Great chicken and Excellent Service, kind staff and good food makes this an amazing end friendly spot to eat at. Would recommend

Last Wednesday, I had completed my usual stops at ZeeV's Nutrition Studio and Circle K after work. I love how they are a block away from each other, which makes my run easy. I found out that Harvey's has a deal with its original beef and veggie burgers. You can get two for $8. If you want to mix and match them, it all works. I had no idea where the nearest Harvey's was from the borders of Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham. I did a search and realized that there's this one further south on Victoria Park, before you hit highway 401. It's funny. I have blown past this location many times. I've never stopped by. I also knew that there was an Chinese grocery store in the same plaza. Here's to another cool stop at two stores that I needed. The drive down was smooth. It took perhaps ten minutes. I had to make a left turn into the plaza. It took a bit of time, but I eventually made a safe turn. I did grocery shopping first. I had backed into a spot that directly faced the drive-thru, steps away from the grocery store's entrance. When I was done, I simply drove straight ahead to place my order at the drive-thru. I had a nice woman on the other end taking my order. I ordered two original beef burgers. I went with my standard toppings on both: lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and relish. She was so friendly. There was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind. This Harvey's is also a Swiss Chalet. Excellent! I was drooling looking at the poutine on the menu. I love poutine. Harvey's does poutine well. I paid with a debit card. The woman had the payment machine taped to a hockey stick. Love! The transaction was smooth. I wonder if that hockey stick is ever used on deadbeat customers who don't pay. Hmm... I got my food in a paper bag. I thanked her and left. When I got home, I had my food. I loved the original burger. It was the right size. The flame-broiled beef patty was yummy. The toppings were perfect. I was a bit rusty and realized that my usual mayo is garlic mayo. These burgers hit the spot for dinner. The next day, I returned for the same deal. Yep, I was back less than 24 hours later. Instead, I got original and veggie burgers. With the latter, you have the option of getting a regular or multigrain bun. I had never had the multigrain bun before, so I chose it. The veggie burger is pretty good here. It tastes like a regular beef patty. It wasn't dry. It had good flavour. I'd do it again. The multigrain bun made me feel like I was eating healthier... haha! I went with garlic mayo, along with lettuce, tomatoes, and relish. Both burgers tasted much better. Garlic is everything. I dig this Harvey's. I need to get poutine next time, but I keep dreaming about this burger deal. Maybe when it's gone, I'll get the poutine. The woman who took my order during my second visit as equally as pleasant and nice as the woman from the previous night. Staff are awesome. I appreciated it. I'll be back. I used to frequent this location as of the writing of this review. It is a substandard Harveys but it is very convenient to my home and drive from work. Review as compared to other Harveys: my main consumption is the burgers. These are frequently undercooked and some times overcooked at a level of being wrong of approximately 40% of the time. Most Harveys I have been to usually get it correct more than 90% of the time. Somehow the patties from this location end up greasier than most other Harveys(not sure how this is possible, perhaps their cleaning is below other Harveys standards) As the drive thru is my main experience with Harveys, I can say that Harveys is the slowest amongst fast food drive thru chains, but mostly likely because they offer a customized burger. I am a tradesman and I travel around southern Ontario, so as a result I have eaten at many different Harveys. The Scarborough-Milner location is by far the slowest Harveys drive through I have frequented as one can conservatively factor minimum of 5 minutes per vehicle all the way up to 18 minutes on one unfortunate day. As for the customer service, while most of the employees are perfectly lovely, the manager seems quite a nasty individual! Most of these draw backs on this particularly substandard Harveys were deemed acceptable due to the convenience factor. During my final encounter with this store, I ordered the same thing I have ordered for the last year and a half at a cost of $15 and some change(so I was told at the window). I then invested 12minutes of my time (despite there being only 2 cars in front of me and in each car only a single person who each received a single small bag of food). I preceded to the payment window only to be confronted by a different person then I ordered with who informed me that she was the manager and that the new price was $37 and change. She had on aires of someone who has caught a criminal red handed. She said that everyone at her store has been charging me incorrectly for the last year and a half. She said that every other Harveys in the city has been charging me incorrectly. The passive-aggressive hostility coming from this manager was extremely high as I was made to feel as if I had done something wrong. I certainly didnt like a valued customer, I felt as a thief. As to her waisting my 12 minutes in the drive thru on a quote of $15 only to have the price jacked-up 240%, she didnt seem to care in the least. I only go to this location for a quick affordable meal on the way home from work to take my son to his little league game. I guess she must not want my business, and she will get her wish. This has been the final straw. I will certainly never go to this location again and Harvey's may have lost a life long customer read more

Stopped by to take advantage of the current late night 3.99 poutine/ drink special. The lineup was short but being freshly prepared, expect a little wait. The staff were super friendly and the line does move very fast. The best part is the poutine was piping hot with real squeaky cheese curds and gravy to mix together into a great late night Canadian classic snack box... Will definitely be trying out the Jr Burger combo for same price... but in my mind, in the cooler weather nothing will top a fresh hot poutine read more

Poor drive thru service. Not sure if its because they share space with Swiss Chalet, Understaffed or just careless. The only reason I stop there it's because that's the closest one to my home.. Waiting time at the drive thru can easily become to 10-15 mins wait, and even then they manage to screw up the orders.. Today, after waiting for about 10 mins, I ordered 2 large fries, got home to discover it was 2 regular size fries(not first time).. If you choose to stop at this location, be sure to check your order before driving away!!! read more

