Apparently Daniel and his are very new to caring and servicing pools from my experience. There was always an outside factor on to why it was not his fault the pool had algae or that he was spending so much on pool chemicals. During the month of January he suggested my pool needs to be drained due to the amount of chemicals he was spending to keep not just my pool clean but others as well. Pool was drained by the previous owners February 2025 and he could not understand why the pool levels were not correct when David came to service it. Pool was drained by us and cost less than Daniel said he could do it for. I reached out to Daniel 4/12/26 regarding algae build on the walls and steps of my pool. I asked that the pool be given a thorough scrub to get the pool ready for the summer. David came over Monday, April 13th and stayed for 9 minutes, leaving the wall and steps still full of algae. I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously so I terminated my pool service with Daniel via email on 4/17/2026. I asked that I be taken off of autopay immediately to avoid being charged on the 1st, he replied "Will do". Come May 1, 2026 I was charged 120$, unbelievable. I reached out to Daniel 5/1/26 to get a refund and was told not sure why you were charged and refund takes 5-7 days. Today is 5/18/26 and I have yet to get a refund from him. I had to call my bank to issue a dispute charge as he did not even read nor text me back on 5/14/16 to see what was going on regarding the refund. I am not the only person he has not refunded. Check the other reviews regarding this company. Please use this company if you enjoy subpar service, listening to a silver tongued snake talk your ear off. If his website still says veteran owned, do not believe him. His former business partner was the veteran, not Daniel.

We called Shasta Pools, Presidential Pools & Spas, and California Pools & Landscape to schedule an onsite consultation. Shasta Pools never contacted us, but we did get a call to schedule an onsite appointment with both Presidential Pools and California Pools for Friday, June 30, 2023. On the same day, I met with Karin Tierney (Backyard Design Specialist) from Presidential Pools and Christian Pierre (Designer) from California Pools. After the initial visit (June 30th), I never heard back from Karin Tierney of Presidential Pools, not one follow up or anything. Christian from California Pools immediately emailed me two days later with images for ideas and started creating our paradise oasis. Christian Pierre was professional, engaged, listened to our stories and dreams, asked us open-ended questions and his communication was excellent. Within a week, Christian presented us a video of the first pool designed. We made some minor changes and then he presented us the final video that turned our vision into a digital paradise oasis. I couldn't believe it, the video was literally what we visioned and dreamed, but the cost was above what we expected. We reminded ourselves, "You only live once." If this home is going to be our last, we don't want any regrets or future projects later, lets do this project right one last time. We said, "Let's Go!" We confirmed the project with California Pools and shortly after, we were introduced to Stephen Dreher (Lead Construction Manager). Stephen was a gentleman, very easy to talk to, a great listener, and a professional who follows through with action. Demolition started February 2024. Throughout the 2024 year, various construction teams came in to do their part of the project. Stephen kept in touch with me weekly with updates and seeking any questions from me. He was ALWAYS available via text, phone calls and in person. We made some changes during the project and Stephen was on top of processing Change Orders and updating the construction teams. Neighborhoods are made up of many types of people, and even with HOA approvals and city permits, you will find out which neighbors enjoy complaining and making it known that they are not happy people. No worries though, with Stephen's professional confidence and patience, he presented himself to these neighbors to answer any questions or address their concerns. Once he made himself available to these party poopers, the complaints lessened. After 12 months of construction, the pool project came to an end February 2025. I have to admit that making the decision to have California Pools & Landscape take on this project was one of the best decisions we ever made. The entire team that makes California Pools operate are ALL professionals and experts at what they do. The third party construction teams that work with California Pools were all professionals, execute precision work, and clean up their work when done. Stephen Dreher was in communication with all third party teams. Having the pool of our dreams seen on a video and built in our very own backyard is a dream come true. California Pools has converted our beautiful backyard (Casita Talasera) to "The Happiest Place On Earth." I will never say it enough though, THANK YOU Stephen Dreher for standing by our side from start to finish. Thank you for your honesty. Thank you for representing California Pools with pride and dedication. Even though Stephen loves California Pools and loves what he does, he always puts the customer first. After a few years, the pebble colors tend to fade out due to hard water deposits. After the Acid Wash I could see the pebbles looking colorful and shiny again. Aqua Harmony was great from the initial call to schedule, and workmen were right on time (for draining yesterday) and the acid cleaning today. The technician that did the cleaning today was Zack. He is a very polite individual and consciences about his work. He made sure I was happy with everything before he packed up his equipment. Then I called Joe in the office to inquire about how I am supposed to pay. Joe was very helpful during the initial call to get the work scheduled. And he was very helpful today, and asked me more than a couple of times if I was happy with all of the work. They truly want to do a good job and want to make sure the customers are happy. The next time I need to acid wash, or need any equipment repairs, I won't hesitate to call them for help. I am very happy with their work and with the quality of their employees. In late March 2024 we contracted with Fowler's to service our pool, spa and water feature. We…read morechose them because they had a very high rating on Yelp. During the initial months, their service was outstanding. At their recommendation we had them replace multiple components to our system. Their initial performance resulted in me writing a five star review on Yelp. In the past year, their service for us had deteriorated significantly. I contacted management multiple times regarding various issues. I complained when they replaced a very competent service technician with an individual who was marginal at best. After several months, he was replaced by another individual who was only minimally better. During the early months of our contract, Fowler's agreed to clean our water feature filter two times per month at no charge. Recently we noticed a reduction in the flow from the waterfall for our water feature and asked the technician to clean the filter. He replied "I'll do it next week". Several days later the water flow stopped altogether. This resulted in another call to management who subsequently informed me that the two times per month cleaning of the filter had not been done for the past five months. He then told me that they were no longer honoring their previous commitment and would only clean the filter every four months with a cost to us of more than $200. If additional cleanings were needed, we would be charged an additional fee. At that point, I decided to look for other vendors. The two that I interviewed both said that the water feature was full of algae. This was without any prompting by us. I contracted with a new vendor who cleaned the water feature filter and removed the algae. The time to clean the filter was seven minutes. To jeprodize a very lucrative contract for a seven minute task makes me question Fowler's business expertise. In retrospect, after spending over $13,000 with Fowler's in less than two years, I realize that they were not the company for us. I gave them more chances than most and they failed to perform to my expectations. I now know why they have recently received poor Yelp ratings from other individuals.
