Coffee was good but the pastries tasted day old and dry. If the pastry was fresh would have been another star or two for sure.

I always enjoy checking out new coffee shops, so I was excited when I saw this one near me. I was surprised to see macarons and several breakfast items. The shop was clean and I liked that the menu was simple and straight forward with some coffee and tea options. Although the pastry I got was a bit in the dry side, the cold brew was pretty tasty. Price is likely comparable to Starbucks and other coffee shops. I do wish they had more signature items during my visit for me to try. Regardless, I would come back.

I ordered an almond croissant and a cup of their regular brew. The nice girl behind the counter recommended the almond croissant enthusiastically, and for good reason. It was delicious! The cafe is cozy with both bench and stool seating, some of which are by the full length windows facing the city. Would definitely return on my next visit to Seattle. The location is a few minutes walk to the Harbor.

Always empty daily and they never seem to replenish them.

This cafe and this hotel (connected to the Fairmont Olympic in Seattle) has been horrific for the entirety of the week we've stayed here. Every morning they run out of cups for coffee (today we got one of the last 12 oz cups) and they always show empty display cases of sandwiches or pastries (and the stuff that's left are all "spoken for" - meaning they're already sold to other customers). There aren't even that many people here in town for Thanksgiving week when the City is virtually empty, and mind you, it's only 9:30 am or so whenever we drop in for food and coffee! Very disappointed with our stay and the choices for food, especially because we had a $72 food credit each morning in connection with our 5-day stay because we are Amex Platinum cardholders and paid a premium to book our room through the Amex Travel portal. We had a very difficult time using our credit each morning and it was definitely not the platinum travel experience we are accustomed to with other Fine Resorts and Hotel experiences. Very frustrated!

Amazing coffee place! We were on our way to a different coffee place when we found this place next to our hotel. We came for a conference so we needed a lot of coffee and good coffee. Their breakfast options are amazing...especially the croissant sandwich. Great spot to stop if in the area.

This cafe is pretty good. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and found both (one bagel, one croissant) to be a bit sweet. My latte was mediocre, but my fiancé liked his black coffee. If I came back, I would try the quiche. The guy working the counter was great--he was quick and kind. The shop is following all appropriate COVID restrictions, complete with sanitized pens.

The best seasonal danish I have ever eaten or remember. It was flaky, sweet and sour, melting in your mouth kind of pastry. Also their croissants are flakey and delicious. Capuccinos were great. This coffee shop is in the Fairmont Olympic hotel premises and also accessible from the street which makes it very frequented. Small space but packed with somehow Art Deco charm. My colleagues also complimented the color palette and also having real newspapers to read, like in the old cafes.

What a cute little spot. Great atmosphere. Friendly service. A great variety of sweet and savory options. I had a hard time choosing and everything looked really good. Very impressed with the French style pastries. Will be back to try some of the fancier options. But for this round, a first trip, something more traditional. I grabbed a chocolate croissant and an espresso. The espresso was Ladro, which is a decent roaster. Nice shot and it's served in the cutest, hippest fashion: on a wooden plank with some sparkling water in a tiny Mason jar. Cute. Hipster. Like it. Croissant was good and chocolatey but minus one star for it being just being greasy. The bottom layers were oily. I know, so picky. But I'll be back for sure when I'm looking to treat myself. Their breakfast sandwich options looked great. (also don't be like the insane dude next to me and eat a burrito with a fork and knife. Just don't)

I stopped by over the weekend and tried the almond croissant and an iced vanilla latte. I was honestly surprised by how reasonably priced everything was, especially considering it's in such a tourist-heavy area. For comparison, the coffee shop upstairs (storyville) had lattes for around $8.50, while here we got two coffees AND two pastries for about $24 total. For the quality, I thought that was a really good value. I order vanilla lattes everywhere I go, and this one was fantastic. The space itself is also pretty large -- we were able to find seating easily even on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Seattle. It was very crowded, but still found a spot and the long line went by quickly. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're visiting Seattle!

