Nice vibe, food is great, drinks are tasty. There's limited seating so reservations are highly recommended. They had a special of lobster empanadas, the empanada itself was ok, the filling inside lacked flavor. The jerk shrimp and grits is very rich in flavor. Their ox tail Mac & cheese is good, but I would have preferred just a simple ox tail dish because the Mac & cheese could be a bit too much.

Ok so this review is like 3 months late. Sorry!!! But as promised let me review this gem! Let me start by saying LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! My server was Alba and it was her first week when I came (back in April ). If this was her first week, I couldn't tell. She was so professional, genuine and honestly just nice. She gave good recommendations and was sweet. Like I said we came at the tail end of happy hour and she kept coming back to make sure we got enough happy hour specials. Definitely a good server. Ask for We ended up catching the tail end of happy hour and were able to get some bites at a good price. The birria empanadas were pretty good and this is coming from someone who isn't a birria fan at all. The mango pineapple wings were very good and flavorful. But the other oxtails stole the show. They were so dang good! They had griot on the menu but it's only served on Wednesday. So I gave the manager Ken a hard time. Lol. He was a good sport. But let's also give credit to a manager who was making sure that alba was comfortable during her first week. Also, it was EXTREMELY busy and packed and he was walking around checking on the tables. My homegirl and I will be back!!!

Great vibes, a beautiful atmosphere, and a friendly crowd make this my go-to spot when I want to unwind. I love grabbing a seat at the bar--the TVs are always on, there's plenty of energy in the room, and the conversation among patrons creates a welcoming, neighborhood feel. The service is prompt and attentive, and the food is consistently good every time I visit. While the menu is thoughtfully curated, it still offers enough variety that there's something for everyone. The drinks are always well-crafted and visually appealing, and the cocktail menu features plenty of flavorful options. Whether you're stopping in for a quick drink or settling in for the evening, it's a great place to relax and enjoy yourself.

We didn't have a reservation, but I would recommend you make one. We were seated at their walk way while we waited for a space at the bar. The host was engaging and funny during the wait. Nicely decorated space, the green feels luxe (I could be biased here). It's not a big space, though they did accommodate groups while on my visit. I'd do a casual date night/gno here. The music was good (mix of Caribbean and r&b while I was there) The music isn't too loud so you can have conversation while also not in others conversation. There wasn't a dj on this particular night, but they usually have one. We sat by the bar, enjoyed French toast and chicken, the lychee martini (more on the strong side, I prefer the sweetness of the lychee so I missed that. ) Mocktails were really tasty. Street parking only. There's a cvs next door with a parking lot and they will tow your car so don't get tempted. I'll definitely come back here.

I would say this is a good place for drinks and apps. I say that because each Entree we had was just ok nothing to rave about. My fiancé had steak and fries the fries were over seasoned and the steak under seasoned. They also didn't cook the steak properly and we sent it back twice. I got oxtail and mac and cheese. The oxtail were flavorful but the mac and cheese was way too greasy in my opinion. The drinks however ! Mixed well and strong. We also had wings which were good. The calamari was too chewy. The ambiance and servers are excellent! Very attentive and knowledgeable. The ambiance is cute but the space itself is relatively small so you will be close to other people. So if you hate that this may not be the spot for you.

Love the ambiance & decor of this place, not a big spot but just right for 2-3 friends or a cute date. Came here after the spa to grab a bite & a glass of wine.

Refreshing! This restaurant offered such a new vibe and environment! The ascetics are well done and adds to the overall look and feel of your entire experience! The DJ is STUNNING! We came here for a birthday and entire time he was very engaged with ensuring our birthday girl was happy and having a great time! Beyond the atmosphere, the staff and food were very good! The oxtail was my absolutely favorite. Highly recommend!

We came for brunch and when i tell you Andre and Marley made our afternoon! We were walk-ins on a busy Saturday afternoon with 15min wait which wasn't bad. The service was everything. Friendly, funny and most importantly attentive. I ordered the margarita flight. The best were the blueberry and cucumber margaritas. I had the honey garlic wings (chefs kiss) & oxtail mac. I will be back!!

