    Premium mariachi taco
    Wendy T.

Came across this place from a Facebook reel and I was craving for some Mexican food. We ordered takeout. It took over an hour of calling/being on hold to finally out our order in. This included ending and dialing back multiple times. My husband picked up the food so I'm not sure what the ambiance is like. We ordered a mariachi platter and premium mariachi tacos. The Mariachi platter comes with chicken enchiladas, chorizo taco, and shredded beef burrito. The premium Mariachi tacos comes with a choice of 3 tacos. We chose crispy avocado tacos, campechano and bistec a la mexicana. The portions were large. I wish the tortillas were toasted. Out of everything, I enjoyed the burrito the best. I'm uncertain about deep fried, breaded avocado. The rest of the tacos and enchiladas all had very similar profile flavours so I wasn't sure what I was eating. I'm not sure if I'll try it in person.

Came in on a Sunday evening early. Wasn't super busy so staff were attentive and came quickly to take our orders. Location wise, it's conveniently off the 404 in a plaza with ample parking. The decor is amazing and festively Mexico. Had their birria tacos - it was alright. It was done right but just not flavourful. I did request no garnish but that said, the meat wasn't flavourful. Had their single churro loop for dessert and it also fell flat for me. It was crispy on the outside but mush on the inside. Really not the consistency that I had hoped for. I was in the mood for churros so really the purpose of our visit. Overall, would probably attempt again but to try something else on their menu or perhaps come for their happy hour - signage in the door indicates Monday - Thursday from 2:30-5:30.

Mexican restaurants are far and few in my neck of the woods. I was looking for a spot where my fam could indulge in some tacos, enchiladas, pico de galol & chips. I came across the 3 Mariachis in Vaughan, via yours truly - Yelp. Vaughan is not exactly nearby, but I was ecstatic to discover that they had an Express location in Richmond Hill. Just a short (15 min) drive from Markham, this location was anything but Express! We were greeted very warmly once we arrived and given the option to sit anywhere we wanted to. We chose a nice cozy booth beside the window. I was amazed at the menu and number of options for an express eatery. This is what we shared/ordered: Small BMariachis Nachos $17 - Corn tortillas chips covered with Salsa Roja. blend of Monterey Jack, Mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Topped with serrano peppers and house made pico de gallo. The ingredients were super fresh including the salsa Roma and pico de gallo made in house. The cheese pull on these nachos was incredible and the toppings and cheese were very generous. *Add Beef/Chicken/Chorizo for $5. Large nachos is $22 Chicken Enchiladas $21 - Corn tortillas filled with the protein of your choice, salsRoma and an amazing blend of Monterey Jack, Mozzarella, and cheddar cheese. Baled to perfection this was served with side of Mexican rice and black beans. The flavours took me back to Mexico, seasoned just right! The other protein options are: Shredded Beef $21, Chorizo $20, Chicken $21, Steak $26. Or Veggies $19 (3) Steak Tacos $19 - Garnished with sauteed onions, and Mariachi Salsa. The meat was seasoned and grilled so beautifully. Tender, generous portions and if you do order this, add a squeeze of lime before diving in, you won't be disappointed! Kids Menu - $10 - Choice of soft or hard corn tortilla. Options are shredded beef or shredded chicken. Topped with three-blend cheese. served with chips and salsa roja or Mexican rice. My youngest had the chicken with hard shell, salsa roja and chips. Tacos were filled with well seasoned chicken, very generous portion for a kids meal. This item was a huge hit! Last but not least CHURROS! I will just say this, one of the best I have tried at a Mexican restaurant in Canada. The menu offers a vast variety of appetizers, soups, bowls, classic tacos and premium tacos, burritos and chimichangas. The ingredients are fresh and authentic. I did take away 1 star for the service. Our server wasn't familiar with some of the menu items to answer questions we had. We received water/drinks and our app quickly, but then, we were left without refills , napkins or anyone checking in until hubby had to get up near the end of our meal. It wasn't busy with only 1 other table of 2 nearby. The (2) young servers were just chatting away with each other and didn't bother to look over or check in to ask how our meal was or ask if we needed anything else. My next stop is their Vaughan location which is supposed to be larger and offer more menu options. I am hoping the service is better there, I am already craving tacos!

I came here for lunch on a Monday. Lots of tables and very comfortable seating. Very nice decor. I ordered 3 Tacos for $21, and you can mix and match from the classic taco menu. I got the fish, chicken, and steak taco. My favourite was definitely the steak, very big pieces of steak and very tender. The 3 tacos were very filling. Service was fast and our server was very nice. I would definitely come back and try the other dishes. My friends enjoyed their burritos.