When asking for the most popular item, the friendly employee said the almondine (almond croissant) would be the must-try. I have to say- it was a great croissant, but not the best I've ever had. However, I did think the pricing was very reasonable here. There is a small selection of indoor seating, and of course, they have a full coffee menu to enjoy, too. The vibe felt somewhat formal and not the cozy local bakery vibe I enjoyed at other spots in Seattle. The hardest part about visiting Pike Place is that there is so much to choose from and so much competition. Are there better bakeries? Probably. Is Le Panier great and easily accessible on the main strip of Pike Place? Yes. That fact makes it a great choice for your pastry needs.

Eschew Wifi-enabled tech-absorption in favor of real conversations, long-form thoughts exchanged with multiple intelligences called for in real human connection, or the simple joy of imagination and day dreaming. I love their decorative little tables facing the quiet Capitol Hill side-street itself not particularly attractive -- but which offers a pause for a bite and a sip without the capitalist rushtime nipping at your heels. I've had their stellar and inventive-flavored macarons, but their cakes are no slouches either. The rose pistachio coffee cake was delectable. I make this place a destination because if I am lucky I can get one of those bay-window tables for a vegetarian quiche or Spanish tortilla washed down by coffee. I noticed the use of fresh herbs and the sense of a good ingredients and home-touch hand with their plates, as opposed to the commonplace, harried, sloppy kitchen production. Their drip coffee was too acidic for my taste (I prefer nutty balanced, chocolatey flavor). Next time I would get a latte. A higgledy-piggledy antique-style bathroom in the back is another sign of a time-hewn, characterful place. The brickwork in their narrow back patio is inviting but on a recent Sunday morning had been snagged for a private party. Finally a note to the artful wall tributes to heroic workers martyrs from U.S. history. The cafe elevates the spirit of care for the working person, which is noteworthy. Counter to the loudest mouthpieces of the modern era that would erase these assassinated/ crushed heroes that fought for the wellbeing and life of working people, you know that it is these heroes' spirit of courage that continues to outshine the capitalist drivel and machine mind of the majority.

If I was interested in custom macarons, I would most definitely order some from Macadons. The flavor in this case is a simple vanilla, which has its charms, though I typically buy other flavors. The shell doesn't have the characteristic slight crispy, which is understandable since these are not fresh from the store. The inside is a very creamy filling that squished out on the sides as I bite down. Everyone has their own texture preferences. I personally like it less creamy. I had a friend gathering to go to the same night, and wanted to bring some desserts so this place came to mind. For it being very wet and rainy, this place feels like a nice relief from all that with the bright lighting and the cafe-like feel of the place. There's a grassy wall near the back for photo ops, and there are some tables, window seating and front couch seating. They don't only sell macarons here; there's also coffee, tea, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. I got a baker's dozen, which comes with 12 randomly assorted regular-sized macarons in a small container. This particular one came with three limited flavors: red velvet, cran-orange and a pear-like flavor. They were marked separately on a card provided with the box that shows all their regular offerings of macaron flavors. This came to $36 compared to $40 for the same number of macarons if you wanted to choose specifically which flavors you wanted instead. I also got myself a Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich; each one is prepackaged and $8. Both people working at the counter were extremely helpful in helping me decide what to get, and explaining the differences between both sets. Flavor wise, I was not disappointed: - My Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich hit the spot! The macarons did not come apart too easily and I could still maintain the shape of the sandwich throughout. Ice cream consistency is great, and the Thai tea flavor is not too strong. The whole thing is not too sweet by itself either, and this goes for all of their macarons in general. From other visits to their stand during conventions, I recommend their Cap'n Crunch berry, lemon, peach and durian flavors for ice cream sandwiches. - One of my friends and I loved the Vietnamese coffee flavored macaron. Taste is strong like phin-brewed coffee and it didn't have much sweet of a taste, something that would not have done well for this flavor. - The cran-orange and blueberry flavors were our other favorites; both had tastes that reminded me a lot of their respective flavors. - The box also had dark chocolate, vanilla, ube, Thai tea, pistachio and salted caramel flavors. All were decent and tasty. What I like about this place is that the taste for all of their macarons is exactly as advertised and never bogged down by the flavor that macaron shells are usually full of. I can't eat too many of these at once since they can be too sweet over time, so I would save these for a group setting where you can share these. By themselves, they are a great way to get your sweet tooth the love it needs!
