I found out that Harvey's has a deal with its original beef and veggie burgers. You can get two for $8. If you want to mix and match them, it all works. I had no idea where the nearest Harvey's was from the borders of Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham. I did a search and realized that there's this one further south on Victoria Park, before you hit highway 401. It's funny. I have blown past this location many times. I've never stopped by. I also knew that there was an Chinese grocery store in the same plaza. Here's to another cool stop at two stores that I needed. The drive down was smooth. It took perhaps ten minutes. I had to make a left turn into the plaza. It took a bit of time, but I eventually made a safe turn. I did grocery shopping first. I had backed into a spot that directly faced the drive-thru, steps away from the grocery store's entrance. When I was done, I simply drove straight ahead to place my order at the drive-thru. I had a nice woman on the other end taking my order. I ordered two original beef burgers. I went with my standard toppings on both: lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and relish. She was so friendly. There was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind. This Harvey's is also a Swiss Chalet. Excellent! I was drooling looking at the poutine on the menu. I love poutine. Harvey's does poutine well. I paid with a debit card. The woman had the payment machine taped to a hockey stick. Love! The transaction was smooth. I wonder if that hockey stick is ever used on deadbeat customers who don't pay. Hmm... I got my food in a paper bag. I thanked her and left. When I got home, I had my food. I loved the original burger. It was the right size. The flame-broiled beef patty was yummy. The toppings were perfect. I was a bit rusty and realized that my usual mayo is garlic mayo. These burgers hit the spot for dinner. The next day, I returned for the same deal. Yep, I was back less than 24 hours later. Instead, I got original and veggie burgers. With the latter, you have the option of getting a regular or multigrain bun. I had never had the multigrain bun before, so I chose it. The veggie burger is pretty good here. It tastes like a regular beef patty. It wasn't dry. It had good flavour. I'd do it again. The multigrain bun made me feel like I was eating healthier... haha! I went with garlic mayo, along with lettuce, tomatoes, and relish. Both burgers tasted much better. Garlic is everything. It was perfect, as I was wrapping up an errand a few blocks north of this eatery. I don't normally visit this plaza on the northeast corner of Markham Road and 16th Avenue. Garden Basket anchors it. I had no problem finding this eatery. Booster Juice is next door. This Harvey's does not have a drive-thru. I backed into a parking spot and walked over. There was plenty of parking at around 2 pm. There were places to sit down and eat on either side of the doors. Ahead of me on the right was the fountain machine and a door to the washrooms. On my left, I saw a sign for order pickups. Just what I was looking for! There was a cheerful young woman who greeted me there. I let her know that I had an order and said my first name. She nodded and happily handed over my drink and a bag of food. I loved that my drink had my name on the lid. I thanked her. I then headed to a free table to sit down and have a late lunch. That's the catch with taking advantage of coupons. She made me feel like I was at fault. After speaking with Harvey's guest experience on the phone, I got a new code and expiration date for a free birthday pie. It did not have a barcode, so I'd have to show these details to a staff member at Harvey's. Last Wednesday, I was doing my regular errands in Whitchurch-Stoufville. I decided to get my apple pie at this Harvey's. The last time I was here was in December 2020. I parked in front of this Harvey's-Swiss Chalet combo store. The main entrance was closed. The door closest to the drive-thru is the only entrance-exit here. A couple enjoying their meal on the patio also mentioned this detail to me as I was reading the signs. It was like I got the message in stereo. I like how helpful folks are here and I thanked them. I walked up to the order area and waited as I saw roughly seven staff members preparing orders. I love Chalet salad dressing so much! I got a cup, paper straw, and a lid. I paid using my debit card. I tapped and was done. He said that it wouldn't take took long. I went over to the fountain machine to get a Diet Pepsi. You don't get any napkins there, but you can throw the paper straw wrapper over there. This area was impeccably clean.
