Great company friendly crew. Wonderful job, my home looks beautiful with the new roof and gutters. Thank you Terry for everything.

how job was left at completion
Scott R.

Working with this company was a nightmare. I will stick to the worst parts, to save myself some time and energy on this review-which I feel I must leave, in hopes that I save someone else from having to deal with them. The second the contract was signed, they hung us out to dry. The schedule went 7x the quoted time, and we had no support from anyone at 2FL. We were told they'd be finished in one week, but this job took over 7 weeks. There was no outside reason for the job being delayed-no material availability problems, etc. The crew just showed up around noon everyday, and left around 3pm (or sometimes didn't show up at all). We had to push back multiple other jobs to account for 2FL's delays. Some jobs we couldn't push back, and the other crews had to come in and work around 2FL's constant worksite mess. Tools were everywhere, insulation and sawdust were left to sit on the floor for weeks at a time, and open cans of stain and half-used caulk tubes were strewn about until the very last day. After informing 2FL of our issues, the owner (Terry) fired the two people working on our job. I found this out because one of the crew texted me to say "your email to my boss just got us fired." Terry told us he would have a new crew on our job that could finish the job in 2 days, and assured us that he'd take care of us. Then the Friday before work was to start again, the original crew texted me to say "All of the other crews are slammed, so unless you wanna wait, you're stuck with me. Cya Monday." We tried to call the owner about this, and he never called us back. Instead, the crew called us again and said "Terry told me to call you." We were not pleased with how this was handled, but we thought it would all be over soon, so we swallowed it and moved on. Weeks later, we were still having problems. This time, with schedule and work quality. We called the project manager and insisted that he come see the work, and he came over. He agreed that things were not great, and told the crew to fix the crooked window and sloppy trim work. We were fine with this solution, but the work kept dragging out, and the crew kept telling us "It will absolutely be done today." After more than a week of excuses, the work was still not done, and we were up against a hard deadline with our flooring install starting. I called the project manager again, and he had an admin assistant call me back instead. They told me they'd get me taken care of, but I never heard back from anyone again. No one came to do a final walkthrough of the work, or even call to check on things. The first call we got after all of this was just another call requesting final payment. When the job was finally complete, the crew left the place a mess, and with incomplete work everywhere (see photos). We had to scrape up the junk all over the floors ourselves, and then hire another crew to come fix the interior drywall and exterior siding work that was left incomplete by 2FL. In short, I'm so glad this experience with 2FL is over, and I wouldn't advise anyone to work with them, for any reason.

1/4" gap between the top of the screen and the window at the top
J P.

First, let me state that the actual crew of techs that installed our windows were AMAZING! These guys were professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to have in our home for over a week. More importantly, the techs are the only reason for the 2nd star. That said, 2FL finished the window installation portion of this project a few months ago (started mid-June), HOWEVER, they installed window screens on half of the windows that aren't the right size. As the screens aren't the correct length, they create gaps at the top for bugs to fly in. This is also in addition to installing the wrong sliding door as well, which was backwards. (That wasn't the tech's fault, by the way, and it has since been fixed) Back to the window screens, which to this date, still haven't been replaced, and they went from providing updates to being non responsive all together. We call on a weekly basis but get nowhere. But wait, there's more - one of the window cranks used for opening/closing broke off yesterday. To be fair, this isn't necessarily 2FL's fault, as it is the manufacturer's (LasTech), but at this point, does it really matter? After spending over $30K on this headache, I wish I went with a different company altogether. But at least the windows look great, I guess.

My home after completion

2FL installed window, siding and a roof on my home and I was very happy with their performance. reliability and timely completion. they gave me the best price and did an excellent job. I would higher them again. I receive compliments on my home all the time. it's beautiful. Thank you 2FL for the excellent job

I would recommend 2FL to install siding to anyone. They did a great job and worked until we were extremely satisfied.