Came here a second time and was disappointed. My sister found a piece of hair baked in her Mac and cheese and she immediately lost appetite. I brought it to the waiters attention and he dismissed it. My sister didn't even eat the rest of the mac and cheese so I was surprised I was still charged for the food. Also they charge you an automatic 20% gratuity regardless of the party size which is crazy.

I recently came here for a family dinner with my siblings, and we had such a great time. The vibe at 32 North was exactly what we were looking for. Great music, strong drinks, delicious food, and an energetic atmosphere that made for a really fun night out. The cocktails were fantastic and definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well-prepared, and arrived looking just as good as it tasted. From the wings and salmon to the French toast and short rib mac and cheese, every dish that hit our table was a winner. It's not often that a group orders this many different items and everyone walks away happy, but that was definitely the case here. Our waitress was awesome and took excellent care of us throughout the evening. She was friendly, attentive, and helped keep everything running smoothly despite how busy the restaurant was. The only downside was our interaction with the hostess, who came across a bit pushy. Thankfully, once we were seated, we didn't have to deal with her much and the rest of the staff more than made up for it. A couple of things worth noting before you visit: this is a relatively small space, so it fills up quickly and can get pretty crowded. They also enforce table time limits, especially during peak hours, and they are very strict about it when the restaurant is busy. If you're planning to catch up with friends or family for an extended period, just keep that in mind.

Michelle T.

This was my 2nd time here and both times were great. The first time was during brunch and my only complaint was that the music was way too loud for such a small spot, so it was very hard to hear each other talk at the table despite being so close. Well this time, they got it perfect. The music and vibe was still jumping but the volume was just right. Service was 10/10. We decided to sit at the bar and Andre B was our server/bartender and he was amazing! Very personable, made some great recommendations and even better cocktails. Another guy, I think is name was Jevonta (spelling subjective lol) was great too. He was having so much fun working and provided great customer service as well. Drinks: also 10/10. We started with the espresso martini and sidecar with dusse. They were made perfectly. We had 3 rounds of those before opting to try the lemon drop martini on the happy hour menu. Andre recommended a flavor and we opted for the passion fruit and it was soo good! I think we ended up doing 3 rounds of these. Cocktails average about $19. Happy hour drinks are $10 Food: we weren't really hungry, just wanted something to snack on. We wanted the oxtail quesadilla but they were out of it. I decided to have the Grilled chicken BLT and my friend went for breakfast (served all day) plain French toast, eggs, and turkey bacon. The French toast were huge, it came with three pieces she only made it through one. The grilled chicken BLT was really good and came with a side of fries which were hot and fresh and fried perfectly.

My husband and I went back to 32 North for a double date night with friends and to see how the dinner menu was, and we had such a great time! Friday nights are jumping with such an energetic atmosphere to listen to good music with some good food. It gets packed, so make sure to reserve your spot. The food was delicious and a huge perk is that they serve brunch ALL DAY !

Nigel A.

Hidden gem in Valley Stream. Parking is a bit tight, but we got lucky to find a place across the street. Street is quite busy, being on central at rush hour. We found two seats at the bar. The placed filled up quickly. Bartending service was great. Happy hour went until 7 pm, and the drinks were not watered down. I went for a Long Island ice tea.. Bartenders had good energy, making sure we enjoyed the experience. A DJ showed up and filled the room with some classics... I grabbed a burger and fries as we came for the drinks and it was pretty good. I would consider dropping by again.

The vibe in the place is amazing music was on point however the food and drinks were incredibly lackluster and the cost felt like I was just paying to support black owned rather than quality. When we got in and were seated we only had one set of silverware for a table of two and waited 6 mins after getting our food just to get silverware. We ordered the "Jerk Shrimp" and Grits ($22) and Creme Brulee French Toast ($16). To start we ordered our food and drinks at the same time but drinks came out 20 mins after we got the food (that was served in less than 5 mins) which made me think this was food that was prepped not freshly made. The Shrimp and Grits they were not Jerk Flavored at all and had little to no spice the gravy used was just ok but for the cost of the plate it was underwhelming to say the least. Now what disappointed me the most was the French Toast which 1. Was not Creme Brulee at all it had no caramelization. 2 For $16 was just 2 Slices of Toast that were DRY you could tell they were mass prepped in a warmer and not even soaked properly before cooking to give moisture to inside. 3 Plated so poorly with basic whipped cream and this is supposedly a Main Fish?!?!!. The drinks were not great but they are oversized which makes sense since they charge $16 for mainly Juice, Ice, & 1.5 shots of liquor. But was more than halfway through the food before getting our drinks which had us awkwardly sitting there discussing our disappointment and forced to drink these college bar level drinks due to us simply not wanting to waste money. All in all for the $120 bill I would definitely recommend someplace else that can actually give you better quality especially at this price point. read more

