Before and after pictures of our entry way. We bought the 17 year old home with white oak floors, oak banisters and white spindles.

Absolutely beautiful and beyond expectations. We bought a home that was built in 2000 and had white oak hardwood floors in the entryway and kitchen area but had carpet in the den and dining area. The main level is an open floor plan and all of these rooms flow together. The house also had oak banisters with white spindles and carpet on the stairs. We wanted to update the home by removing the carpet in the den and dining area as well as the carpet on the stairs. We also wanted to remove the 17-year-old spiral banisters on the entry to the stair rail as well as refinished and stain all of the hardwood a darker color. Based off of the reviews on yelp we called Your Floor. Ben responded immediately and was able to meet us within a day and provide a quote while on site. This was my first time re-staining and installing hardwood floor's and modifying a staircase so Ben was very patient with me as I asked my many questions. He was very thorough in explaining the quote and every itemization within it. Because of his thoroughness, We realized when talking the project through with him that there were other items we wanted him to do, such as remove the white spindles and replace with iron spindles, paint the risers on the stairs, remove the spiral banisters completely, and strip and stain the handrails. In addition to the many tasks of the project, we were on a tight timeline as we scheduled the floors to be completed after we closed on the house but prior to moving in which was less than six days later. Ben and his team were phenomenal. Their work is superior to anything we have seen and his team are true craftsman. Not only were they very professional and polite, they even stayed until after 8pm one evening to make sure we stayed on our timeline. Additionally, Ben and his project leaders remained in constant communication with us as to the progress of the project and ensured us they would be finished on time... And they were. We could not be happier with Your Floor's work. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone and when we decide to replace the carpet upstairs we will be calling Ben and his team again. We have included some before and after pictures. Also, for two people that grew up in family businesses and now run a business, we appreciate that your floor is a family business that has been in business for generations. In our opinion there is a much higher attention to detail and quality of work provided.

Pictures say it all so please look. The work was terrible but what was worse was the way he handled getting it fixed and then denying damage they clearly did. He cancelled three appointments to come out and meet me to view the repair work. Each time I took off work and he cancelled by text less than 30 minutes before each appointment. In the text he said that an emergency came up. I asked what the emergency was because he had done this three times and then started debating me about when else he had cancelled. Then he said that he didn't need to come because the pictures were enough. Then why make the appointment???? Then, you will notice that the kick board to the oven is missing. He said his people told him they put it back. Clearly they didn't because it's not there. I am subtracting the amount of the new kick board and installation from the final invoice. The floors look okay but not great. He was going to fix them again but now I have furniture moved in and Ben wanted me to sign a waiver of liability because they are not insured for your furniture. I will have an insured, honest company finish the work. Over priced, annoying, and RUDE.

Ask the Community - Your Floor

Hi,Could you please give me a quote today?I have about 2200sqft floor needs to be replaced by the laminate which I already bought. So how much costs just for the labor?(including remove my old floor and take away and install my new floor) thanks

The best way to get a price is to set up an appointment at www.yourfloor.net and select schedule estimate.

I am only giving this company a 1 star review. Many issues here. They lumped all 3 rooms together…read moreon the estimated order. When purchasing the flooring 3 months later, I removed a room but was still charged for all 3. This was brought to my attention on the day of installation. The worst issue is the floor sample I saw in the showroom is NOT the same floor as installed. I was told by the Store Manager that "you cannot go by the sample". If that's the case, why would I purchase the floor? Everyone who came by or I showed pictures of the floor agreed that the floor was extremely darker than the sample. I was given a verbal offer to "swap out the floor from the same manufacturer" by the Store Manager who ghosted me with phone calls, texts, and in store visits. Avoid much? Very professional....said no one ever! Now let's get to the refund issue. Since I was erroneously charged for 3 rooms and specifically stated I only wanted 2 rooms of flooring, after numerous calls with everyone I could reach out to, it took this company 4 months to finally give me a credit of $663 and change, which at this point, the tax was not included in the refund. I thought using this company would help our community instead of using big companies, i.e., Home Depot or Lowe's. Lesson learned the hard way. Always go with the bigger companies. They want to please their customers. To date, the Store Manager's option "to swap out the floors" has not been followed through. I've asked twice since being refunded and all I hear is radio silence. So you cannot count on anyone's word. Another lesson learned the hard way. Not everyone is going to be honest. Word of advice, do not use this company. They only post the "good reviews". On a positive note, Tiago and Jacques, the installer, were phenomenal!