We had issues with the bay window that started a few months after it was installed. Signature was very responsive, and replaced the window free of charge. Unfortunately, the issue ended up being with the construction of the window itself, so the 2nd window also had issue. Replacement #3 was also free of charge, but we didn't figure out the cause of the issue until after window #3 was compromised as well. Signature replaced the window again, #4, but this time with a different brand of window, upgraded from the original - again, at no cost to us. So while our journey isn't typically "great", it's refreshing to work with a company that stands behind their work and products they sell. They were responsive every step of the way. I generally judge a company by how they react to problems, not just by the fact there were problems. And Signature earned my 5 stars. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I got bids, and was the most impressed with Danny L at Signature Windows. We had a tight deadline because the home was going on the market and access to the window, especially in the rain, was really challenging. Meeting the deadline, and the safety of the installers, were non-negotiable. Danny came out the very next day to measure the Window From Hell and, not only did he give me the best price, but his company was the only one that had all the scaffolding equipment readily available at no extra charge. The window arrived sooner than expected, and installation was quickly scheduled to meet the deadline. Then we hit a snag: some epic rain made the cedar roof too slippery for safe conditions. Brent and his crew of expert (and very brave) installers rigged up a safe way to haul this brand-new Mother of ALL Windows up to the second floor and install it using very long ladders, secure scaffolding, and harnesses. I think we had 4 or 5 installers for this job. It took all day to get the old Window From Hell out and the new Mother of All Windows installed. But what a job! Perfect caulk lines, perfect cleaning of the glass, perfect clean-up of the job site, indoors and out. Job done ON TIME, SAFELY, and at an excellent price. If Signature can handle my Window From Hell, I am very confident they can install ordinary double-hung windows that exceed your expectations for quality, price, timeliness, and workmanship. I highly recommend Signature Windows.

Everyone at Kot's was so great we requested a quote for replacing the rest of the windows in the original structure which were installed last week. The whole team was fantastic to work with from start to finish. I had a lot of quotes, some cheaper but none with the level of integrity and pride in their service that I found at Kot's. Update: Since…read moreposting this review the company has continued to threaten me by emailing me directly. I understand the company disagrees with my review, but I was disappointed by the tone of their response and the implied pressure to remove it. Being told they would publicly respond and report the review to Yelp and Google if I didn't remove it felt unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. Also in response to their comments below Thank you for confirming the exact root of the problem: you looked at a three-pane window, saw that only the middle section was currently foggy, and assumed I only wanted that single section replaced. As a professional window company, it was your responsibility to clearly state: "We see only the middle pane is failing, so this quote is strictly for one pane of glass, not the entire window unit you asked for." You didn't do that. You just wrote "1 glass replacement" on a quote for a "window replacement" request and expected a regular homeowner to know the technical difference. The fact remains: I asked for a window replacement. I provided a photo of the entire window. Other companies looked at the exact same information and managed to quote the entire three-pane unit for a price comparable to what you charged me for just the middle section. You can keep calling a customer's genuine financial frustration "deceptive" to protect your online rating, but your own responses show a complete lack of accountability. You made an assumption, failed to communicate it clearly upfront, and I had to pay the premium for it. Prospective clients can read this back-and-forth and decide for themselves if they want to risk dealing with a company that hides behind ambiguous quote terminology instead of practicing transparent communication. I am done repeating myself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently had a foggy/failing window repaired that consisted of 3 separate sections. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication during the quoting process, only the middle section was replaced. That was really frustrating because it made the overall cost much higher compared to other companies I had received quotes from. To their credit, they did offer to replace the remaining sections at a discount after I brought up the issue. However, even with the discount, the final price still ends up being significantly more expensive than competitors. Had everything been communicated more clearly upfront, I likely would have chosen a different company. The biggest issue for me was the lack of clarity during the quoting process. It felt misleading to realize afterward that the quote only covered one section instead of the full window I thought we had discussed. That said, I do want to give credit to the installation crew because they were excellent. They were respectful, worked quickly, kept everything clean, and did quality work. My frustration is mainly with the communication and quoting side of the experience, not the installers themselves.

Picture this:…read moreshattered glass panes on my front door, a dozen contractors telling me "just replace the whole door" (aka "give us more money"), and me slowly losing hope faster than a snowman in July. Enter FDC Glass, cape flapping in the wind (okay, maybe not literally, but you get the vibe). Not only was their quote actually reasonable, but they didn't hit me with the classic contractor combo of upsells and surprise charges. They even sealed up my entrance while working on the door - no extra fee, no fuss, just good old-fashioned service. The result? My door looks fantastic, my wallet isn't crying, and I'm singing their praises louder than carolers in December. I've already told my HOA about them, and you bet I'll be calling them for my other properties. TL;DR: FDC Glass = Christmas miracle workers who actually fix what's broken instead of trying to sell you a whole new house. 10/10 would recommend!

