We ordered "Lucy Juicy Burger" with fries. The beef patty was tender and juicy and perfectly grilled. The melted cheese inside the patty was a great addition. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Parking wouldn't be an issue as this place is located inside Fairview Mall and park spots are abundant.

The location is located inside of Fairview Mall on the first floor. The store front is huge and there's a lot of seating. Ordered on the self serve system and waited for the food which came out pretty quickly. Opted for the signature beef burger which comes with beef brisket slow cooked with 32 natural spices served on a crispy bun. This was good and fresh. Also go the wonton with chili oil sauce. You have the options of picking the protein of choice for your wontons of either shrimp, pork or chicken. This was a nice savoury item that isn't too spicy even though the chili oil looks like a deep red colour. Overall, the food here is fast food, and it's good for what it is!

There is a kiosk inside that you can order yourself and the ambiance was nothing special but was comfortable enough. I got the Shrimp Wonton Noodles for $8.99 and their Signature Pork Crispy Burger for $5.99. Although, I wasn't expecting much to begin with, the shrimp wonton noodles was still disappointing. The wonton was tiny! It only had a small piece of shrimp in it. The noodles was decent with a "bouncy"/"QQ" texture. The soup was flavorful and didn't taste like it had MSG which was surprising. The Signature Pork was pretty good. The shell was crispy and very flaky. It was packed with meat and was very flavorful. Not a bad place for a cheap lunch. I would skip the wonton noodles though.

The guy serving us was probably the owner because he was friendly and knowledgeable, he let me try the sauces I was questioning about. This place is a definite must-try. The place has a few spots to eat, and the decor is beyond adorable and fitting. I couldn't get enough of the potato puns. The gentleman was incredibly nice in explaining what the top favs were and was even nice to allow me to add an ingredient, as one of my spuds had something removed (no coleslaw for me). My order consisted of Mexican Fiesta and Nashville Chick. My husband took his Mexican fiesta potato as is, but I ended up switching my pulled chicken for fried chicken. The potatoes were amazing! The base potato was so flavourful and not bland at all, evenly seasoned on its own without the toppings. The toppers were delicious and went well with the spud. It hasn't even been a week, and I'm already jonesing for my next potato bar experience.

It took two people fifteen minutes to make it. - Communication to the customer on how long it would take for my order to be ready wasn't stellar. On Wednesday night, after driving home from Mississauga, I felt like a milkshake. Where should I get one? I remembered that the Boardwalk Fries Burgers Shake location in Scarborough that I had visited months ago offered milkshakes. I also remembered this Boardwalk location in Markham. It used to be South St. Burger. Markham used to have two locations. It now has zero, which is a downer. I came here at nearly 9 pm. There were lots of parking spots. I pulled into one and entered the store. The Boardwalk is a combo store with Lava Grill. There is one entrance for both eateries. I walked in. There was a couple enjoying a meal. I was the only person at the order area, which is shared between the two eateries. It took a while for the man at Boardwalk to come over. He was making burgers. I ordered these items: - Strawberry shake without whipped cream - Dubai chocolate brownie I paid with a credit card. Done. Communication is an issue here. This man continued making burgers and fries. He didn't let me know how long it would take to make my order. I wasn't in a rush, but I didn't know that it would take fifteen minutes for two folks to try and make my milkshake. I did like that the press for the burgers automatically came down on the patties and had a timer. I also watched fries go into hot oil and the basket automatically come up once the fries were done. It was also on a timer. I noticed that burger man got Lava guy to make my shake. They both went into the back. Burger man came back to assemble the burgers. Lava guy was still in the back. My guess was that there was some issue making my shake. Again, I got no communication until Lava guy came out to look at my order and told me it would be two minutes. Um, sure. I didn't believe it. I was right. I decided to sit down. Burger guy had finished making the burgers. He went outside. He came back in. His first communication to me was two fingers up in the area. Two minutes or victory?! Five minutes later, I saw a shake come out from the back. Lava guy was holding it. Lava guy took a box with a brownie and packed it in a paper bag. I got a napkin, a fork, and a spoon. He handed me a pretty strawberry shake and my paper bag. I thanked both guys, more relieved than anything, and left. I got into my car and drove home. Despite the wait and the lack of decent communication, the two items that I had were excellent. The strawberry milkshake was yummy. I loved the strawberry flavour. It was creamy and enjoyable. I had the Dubai chocolate brownie yesterday. It was so good. I loved the crispy bits with pistachio cream and a delectable, moist brownie layer. Yum! I'm thinking that ordering online and coming here to pick up my order would be best. This place seems to take its time because it seems to be on its own time. Boardwalk has happy hour deals at night. I may give it a try next time. Here's hoping that communication is better. (190)

So we saw this location on our way home and figured we'd stop by for a try. We ordered the Firehouse Hero and the Brisket and Cheddar sandwich. I was really happy with both sandwiches. There was a lot stuffed in there and the sauces are fantastic. I really liked the smoked, honey ham and the salty pastrami. The Firehouse Hero was a bit of a basic sandwich, but it tasted great and that's a pretty decent measure of the rest of their menu. Their brisket was amazing with their sweet and smokey bbq sauce. The full size sandwich was perfect for my bf whereas I only finished about half. I saved the rest for the next day and even as cold left overs, it tasted great. The bread didn't get too soggy either. Sadly, they didn't give us extra of the grainy firehouse mustard. He gave us 2 packs of a different brand I didn't recognize. It tasted fine but I miss the grainy mustard they use to serve on the side. Service was pretty quick. They've got a few small tables set up here but it looks like people mostly grab and go. I liked the firehouse decor and they have some great fundraisers going on to support fire fighters too. I really liked seeing all that. Oh bonus for hot sauce lovers: They did have a HUGE selection of hot sauces you can pick up. And there's a hot sauce station where you can pour some hot sauces to go and give them a try. They've got them labelled so you know which ones are more mild and which ones are hotter. I really liked their Captain Sorensen's hot sauce (which looks like a bbq sauce). It was labeled as mildest and did have a very light spice to it. It was mostly sweet. I loved the Fat Cat bourbon hot sauce which is another sweet one using peaches and bourbon. Those both went great with the sandwiches. Next time I might pick up a bottle.

Even though the location at the Promenade Mall exceeds this horrible location by 100 times. I came here to this location in York Mills Rd expecting a decent sub and some decent service. That's not expecting much But On this occasion, I entered and the one Indian lady about 20 something years old immediately put me off. She took my order rather curtly and asked my name forcefully. I mean I am the only customer in there. I waited my 4-5 minutes paying no mind. Then She proceeded to just plop my sandwich on the counter and literally screamed my name and then walked to the back. I'm sorry but this order is for take out I said can I have a bag. She saids she doesn't have big bags with handles. This is not my first rodeo here and she plops a small sandwich bag on the counter with absolutely no customer service like bagging it for me and then walks off again. That's when I see a uber order with a said bag with handle sitting there I mean, I like their sandwiches but service and a remotely polite service is important too. I definitely strongly recommend to stay away from this location. And I am debating on going to any location again as this represents not only their name and location but the franchise reputation as a whole.

They didn't ask me whether I wanted dine-in or takeout. They just assumed takeout so they gave me a plastic bag. I thought stores are no longer allowed to give out plastic bags. If you are dining in, you get a tray. I bought my food at 20:10. At 20:30 (30 mins before they close), they suddenly had an end-of-day sale for $6.99. These dishes were 1 protein + 1 vegetable + rice/normal, selling for $10.45 normally. I could have saved some money had I known!