Harvey's hamburgers off the grill is a unique taste compared to burgers from other restaurants. The best part of your burger experience is that you get to build it to your own taste! I like 6 pickles on the side Depending on the day, I will also change my fries to rings...or have both. Everyday Value menu is great if you just want a light snack, like me today. The best again! I haven't been to Swiss Chalet in a while but as far as burgers go Harvey's once again crushes Wendys or McDonalds and is Canada's best burger joint. I mean this chain is a winner for Cara or whatever they call themselves today. Anyway, red onion and free extra peppers on top FTW and also, goood service. read more

I think this place underwent some renovation. The decor is really nice and clean, except that I saw some food wraps and empty cups on the table. I know, I know, it's the customers problem.. Sigh. Service is faster and friendlier than their Bayview location. I think they do a better job of controlling the lineup here. Food is standard and tasty enough. Made the mistake of falling for the Raptors sales promotion to get a free burger by downloading the Harvey's app. After downloading the app, as suggested by an email, there were no clear instructions on how to go about securing the free Burger, so I proceeded, phone in hand to the drive-thru only to be informed that the free Burger could only be secured by walking inside. So after waiting eight or nine minutes in the Drive-Thru line for the cars in front of me to clear so I could go park and go inside, I discovered that there's about 20 people standing inside, looking very sour, waiting for free burgers. One of my grumpy linemates rolls his eyes and says "I think they're making them one at a time to push us to go home, instead of waiting forever for a crappy free Burger." I wait a few minutes, and see nobody in line get a burger, so I quickly decide that my time and my sunny disposition we're worth more than a $5 Burger, so I went across the street to Wendy's for something "hot and juicy" instead. Shame on you Harvey's for such a lousy promotional trick, and shame on me for once again falling for a ridiculous fake promotion from the consistent #1 worst restaurant company in Canada, Cara Foods. read more

This Harvey's is on the way home from work, so whenever I am craving for a veggie burger, I make sure I get it here, from Harvey's. They are known for one of the best veggie burger options in the GTA, and it is true, their veggie burgers are awesome! Whenever I come here, it's always busy, no matter what time of the day, and I am surprised there wasn't much reviews of this place. Service is still very quick despite the volume of orders, and quality is consistent. There was just one time I remember ordering the veggie burger and I forgot to say white bun, and I believe they always defaulted to the white bun, but this time, I got a whole wheat one, which I don't prefer. I have made a note to myself to always specify white bun when I order the veggie burger. Over-all, I would keep coming back whenever I crave for veggie burgers. read more

I don't really write about fast food restaurants, but I enjoy the layout of this restaurant. There are booths in the middle of the restaurant, the menu has both Swiss chalet and Harvey's on the take out side. They have monthly coupons which make it a pretty good deal. Had the 1/4 pound Angus burger combo for 6.49. You get to dress your own burger, but I found they use different ingredients than other Harvey's. Their lettuce is one piece (not shredded like others), they use red onions thinly sliced, and they have cucumber! Made my burger that much more awesome, and the service is quite friendly and efficient. Restaurant is clean. We upgraded our fries from the combo with frings (onion rings and fries), it's 2 separate compartments, so you don't get less, and awesome for variety!! And they filled it to the top. read more

So organized and didn't miss a thing .. I was in awe watching them work! we were in and out within 20 minutes! I would highly recommend this harveys location . The food was hot and tasty! Don't bother doing a drive through. Every single time we've been here the drive through seems to take twice the time it would take to get out of your car and walk in. Although I've never walked in so maybe the service is ridiculously SLOW no matter which way you order. Updating to 3-Star since almost immediately after my review was posted, someone from the business reached out to discuss my concerns. I'm assuming they want to address the issue so kudos for that. And the Poutine was phenomenal!!! read more

This is one of my favourite hang outs. They have a pretty good crew here. I have experienced nothing but the best service even when they are very busy. The burger you get is nice and hot and made to order. As expected with Harvey's, you can select your sides with no hassles. read more

I don't usually review fast food restaurants, but I really gotta hand it to this particular Harvey's restaurant, they do a really good job! Service is fast and friendly, burger assembly is as per customer's request so some wait in line is understandable. But overall their staff are what impress me the most. What I see are a group of ambitious young ones showing efficiency behind the counter. There is one passionate staff we used to see working the sandwich bar who sings on his job! It is a well-led team who, at the end of the day, make it all work :) Their sit-in area gets busy at times, since it is a busy bus stop area, and the place can get a bit messy. Their clean-up can get a little behind, bare with them! But once you find a place to sit and bite into your burger.. or munch on those Swiss Chalet fries, you forget about the bad stuff that's around. Not many Harvey's in the city, but I'm glad this one's here and getting a lot of business. It's a happenin' place! read more

I am a burger lover, and I visit burger places just to check how they are. I had one with a double patty and it was really a drag to finish it, tasteless, had to put ketchup to bring taste to it. The place looked a bit dirty, the garbage bin came off when i was there so garbage was scattered on the floor. Not recommended if you are looking for a good burger, i would suggest going to Johnnys which is right beside it. read more
