more reasonable. So I decided to see about replacing two bedrooms. The guy said my samples would ship out and be there in a few days, never came. I also called and left a message for this guy to call me back that same day, and never got a call back. I also called the next day, and spoke to someone else who said he would have this particular salesman call me back, and never did. So, all in all, poor customer service, and I will take my business elsewhere. read more

To sum up our experience in one word: EXCEPTIONAL! We began looking to replace the carpet on our main floor after our dogs lovingly decided to put their "decorative touch" on the carpet in our master bedroom ‍ We visited another local shop that had good reviews and the experience was absolutely awful! We visited Alan's Flooring the same day and immediately Daisy was a breath of fresh air! We had exiting hardwood we needed to match and while the other store couldn't locate it, Daisy was able to find it for us in a few short minutes. We even discovered our manufacturer contact had given us the wrong color by mistake and Daisy was able to get us the correct color to match our existing flooring to a T. Install date was timely, the pricing was fair and competitive and our installation day went perfectly! Installing flooring is a very labor intensive job and so many moving parts. It was fascinating to watch and I really appreciated the crew's attention to detail and handling everything with such care. They cleaned up multiple times and we were left with wood floors that looked like they had been there all along. We used Alan's Flooring twice this year for our kids' bedrooms. They were great! Not only were they one of the few places that called us back with a quote, they were also the most reasonably priced. Alan's flooring installed vinyl plank flooring in three of my bedrooms. I bought this commercial grade vinyl because I wanted it to be hard to scratch and last a long time. Jesus showed me the commercial grade flooring made by Shaw. It came close to matching my existing hardwood in the rest of my house. All the staff at Alan's was very helpful. On the day of the install I had already prepared the rooms and floors for the install. Alan's gave me credit for doing this and I was thankful. The installers arrived on time. They began the work right away. I gave Alan's 4 stars because I did have to tell the employees to be careful on their cuts because I was concerned about the gap that was needed along the the baseboard. I felt they were getting a little sloppy with their cuts. I have a little experience laying flooring so I shared my concerns. They did has I requested. I also informed the manager of Alan's about the concern I had. She stated this will be corrected and discussed with the staff. I felt the price was fair for the vinyl and the install. In the height of the COVID craze they were there to do what they committed to do. They came out and quoted our job and offered suggestions to improve our design requirements. We used Alan's twice. Downstairs LVT and loved it so much we did upstairs. I checked the big box stores too but we had a issue with thickness of planks we needed. I had an appointment with this company today at 2:30. When they weren't here at 3:00 I called to inquire as to why they didn't show. I was told by the gentleman that answered that they just got back from lunch. He didn't even know there was an appt. until he checked and then stated to me that he saw that we did have an appt. today. This review doesn't even deserve one star. They've put me and my husband out by not showing and not even giving us the courtesy of a call to say they wouldn't be here. I will never use this company for any flooring job. Terrible service! I'm somewhat a happy customer because despite having issues they were relatively quick to fix them. But still, for all high reviews this company got I'm a bit disappointed because they made some mistakes. For example, when they refinished the stairs they left a mess of stains on the white paint. I thought they would at least use some tape to protect the paint. Also, they said they would be done on June 19th but they were not officially done until June 27th. Plus they overlooked the laundry room and didn't even put new flooring there and I had to ask them about it in order to resolve it. Overall, they did a good job but I'm a little disappointed in how I had to stay on top of them to make sure they fix problems. read more

Very bad experience and have yet to hear from the owner. If I could give zero stars I would. Ripples and waves throughout our entire project, paint tore up, dust and dirt everywhere, and work crew went upstairs into our personal area and into our basement while we were away. Left dirt and bootmarks on our couches in our TV room in the basement. There was no need for them to be in the basement or upstairs. Was only having the main floor refinished. Very invasive. Dust made everyone in my family sick upon returning home. Very upsetting and disappointing. read more

After doing a ton of research, I went with Alan's Flooring for my new Coretec flooring (throughout most of our main floor). I pretty much knew what I wanted before I went to Alan's, but they were patient and went over various types of products that fit my needs. I felt the price was right for both the flooring and the installation. There were some special tweaks for our install which the team handled with professionalism and a positive attitude! I had new baseboards/shoe mold installed as well and they did a fantastic job on that part as well! I highly recommend Alan's Flooring if you want to be treated like a respected customer.