I saw a lot of talks about this place. The interior is well designed, great ambiance. The portion size is big, great flavor, the spice was perfectly embedded in the meat. Very attentive staff, great service.

Came by after hearing some great things and thought it was meh. The place wasn't bad but it was all it was hyped up to be. First off our server seemed nice enough but wasn't sure why we weren't offered the booth seating compared to other people. Maybe I had to ask? It's wasn't a big deal until I also noticed how the table that came after us got their food first. Which is always amazing when they ordered after us. The food was hit and miss. Considering the price point I was expecting much higher quality. The place was nice and roomy. It was busy. We came in around 6 and people kept coming in. No lines but place was filled most of the time.

Probably one of my faves from here! Their birria tacos are a must try as well! Definitely recommend checking them out, they do get busy during peak times. But thankfully you can order out!

A hidden gem in Richmond Hill. My friend has recommended this Mexican spot for us and since it's uptown, we went to check it out and loved the decor, atmosphere, service & food. My fav was birria tacos and Quesabirria which came in huge portion! If it is your birthday, the staff will come to your table to sing happy birthday and also let you take a pic with their colorful and beautiful Mexican straw hat! We've came back few more times since our first visit months ago! Highly recommend! Follow me on instagram and TikTok at @eatntravelrepeat for more food adventures !

From the moment I stepped in I loved the booths. It was cosy and incredible hand painted mural. Excellent service, fair prices. Food was absolutely delicious and the bathroom was perfection with the toilet paper in a dispenser paper towels, & clean; something that has been hard to find in many restaurants who fail the basics! 3 Marinachi met every need and I was extremely happy eating here! I loved it so much that I had to try all three desserts and this is a photo of them! I ordered the fajitas, which were incredible, and my guest had the super rice bowl!

Finally getting around to trying this restaurant. I always thought it was a fast food take out place, however, it turns out to be a sit down restaurant. This is a causal place. We were told to take a seat anywhere so chose a booth. The seating was a little rough, could use reupholstering. We were quickly attended to and orders taken efficiently. Servings are generous. All meals came hot. Chimichanga with Chorizo: The wrap was nice and crisp yet tender. There was a good balance of meat to filling. It was not overstuffed with rice. Yum. Chicken enchiladas: the enchiladas were nice and cheesy. There was a generous amount of chicken. Delicious. This dish comes with rice and beans. The beans were cooked well and had a good flavour. There was also a small salad that was made with fresh ingredients and the dressing had a nice tang. Sour cream available in a little plastic takeout container. Service was friendly and attentive.

Came here as I've been wanting to check this place out in Richmond Hill. Ordered the 3 tacos (build your own stack) with shrimp, chicken and Birria. Honestly! Wow. Was pretty impressed with the portion and taco size. Loved the Birria, alongside with consommé. Flavourful, filling and a great way to ease your Mexican cravings in York region (as there's not many Mexican places around). I'm looking to come back to try some more tacos :) but would recommend!!!

Banana Chimichunga - perfect single portion dessert
    Anthony C.

A friend of mine suggested we try this Mexican place njear her place. When we walked in the restaurant looked lively and colourfully decorated. We ordered the Seafood Molajete, which was a large bowl of sizzling seafood that you can make your own tacos with. It was a generous serving plently for two people. Inside had grilled calamari rings, garlic shrimp, two oarms of octopus, mussles and cheese. The sauce it was in was actually pretty tasty. Price was $47.00 which was ok priced. For dessert, I ordered the Banana chimichunga. Which was a single serving of banana wrapped in a tortilla and deep fried, drizzled with dulce de leche and chocoate. It was just right and a good way to end the meal. There was plenty of parking and the restroom was clean and tide. I would come again to try the other dishes they have.

Food is good but not great. Prices a bit on the high side for the quality served. On the other hand service is quick and friendly.

The vibe inside is cozy and relaxed with a modern café-bistro feel. It's bright, welcoming, and definitely lives up to the name "Chillax." It feels like the kind of place you can sit and enjoy a slow brunch or a casual dinner without feeling rushed. For brunch, two dishes really stood out. The braised pork eggs Benedict was fantastic. The pork was tender and flavorful, and it paired perfectly with the creamy hollandaise and poached eggs. The gochujang fried chicken brioche burger was another highlight. The chicken was crispy with just the right amount of spice, and the soft brioche bun tied everything together. We also came back for dinner and tried the seafood paella, which was rich, comforting, and packed with seafood. It's definitely a great dish to share. For drinks, the cheesy mango ice matcha was surprisingly good. The mango adds sweetness while the cheese foam makes it creamy and indulgent. A really unique combination that works well. Prices are pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, with most dishes around the $20-$30 range. Overall, it's a great spot for brunch, dinner, or just drinks. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!
