Omg HEART EYES for this place. Run - don't walk. This place is incredible!!! We had the lavender haze drink to start and just MMM chefs kiss to this gin/lavender drink. I had the Al Capone grilled chicken sandwich and it was so yummy! My husband had the Mac burger (think Big Mac without the sub-par ingredients) and it was also amazing!!! We had the pimento bites and curly fries too - unreal. This place is so, so great! The staff was super kind and patient with our toddler and their kids menu was perfect for him. Will be back soon!!

Popular burger joint in downtown New Market just steps From the ice rink. Known for their burgers and beers, I opted to try their GBB smash which is among the popular. Excellent choice as it was juicy and tender. Even though it came with a slide of fries, I also stole some sweet potato fries off my wife. Overall, the place is fun and bustling during peak dinner and weekend.

I sometimes wonder how many burgers I've eaten over the years. Let's take a guess and say it's a burger a week for the last 50 years. That's 2600 burgers so no stretch to say I'm somewhat of a burger expert. I'm also from the US so I'm accustomed to getting my burgers cooked to my liking, something that's a bit rare (pun intended) for a burger in Canada. GBB grinds their own beef and can cook it up anyway you want. It's very tasty beef topped with any number of crazy toppings. Deep fried Brie anyone? And a long list of buns: pretzel, potato, you name it they have it! I've eaten at the bar quite a few times and it's great to chat up the staff and sample some local craft beers. This most recent visit was a spectacular Sunday afternoon and I chose the patio under the umbrellas by a stream. Super cool ambiance: When you're here, skip the regular fries and indulge in the sweet potato wedges. That's not really my thing but they are shockingly good. GBB is as good as it gets in the land of burgers, check this one out for sure!

Nice space - inside is a bit dark but the patio has a nice view of the water. Had the Dip burger (because I love a beef dip) to go (patio was full and I wanted to sit outside) which was good if not a bit rich - order it with some lettuce and tomato and it'll be fine. Fries were okay but should have been double fried. Dip was a nice balance between a jus and a gravy. I'd come here again!

YUM! The funny thing is, during COVID19, many of these restaurants nearby have limited their menu and seating. So we had walked around and sat at two other spots along the main street, only to find nothing we wanted to eat was on the menu. Attracted by the sounds of splashing and fun, we wandered down to find this place was open and bustling in the patio! We were quickly seated and served. I ordered fried pickles which were so good. They hit the spot. Not too bready, not too wet. My boyfriend got the chicken burger which reminds me a bit of the one I had in Miami a few years ago. It was SO yummy and there was a good kick to it with those pickled jalapeños. I ended up ordering the lamb burger which I thought was just heaven. Perfectly cooked, moist (sorry had to say it), saucy, with all the right savoury, sweet, cheesy goodness that I like. And I do not usually like burgers. I ordered their garden salad which is your usual looking greens but they add cucumbers, radish, tomatoes, and chickpeas. I thought it was really quite refreshing. My boyfriend got the sweet potato fries which were also really good. Well seasoned and a decent portion of everything. We actually got rained on pretty hard, but luckily those umbrellas held up. The poor staff had to run around in the rain to serve all the tables since no one can sit inside yet. I felt so bad for them :( They were really positive and cheerful though and just made light of what could have been a miserable night. I love their spirit and kind smiles. 100% would return.

Burgers were very good. We were very skeptical of the pineapple in the burger, but it was delicious. Despite how delicious the burgers were, I felt the curly fries were a bit of a letdown as it was not very curly. The service was scarce as they focused more on the patrons on the patio than indoors. Burgers were slightly pricey as well despite it being very delicious. The milkshakes and the deep fried oreos are very good as well. I would recommend the place, but consider the price as well.

A really great burger.. Good opportunity to pick and choose just about everything. Excellent fries.

I visited on Valentine's Day which fell on a Friday this year. Was surprised by how many people were here on a weekday for lunch! I also think there was a mini party going on in the far side of the restaurant but my guest and I were seated closer to the entrance area. My guest ordered the BEYOND THE HILLS which they mistakenly didn't know know a beyond meat party. Needless to say, they didn't realize! So I think they did a good job with that. For myself, I ordered the FRENCH ONION MAC N' CHEESE which was very filling due to its creaminess! There was about 3 cups of this good stuff served on a hot skillet. I also ordered their CRAZY SHAKE, in the OREO flavor. This was heavenly! There was just enough Oreo blended into the beverage to make it the perfect consistency. I also love a good ice cream sandwich so the one topping the drink was tasty and made the drink look epic! For $10, it was a little pricey but it was so delicious that I justified it in my mind.

A perfect team lunch @ a casual and unique dining venue. A notch above picnic style benches, if you reserve for a group of 8 you might end up in one of these cozy tables. One mural on the wall which caught my eye was that of the resto along Main Street with an actual street light that transcends the art itself (see pic). Really neat style and visual. The service was good, I would recommend asking if anyone else at the table would like a water, as the burgers (at least mine) seemed to be loaded with sodium, but I of course could have asked. The GBB comes with choice of bun I had multigrain, and it was a tasty and fresh bite with a side of fries. Relatively good value at $16.99, paired with pint of Beaus for an additional $7.50. Of note, and I mentioned this in a previously review, you actually pay HST on the 18% automatic gratuity for the group. I feel that that play is a bit incongruous and lands you with paying a tax on the forced gratuity. I mean, the service was adequate but to pay an additional tax? Does the government ask for a HST on tip? Maybe someone can let me know. Overall, a good venue for lunch, a great location. Good, fun food. Maybe for 18% you can give us all a water next time :) -Zuk

Had the El Fuego burger on a pretzel bun with a side of poutine and a peanut butter milkshake. The burger was great! Perfectly spiced with a strip of bacon and a mango coleslaw. Compared to that the poutine was alright. A little different as the gravy was a bit thicker than what I'm used to but still good. Overall good meal, that cost about $35.

