We made the best decision ever to work with Select Floors! They did a very big job for us. They removed all our carpet upstairs and pulled up the old engineered glued wood downstairs to install luxury vinyl planks (CORETec Pro Plus Enhanced Planks Edinburgh Oak) throughout the whole house. In addition, (and most impressive), they installed hardwood stairs and landings and were able to match the stain to the vinyl floors perfectly! It all came out better than I ever expected. The job was done as promised and on time and the whole team was friendly and efficient at ensuring we were happy. George was amazing at helping with product selection. I was not ready to start yet due to my project, but he never pressured me, just said to call him when ready. So I called him when I was ready. I talked to multiple local flooring vendors before deciding to go with Select Floors. All seemed good, but Select Floors had the best pricing and the estimator I worked with, Kelly, is a really great and personable guy who sold me on them. The quality of service did not disappoint. The install team was headed by Reggie, and they got my new CoreTec LVP installed quickly and professionally. There was a slight issue where there was a miscount on stair treads needed so Kelly had the treads rush-ordered and Reggie came back a third day to finish the last two steps up. It was a great experience, and I'll be using them again in the winter to finish up the house's flooring with carpet in the living room. read more

Timeline - Select Floors said they could finish a job consisting of hardwood floors, carpeting, and tiling, in a week, as the house was empty and they said they could work overnight. It took them 3 weeks to finish the job and they kept pushing it back. Twice they called to let them in the house, even though we left a key for them. (They didn't work either of those days because someone else had the key). Completely unorganized and this caused me to push back other work twice because they couldn't stick to their own timeline. Quality - For the amount of money I spent, I expected much better work. The hardwood floor team didn't block the vents, so all the sanding dust went into my AC and clogged the filter. The hardwood floor team also left drip marks all down a riser and said they can't sand/stain/poly risers (it was already done previously). They also told me since I'm selling my house who cares what it looks like, just paint the risers. The person doing the tiling put a piece of unsecure quarter round down instead of a threshold from a garage to mudroom (replaced with an old dirty used one after I complained). Tile person also dripped dirty water on the brand new carpet just installed and left stains (cleaned after I complained) and he left a mess in a downstairs bedroom where he was cutting tile and quarter round (could've done it outside or in the garage). Tile person also left mortar and grout all over my driveway and hose. They shoved a piece of trim along the carpet on the stairs, which was never fixed. Carpeting team was good. Price - Way too expensive for the quality of work. They sub contract out to people who are unqualified and who have no standards. They don't follow up on the quality of the work and just expect payment. I got sick of dealing with them and I'm stuck fixing things myself. Do not use this company read more

Our job was in an historic building with uneven floors typical after 100 years. George and Sam both came to estimate the work. We were impressed by their expertise and knowledge of construction from an earlier time. The crew worked expertly and made the tricky installation look nearly perfect. They used long deck screws to secure the plank subfloor to the joists. That and a layer of tar paper made the new floors noise-free. That is impressive workmanship. We preserved the historic pine steps by having them tightened and refinished. Again it went from noisy at every step, to complete silence. Again, the workmanship is impressive. We also tiled the entire basement and the master bath. George and Sam are a pleasure to work with. Donna manages the office and was diligent about keeping us up-to-date about materials and crews on a complicated project. I have used Select Floors now twice for re-carpeting jobs in my house. Several years ago I had them re-carpet my basement, and recently I had the rest of my house re-carpeted. I found them very friendly and easy to work with. Their showroom in Marietta is conveniently open on Saturdays and they have a very friendly staff in there. It was easy to make a selection, and they let me take some samples home to help with my decision. A salesman came out later for measurements and also was very friendly and upfront about explaining everything involved. I decided to go with a more high end, plush and thick carpet, and was glad I did so. The carpet looks real stunning in my house and is a major improvement. I scheduled the crew to come out a couple of weeks after the carpet was ordered. They did four rooms, two hallways and stairs. There were some major pieces of furniture to move around. Everything was done professionally and relatively quickly. They were in and out in about 5 hours. I paid a 50% deposit and then 50% upon completion of the work. This firm is very good to work with and you get probably some more personal attention than you would from a big box store. I recommend them for a flooring job. read more

Select Floors, Inc. did an outstanding refinishing job! We could not be more satisfied with the refinishing of our hardwood floors last week. We've had our floors refinished twice before and once my husband did it himself. Never has the job been done as quickly, flawlessly, with this little dust, or as inexpensively. The process was far more detailed than we've ever experienced with previous refinishings. The floors were sanded down to bare wood, were treated with wood filler about every 6-12", was stained, then sealed, and the first coat of polyurethane was applied, all in one day, from 8:00am until 6:00pm. They returned two days later to apply a second coat of polyurethane and a third coat of polyurethane was applied two days after that. We've never had wood filler used before, nor a sealant or a third coat of polyurethane. And what work we've had done in the past took at least 2 days to get to the polyurethane stage. Select Floors was the lowest bidder of 4 bids we got, and were back with a quote within 24 hours. Thee others took days, if we got one at all. Edson and his crew were friendly, efficient and extremely skilled. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Usually it's pick two: 1. Fast 2. Cheap 3. Good We got all three. Lynn kept me informed as to when they would be by to measure, when our estimate would arrive and if we decided to go with them when installation would start and conclude. The first appointment was on-time in fact George was a few minutes early which I appreciated. George explained to me the different types of flooring and what would be best in our lower level. We ended up with LVT and Carpet. The LVT was much more durable and incredibly useful than I imagined it would be. I highly recommend Select Floors for anyone who needs floors installed. A gentleman named George came to my house and he was so unpleasant that I knew I was not going to use him after 2 minutes. At first I wanted a quote to finish the floors but he pointed out to me why he could not do it, which was fine. I was OK wih that. THere was obvious damage to the floors because of our dogs, their water bowls, etc. I know now to put down mats but he made me feel that the whole situation was "my fault" and I should have known better. Really nasty. He said he would send me a quote but I never heard from him. Good riddance! read more

The installers were a bit gruff, which was a little off putting, but they took care of everything while I was in the hospital for several days and cleaned up and locked up when they were done.