Legit a zero but have to give it at least a 1. After making a reservation they made our party wait an hour- giving us excuse after excuse why we weren't being seated. We asked for the manager and they never came out! The hostess left to go check on the table yet again and we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Be careful when making a reservation here because apparently it doesn't mean anything read more

I love this spot! The food is very tasty and the drinks are amazing!! I only have one gripe! The chicken that comes with the chicken and waffles are very cheap portions!! Looks like they cut up 1 chicken thigh when all other restaurants give 2 pieces of chicken white or dark, or chicken tenders. The price should reflect the amount of chicken you receive! Either an entire piece of chicken or lower the price. read more

So I seen this place advertised on TikTok And figured I would give it a try since Tuesday they offered all day happy hour special. I ordered wings and fries the wings were burnt and spicy which the menu never indicated how spicy it was and the fries were old and soggy, but I will say the decor is beautiful and the music was enjoyable and the bartender(Mark) was friendly energetic and just amazing at his job,Mark was the best part of my visit read more

Food was delicious until my friend looked down and noticed we were being attacked by ants. Once we noticed I stood up and shook my foot and ants were coming off my shoes. So we immediately asked for the bill that was $100 with gratuity included. No discount no free nothing just the full bill. No apology instead the waitress just asked if I got bit. Honestly I was just very disappointed. read more

My daughter and I came for a pre birthday brunch. The ambiance is lovely. Sophisticated and upscale decore. The wait staff were very attentive and helpful. Shandelle was on point with the recommendations. We had scrumptious honey garlic wings, which were slightly spicy and a bit sweet. Next some to die for strawberry shortcake french toast and red velvet waffles with chicken. We also sampled mac n cheese. The flavor just kept giving new flavors with each bite! We were stuffed and were provided with a nice to go bag to take our goodies home. The cool play list of r n b music added to the vibe! I will be a repeat customer for sure. read more

I had an absolutely amazing experience this establishment. It is nicely designed with velvet seating. I sat at the bar area although high top tables were available. I was greeted immediately by Shandell. The bartender was Andre. Everyone was friendly and worked well together. Now on to the food. The deviled eggs were ok. They were gently seasoned with a nice amount of crumbled bacon. I had the Bailey's chicken and waffles for my main and my friend had the jerk shrimp and grits. Both dishes were slamming! You could taste the Baileys without it being overpowering and the jerk shrimp had a nice kick without being so spicy that you can't enjoy the food. The grits were good too. We really enjoyed the strawberries and cream French toast. It's on the sweeter side, so if you're not into things that are overly sweet then this dish may not be your thing. The mac and cheese with oxtail was decent. The oxtail could have been more tender in my opinion. The drinks were tasty. I look forward to returning and trying other things. read more

I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Let me start by saying I had an awesome time at 32 North. A friend and I arrived just a few minutes after opening, and the place was already buzzing. Even without a reservation, we were lucky enough to be seated at the bar. The entrance was cozy, a pretty small and enclosed space; but once you step through the door, it opens up into a stylish, modern chic dining area. It's not a huge restaurant, but it definitely has charm. The bartenders greeted us warmly and asked if it was our first time there. They were incredibly welcoming, gave us all the time we needed to look over the menu, and happily answered any questions we had. The drinks were spot on; strong, tasty, and exactly what we were hoping for. The food took a little while to arrive, but when it did, it was a solid 8 out of 10. What really stood out, though, was the service. The bartenders were fantastic, especially Marley; funny, friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience memorable. I'd absolutely come back, just make sure to save me a seat at the bar. read more