I do not recommend for follow-up on issues. Other issues include uneven stove due to floor placement and incorrect transition to wood flooring.

Antoine was quick to respond and was able to come out within a day or so of me asking for a quote…read more Antoine provided a quote that priced all the work separately, allowing us to choose the work scope that was within our budget. He was also flexible in additional requests we had along the way (like asking for a final glossy coat to finish the wood floors). I was originally going to replace carpet with LVP but found wood floors under the carpet! We chose to have the wood floors refinished and stained and they turned out fantastic! It looks like a completely new space. The job was scheduled within a few days and was completed on schedule. Included (for a fee) in the quote was assistance putting furniture back in the room which was helpful. I'd contact Antoine again for future flooring needs.

My expectations might have been too high because of all the great reviews. My experience was good,…read morebut not excellent. Let's start with the good - he did get most of the stains out and did a great job tightening up our carpet. He was also on time and easy to communicate with. The not-so-good: the main thing that irked me was that he put our furniture on top of our other furniture. This includes an air purifier that was on the dirty floor of our bedroom which was moved to be on top of our clean bed. He also put our tables on top of our couches. Not the cleanest method to clean. When I've hired Stanley Steamer before they come with 2 guys who move all the heavy furniture around and place everything on these pad-looking things. They never put things on top of things. They also ask you to move the smaller things out of the way. Also, he also wasn't able to get out of a couple of minor stains. I'd say he was about as expensive as Stanley Steamer, but not as effective. All and all, he was a nice guy but his methodology is questionable.

I found them by chance and wished I did sooner. Pam was fabulous and helped us select some pieces that would fit well with our house/style. She has a great eye for design. She gave us some samples to take and test at the house. Charbel was wonderful to work with as well. I LOVE our flooring. Our contractor recently put them in. Every time I look down, I smile. I love it so much. It's chaise tan by Shaw. Go to Dalton for your flooring needs. These people are honest and know what they are doing. I shared this review on Google, but wanted to include them here as well. They are really great people to work with.

DON'T JUST SHOP, GET EDUCATED!…read more I decided to visit this store because I wanted a larger inventory of flooring products. They had a nice collection of carpets, wood, tile and porcelain options. I just love being able to go to the store and try out the products and experience them as I would in my home. So I kick off my shoes and lay it on the floor and walk on it. How else do you do it? There was plenty of room available to explore and I love having a work table to rest my bag and notebook. Sometimes I take notes but I allowed my husband to do most of the listening as I shopped. Although I like to do research before visiting the store, I still like to ask questions because the employees may have different answers based on their direct experience with clients. For example, one product that my husband liked at a previous store was ruled out here due to complaints about its tendency to become easily soiled and another was ruled out due to its poor performance in high traffic areas. Gene was very knowledgeable about the carpet and he helped us to really narrow our choices. Shopping for carpet is simply overwhelming and we are easily going into our second month of trying to make a decision. It is not just about the carpet, you need to know about their installation process as well. If there is an imperfection that is found in the sub-floor after the carpet is removed, With Dalton Flooring Outlet, I can easily work directly with the contractor to have it addressed. My neighbor was not able to do this with his installers due to company policy. Instead of correcting those issues, they were literally covered up. You must consider "worse case scenario" so that all possible issues can be addressed prior to the install. Some stores are very rigid and if it is not spelled out in the contract, you might have a problem. They have a very nice selection of porcelain tile and planks. However, they have only one very trusted tile guy and he will not be available for another six to nine months. Apparently, you can easily run into this problem if you want porcelain because a different carpet store stated that porcelain is just not that popular so they did not have anyone who could install it even though they sold it. Beware because this could present a problem down the road if you need to have a piece replaced or repaired. We picked out a couple of porcelain samples that we would like to try in our home and they will be shipped to us at no cost. We were also able to take home a couple of their carpet samples for review as well. ***Remember, if you don't do the research, you will not be able to ask intelligent questions and you won't really understand what they are telling you. It is also easier to rule out and rule in certain options.