This spot in Downtown Newmarket is a classic place to try burgers! They have amazing sides... I suggest the sweet potato fries as they're perfectly sliced and seasoned wedges they were voted as the best burgers in York Region for a reason Smash Mac- Imagine two beef patties SMASHED with your classic cheddar, lettuce, onion, house mac sauce, pickles, served on sesame seed milk bun. This burger is a classic rendition to your classic American burger. [7/10] The Dip- this beef patty came with swiss cheese, horseradish aioli, onion straws, sautéed mushrooms. What was unique is that it was served with a side of au jus to DIP the entire burger. [8/10] El Fuego- Looking for something to KICK you taste buds? This burger was spiced maple candied bacon, scotch bonnet mango salsa, jalapeño havarti, fire roasted red pepper aioli. I thought it would be super spicy but it was quite the balance of flavours. [8.5/10] Waygu - nothing really unique about this burger. I expected a juicer burger considering it was waygu but I feel that you can get any burger at this restaurant which would produce the same quality! [7/10]

I love a good meaty burger so I was looking forward to trying this place while attending the Newmarket Music Festival. It's a very charming and rustic place, with lots of exposed brick and aged wood creating a nice ambiance. It looks like they have a patio on the side but it was closed due to the weather. With lots of taps and cocktails to choose from, we started with mojitos, a classic for me and strawberry for my friend. It was okay but could have used a half a squirt more of simple syrup for my taste. I ordered the GBB Burger (Beef patty, New York red onion sauce, miso mustard, old cheddar) on multigrain bun and my friend customized her burger from the Build-a-Burger menu. It was a good burger, juicy with good flavour, and the fries were crispy. As much as I liked it though, my friend's custom burger looked so good. I may have to go that route next time. Nice ambiance, good food, good service made it a good experience. I'd go back.

I think if a man took me here, I would immediately husband him. This place is cute, romantic and food-coma-ish at the same time. The wood fixtures and beautiful Hollywood-esque lights with the beautiful insta-worthy sign on the patio wall makes this place the perfect date night that will still make you the fullest person ever. Lots of burgers and vegetarian choices here. There are many different burgers with chicken, veal (fancy), beef and veggie (chick pea or mushrooms etc). Let's just say I've never been so damn full from a fucking veggie burger. The sweet potato fries that it came with were also massive - they were the best I've ever had! Also each burger is recommended with a cider or beer, and the apple somersby I paired mine with gave it the perfect aftertaste. Ugh, too good. I got my burger on a pretzel bun and when I had it, it was heaven on earth. Only one piece of advice - don't get any other bun. I'm not usually a fan of burgers at all but this place really stole my heart.

They have BBQ now?!?! What a game changer. So the burgers here are awesome such unique flavours. I…read moredo slightly prefer Ground Burger for burgers but this place is still super up there. And now they have climbed the ranking as they have added one of my favourites BBQ! Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. This was an anniversary dinner that we had at home and it was super awesome. Highlights for me were the mac and cheese (daaayumm) and the jalapeno cornbread. I'm not going to lie, that was the best cornbread I've ever had. And I've been to Nashville. A great little kick and the overall taste is out of this world. I think they may have forgotten the beans but all good. I'm just sad I didn't order more cornbread. The brisket was also great. Order it all!

The accompanying fries were good. They were heartily fried. Tower o rings was good, with crispy breaded rings (not battered) that stayed crispy for really long. That said, it was rather pricey for what was ultimately just onion rings. I suppose when you have it there, since it's presumably actually served as a tower it looks more impressive. W sauce is a creamy sauce. Beechhouse was creamy with some texture (I like that it was labelled so one could distinguish it from the W sauce). Sweet n Tangy was good - slighty spicy.

Came here with a large group of mom's for a mom's night out and we had a fabulous time! Our server,…read moreyoung guy with a mullet, was amazing, made sure we were all taken care of and dealt with a group with so much ease and professionalism. I ordered a peach/ginger drink and it was strong but really tasty, highly recommend! A few non-drinking ladies were given great recommendations for virgin cocktails! The food was also really good, most people got burgers which looked really good. I got the duck pizza which was really tasty but the crust could use work, it was a bit too crunchy and flat, I'm not sure what style I would call it but I prefer either a lightly crisp crust with a chewy bite or a fluffy crust, this was neither. I am a bit snobby when it comes to pizza so I'm definitely particular but the toppings were really unique and tasted yummy! Next time I'll go for a burger for sure. The service was excellent, I had made special arrangements to bring in a group of 16 people, and, being moms to young babies, some of us showed up later/earlier, some left earlier/later and we all had separate bills, so I know it wasn't the easiest to manage but our server honestly nailed it. We all had our drinks done perfectly, food came out all at the same time, nothing was missed, and he was soo genuine and friendly. We really had such a nice time! Thanks so much HBH for making our night out so fun!!