This restaurant is incredible! First off, I have to mention how kind and patient the host was. I wish I had remembered to get her name. Despite not having a reservation, I told her it was my birthday, and she immediately said, "No worries, I'll get you seated right away." The only downside to the experience was the waiter she was extremely slow and often forgot our requests. If we asked for a drink, she would walk by and seem to forget about it, which was pretty frustrating. That being said, the food was absolutely perfect 10/10. I highly recommend this place! And let's not forget the DJ, who was amazing. He kept the party vibe alive and gave constant shoutouts to the birthday girls. Great music, awesome atmosphere, and unforgettable energy! read more

A Masterclass in Hospitality: Father's Day Brunch at 270 Post Restaurant…read more From the moment we stepped through the doors of 270 Post Restaurant in Westbury for their Father's Day brunch, we knew we were in for something extraordinary. This Haitian-owned gem didn't just host a meal; they curated a beautiful, unforgettable experience that perfectly honored the fathers in our lives. The Ambience "Hors Pair" The decor is simply hors pair unmatched and breathtaking. The restaurant strikes a flawless balance between contemporary elegance and welcoming warmth. Every corner feels intentionally designed, creating a sophisticated backdrop that elevates the entire dining experience. It is easily one of the most stunning spaces in the area. The Culinary Experience and a Show Stopping Dessert The food was nothing short of excellent. Every dish that arrived at our table was a triumph of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to absolute perfection. You can taste the passion and skill in every bite, blending high-end culinary execution with a soulfulness that kept us reaching for more. The true crown jewel of the meal came at the very end. We tried the Cognac Cake, introduced to us as Lionel's personal favorite, and it completely stole the show. rich, decadent and perfectly balanced, it left my palate absolutely hungry for more. it is an absolute must try that you will be thinking long after you leave. Impeccable Service & Heartfelt Hospitality What truly sets 270 Post Restaurant apart, however, is its service. The staff was impeccable, attentive, seamless, and deeply polite, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our needs were always met with a smile. The highlight of the afternoon was the unparalleled hospitality of the owner. In a beautiful, incredibly generous gesture that spoke volumes about their character, the owner personally gifted us a bottle of wine to celebrate the occasion. One plus is that there's parking available in the back, which is definitely convenient. The restaurant has an upscale vibe with beautiful décor and dim lighting that creates a nice atmosphere. There was music playing from a playlist, but no live DJ. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take any pictures since we arrived so close to closing. The food and drink menus were both fairly limited, and nothing really stood out to us, so we decided to order custom drinks instead. The drinks ended up being good. For food, we ordered the salmon entrée, seafood roti, and the jerk lamb chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus. One of my friends really enjoyed the salmon. I had the jerk lamb chops, which were flavorful and cooked well. The seafood roti was decent, but it tasted like a pretty standard roti--good, but nothing particularly memorable. One thing that wasn't too appealing is their hours. They open fairly late and close early, especially if you don't have a reservation, so your dining options can feel a bit limited. Overall, it's a nice spot with a great ambiance, convenient parking, and solid food. I may go back at some point to try a few other menu items, but I'm in no rush to return. The music in there was very old school and diverse for a great Mother's Day. My girlfriend and I will very much be back. Oxtail 10/10 Snapper 10/10 Blue Love 10/10 Mojito 1000/10 Overall 20/10! We opted for the bottomless brunch and it's truly bottomless, food and drink. You get 90mins bottomless mimosas and bottomless items from the brunch menu. We had two carafes of mimosas which aren't your typical oj and champagne, I think these mimosas have a oj and mango mix which tasted amazing! For food we had ackee and salt fish, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and jerk steak and eggs. Each and every dish tasted great 10s across the board.

Food is solid Jamaican fare. Oxtails are meaty and tender. With traditional rice and Peas, which could've used a likkle more love, as the rice was overcooked and not many peas. With gravy, almost mush but seasoned good tho. Appreciated the Steamed carrots. Needed more. Also, only came with 1 small broccoli stem. Plate was majority rice. Jerk Chicken is heavily browned, seasoned well but baked not grilled. If it is grilled, its a gas grill & no Pimento leaves, while also being buried in tons of sauce. Carrot cake was delicious. Light and not overly sweet. Golden raisins give a nice touch! Frosting is decadent but not cloying. Honestly, would give a 3.8 vs solid 4 but Service was exceptional and efficient. Overall, would definitely revisit. More for an intimate dining experience vs. large group.
