Grillies cheeseburger combo with a fried egg on top
    Drew M.

Service is quick and easy, can order at the register on the touchscreen menu. I've lived in the area for a long time and never knew it existed until my buddy brought me. The burger was super delicious reminded me of a smash burger. Very limited seating about a handful of tables very relaxed environment. Everything tasted super fresh, definitely hit the spot after a gym sesh.

Before I can even try Grillies at the Markham location, a Richmond hill location magically popped up and replaced Big Boys burger. How convenient. It's also nice to know that there's a 24hr option nearby. The experience from the get go is that Grillies is a typical greasy spoon burger joint that does the job without any wow factor. The patty in the burger is a bit dry and they overdid the sauce a bit when you try to eat it; you really need a (catchment) to collect it all. The burrito and taco I'd say are better than the burger. Don't expect anything authentically Mexican here. I guess you can treat it more as a Tex-Mex burrito/taco. The texture and flavour of the beef is good. The chicken is a bit too sweet for my liking, but had area with burnt edges that made it tasty. You get a choice of soft or hard taco. They have a grand opening special that will last until the end of November where you can get tacos for $3, cheese burgers for $5 and burrito for $6. At peak lunch times, they are currently slammed. While I don't mind waiting for freshly made food, they really need to hire another pair of hands to make things go a lot faster than this. You really can't expect people to wait 20-25min for food at a joint like this. They also barely did any refurnishing to the place aside from changing the colour schemes of the walls if you care about that sort of thing. The floors are on the greasy and dirty side and the dining area is frigid. Not to mention that the taps in the washroom only gave cold water. Considering that their prices are on the cheap side, I guess the money's got to come from somewhere. I've been twice so far because of their deals, but I'm not sure that I would come here often going forward, unless I'm desperate for some grub in the wee hours of the morning. At this stage of my life, I'd say the likelihood of that is rather low. On a side note, they do have a daily deal

Incredible service, convenience and food all in all. It is open 24 hours with great portions of exceptional food, quite tasty. Nimrat on the grill

This location is one I started visiting because my usual one has been closed. I was hesitant to give it a try, because the other one got to know me - but this one didn't let me down. Always a friendly face with my order ready to go when I visit. My order has always been correct, as I order ahead through their app so I can collect points. This location has a few tables you can eat at, but I never really find eating in these places appealing - maybe it's just in the winter since it gets cold. I'm happy this location was here to serve my Freshii desires - they come weekly so I need to get my fix!

I shared a Mediterranean bowl with falafel, Buddha bowl with chicken, and Oaxaca bowl with steak between 3 people. You can choose to get your freshii order in a bowl or burrito, though the bowl is about $1 higher in price. You can also mix and match the ingredients in the bowl with your protein of choice for an additional $3-4 (and there's a bunch to choose from: chicken, steak, tofu, falafel and hard-boiled eggs). Overall, each of our bowls came to about $11-14, which was reasonable for their good portions. Mediterranean bowl with falafel (4/5): The falafel was delicious! This bowl had a quinoa base with almonds, field greens, tomatoes, cilantro, and red pepper sauce. I'm not sure if the sauce just wasn't included in our order or if their red pepper sauce is actually really mild, but I couldn't taste it with all the ingredients. Buddha bowl with chicken (4.5/5): A really nice combination of cold broccoli, carrots, cabbage, roasted chicken and other veggies on top and hot, delicious rice noodles at the bottom. The peanut butter sauce is also pretty good, but you can request to get in on the side if you want. Oaxaca bowl with steak (5/5): This was my personal favourite! There is a spicy yogurt sauce on top of black bean paste, brown rice, kale and avocado that tastes amazing. A definite must-try!

So I'm glad that I did not miss out!! Ordered: 1.lamb stew was so good. meat was tender. flavorful. i even mixed the broth/juice from the stew into the rice...nothing go to waste! the rice itself is yummy. the top part of the rice: some part is 'crackling/crispy' and some part has grilled bread/pita? i dont like crackling rice in general (i.e. me not liking it has nothing to do with how the restaurant cook it), but the grilled pita give nice crispiness/textures when biting the rice. it also comes with salad (normal salad). i ask for half rice and half salad, but when it was served, they didnt look like half at all. maybe next time will order quarter size.lol 2. shishlik (lamb chop) on the side...around 5-6 pieces. meat also tender and flavorful. just the right balance. Provided for free: 1. bread with cream cheese+ some green leafy+walnut on the side. Friend said bread is house made and she showed me how to eat the bread. take piece of bread, add cream cheese on top, add green leafy on top, add walnut on top. Omg!! it's soooooooo good. I'm not a bread person or cheese person. I dont eat leafy green raw like that (dont even know what is that green thing). The cream cheese is also bit different (theres bit of greenish mixed on it). The walnut give nice crunchiness (like 'uummpphh'). Overall, very satisfy with my foodie experience. Prompt service! Would love to go back and try other menu.

I asked and I was told it's the same chef. Extremely disappointed

Firstly the Reuben had a very nice flavour profile with the sauce and the sauerkraut But The smoked meat tasted bland and it was too soft. Which was confirmed in the smoked meat poutine I had for takeout. The smoked meat seemed borderline raw and too soft. There was no bark or crust on the edges. Too bad. Service was attentive though. The jarritos drink in a glass bottle was a nice touch But Not enough for a return visit from me though 3 stars is more than enough. Maybe lower 2 point something with a roundup.

But most people come for the deli sandwiches. There's a good selection of meats, sizes, types of bread and condiments. I got the Montreal smoked meat on an onion bun with french fries. It was big enough that I took half of it home. The taste was excellent. The french fries were just the right crunchiness. There are long wooden tables with stools that can accommodate large groups. There are also booths and regular tables. The décor is unique, with lots of old black and white framed photos on the walls and old-fashioned fuel pumps. The service was very good. The strip mall has plenty of parking available.