His bid was competitive, and he was extremely detail-oriented. Since we wanted to order our own windows from Dunn Lumber, we had multiple conversations to ensure the measurements were exactly right. His thoroughness paid off -- all the windows arrived exactly as planned, avoiding delays or returns. During the installation process itself, Kirill and his crew (Ivan and Ivan) were always on time, courteous, efficient, and professional. They may be the ONLY contractors we've ever worked with who finished within the timeline that they laid out. Overall, we really enjoyed working with Kirill and would 100% recommend him to anyone looking to replace windows or doors. It would be nice if they also offered finishing services, like drywall touch-up and painting, but the quality of the work that they do specialize in is absolutely impeccable. Our real estate agent was the initial point of contact (since we were still under contract on this…read morehouse and in the waiting period until closing) and met with someone from TN asking them to give us a comprehensive review and estimate. They completed the estimate and cited 11 windows for replacement. We closed on our new home in May 2026, promptly called TN to schedule the work, and paid 50% deposit over the phone. We then waited for the glass to come in so they could complete the work. Our experience with Top Notch has been truly awful. The initial estimate was for 11 window replacements; since we have been working with them they have only cited 8 windows. When the glass came in and they came to install it we let them into the house to get started on replacing the windows. Two contractors arrived to our house an hour late. We asked if they needed anything and they said they didn't. We were in the house the whole time and assumed they would come and check in with us before they left to get an update on work completed. The two contractors who were in our house to replace the windows left after an hour and didn't check in with us or provide any explanations. We had to go through the house and do a visual guess which windows had been replaced. On top of that we received no follow up call from TN about the work completed or any scheduling to continue and finish the work. We had to initiate and follow up with TN customer service a week later to ask about the work and report back about the lack of communication and the contractors just ghosting us an hour into their work day. The customer service team had no idea what we were talking about. In their system they had the job listed as complete. There was no communication from the 2 person contractor team that it wasn't complete. When customer service looked into it more they said several windows had broken or were the incorrect size so they would need to order more. They didn't mention that the work was incomplete. A second time we had TN contractors come out and before they got started on the work we again asked that they come and check in with us before they left for the day and let us know what work had been completed and next steps. Again, the contractors did not check in with us and just ghosted, leaving us with no information about the work completed or what additional work needed to be done. They also told us they were only there to replace one window. When we checked to see what work had been done they had left wet caulk around the one window they replaced and did not tell us or leave a note. Again, we did not hear back from customer service about work completed or any follow up on the other windows cited in the original estimate. There were no follow up calls to discuss the timeline or what work had been completed. And again, we had to initiate contact and follow up on getting the work completed that was promised in the estimate. We reached out a third time to TN customer service and they sent out a field supervisor. The supervisor was 45 minutes late. He let us know that one of the windows they had replaced was installed backwards (they had only replaced the unbroken side, not the broken side). There are 3 windows in our primary bedroom with blue tape on them placed by the original person who completed the estimate. This blue tape was to let the contractors know these windows are some of the lot to be replaced. When this contractor arrived the windows still had the blue tape on them and had not been touched by the visiting contractors from TN. The field supervisor tried to convince us the 3 additional windows from the estimate with tape on them were not intended to be replaced - even though they had placed the tape there to signify needing to be replaced. Before leaving, the field supervisor said someone would call us in production the next day to talk about next steps for ordering glass for the still broken windows. That was 2 weeks ago and no one has reached out to us. In August they had still not completed the entire estimate. We received a phone call from customer service asking for the other 50% of payment on the invoice at that time. They are asking for payment for work they had not completed and for which we already paid half of the estimate, but 50% of the work was not even completed. We worked with Tahnie in CS to make it right, get the work completed, and the project closed. She sent two new contractors out to finish the work and they finally finished the work on Monday, August 31st. Tuesday, September 1st, Tahnie and TN, over a 72 hour period, contacted us 5 times over the phone, 3 times via email, and also called our realtor to inquire about the other half of our bill. This was the first week of school for our kids and we were dealing with all that chaos, but we were also surprised by the intensity of contact and communication when it had been so non-existent prior. We paid the final balance on September 9th.
