SCAMMERS. How do I begin this? First and foremost, I have a go-to company whenever I need transportation from LAX to our house in Orange County. We're a family of five who travel at least two or three times a year, so I always book a large white van because we travel a lot and with a lot of Luggages. I had to book this company because my preferred company was booked out. During the booking, I entered five people and five check-in luggages, as noted on the booking website, no need to enter the # of carry ons. I assumed that mentioning five check in luggages would indicate that I needed the large white van that I chose and paid for. Please note that this is not the first time I've booked this type of van. We always get a large white van. When we met the driver at the curb, he arrived in a minivan. Clearly, we wouldn't fit in a minivan. We had six check-in luggage (I had noted five), three carry-ons, and two backpacks. I had booked a large white passenger van, which would actually accommodate five check-in luggage and some carry-ons. Fortunately, another driver was in the area with the actual van that we had booked. Two weeks later, I received an additional $134 charged in addition to the $175 that I had already paid. I emailed them because there was no way to speak to a live person, No way. I called at least ten times, but no one answered. They replied to me that, "Based on your last email, it is clear that you did not fully read or understand when your trip starts and ends. We are sending the information to you again for your reference." So, apparently, they have the authority to send a vehicle that they believe can accommodate our family. I don't know how they can fit five people and five large check-in luggage in a minivan, especially since they didn't require a carry-on info at the time of booking. Obviously, my bank agreed with me and refunded me the unauthorized charge they had stolen from me. To my surprise, they are threatening me that they will send this to a collection agency, and if I don't pay it, it will ruin my credit card. How is that fair? I happily paid $175 for the van that I needed for my family. Why are they allowed to simply change it? First we, tried several times to communicate with this company via phone and messages, but they only communicate through email, and not timely. Next, the driver was not curbside as advertised, when we arrived at LAX. It took two calls and 1/2 hour for him to arrive. Then, he had a car seat in the second seat which we did not require, and would have made riding uncomfortable since one of us would have been smashed up against it during the whole ride. We had also informed this company, through their requested communication mode, that we would have an additional passenger, which they were not ready to accommodate. Then the driver could not figure out how to organize the luggage to accommodate HIS car seat, which caused a delay that he subsequently blamed us for. One of the group had to show him how to organize. Also, this company advertised that they were sending a "Luxury" vehicle . It definitely was not that. The ride was just a regular, old, minivan that was not "Luxury" when it was new. The worst part was that afterward, they sent an invoice demanding more than double the original price, stating we were late and caused a delay. We had 2 parties traveling to Anaheim, CA & booked 2 reservations with 24-7 Ride. We received 2 confirmations, but the driver did not show up for our 2nd party. When we tried to call, we were routed through an automated phone tree. There was no real person to talk to & the phone tree kept sending us to a message, telling us to "send an email". The driver who did show up said he couldn't help, as even their drivers cannot contact a real person at the company. The vehicle that picked us up from the airport showed years of wear, had an off-putting odor, & had grimy seats & surfaces. The vehicle that brought us back to the airport was no different. The drivers were pleasant & got us to our destinations on time, so we did not complain about the condition of the vehicles. 3 weeks after our reservation, I got 3 emails from 24-7 Ride within 1 hr. The 1st noted added fees for 19 min of drive time. The email did not specify the "contracted" times, but indicated I could "request a GPS report", which was not helpful. The 2nd email included a payment link. The 3rd, sent minutes after the 1st two, was a demand for payment & a threat to send me to collections. When responding to the 1st email requesting justification for the additional charges, I was met with an aggressive response noting that there is language buried deep in their terms & conditions stating that additional time due to various factors (incl. traffic) would result in added fees ($2/minute). The response included a 2nd threat to send me to collections. Be wary of this company. They will nickel-&-dime you for "additional time" & hides its intent to charge added fees deep in its terms & conditions, which are shown after agreeing to the quoted price on the website & entering your credit card information, making it difficult for customers to know what they are truly paying for until it's too late. 24-7 Ride operates under shady business practices, deliberately charging customers extra without their knowledge or explicit, informed consent. read more

Do not use this company! Worst experience with a car service ever! My wife and I were going to LA with some friends. We booked 24/7 Ride long before our trip, and received confirmation that we would be picked up. When we arrived at LAX, we still hadn't received any email or text from them letting us know who our drive was and if they were on the way. We tried calling every number we could find. NOTHING! We tried texting. NOTHING!! We emailed. NOTHING!! We were without a ride we had already paid for! WOW! What a scam of a company!! Hidden charges all over the place and our pick up was at our home at 12:30 p.m. We were all waiting on the sidewalk with our luggage ready to go. The driver had two large car seats in the back (and there were 9 of us). He had to maneuver everything to fit. We were taken to the LA Cruise port, absolutely no traffic and only one ship in the port, so traffic in and out was quick (we had no wait). I wish I had looked at YELP before booking with this company. Go with another company. Emailing them after they were a no-show for my pre-scheduled airport ride resulted in this single response to my need to get to the airport: "Greetings, It is with great regret to inform you that due to an unforeseen situation beyond our control, we are unable to accommodate your scheduled pickup service. More concerning: the trip timer did not stop at passenger drop-off, but continued while the vehicle navigated airport roads. Airport circulation is not traffic and should not be billed as such. This pricing method was not clearly disclosed at booking and only appeared after the ride was complete. I booked a scheduled pick up and drop off from LAX to a hotel in Anaheim, California. I was quoted $100 for this fare. The driver contacted me to inform me he was late to pick me up due to his previous ride running behind. He was dropping off at LAX where I was being picked up. I had to wait almost an hour passed my pick up time for him to arrive, and even walked with my son and our luggage up to a different terminal in departures to meet him where he was dropping off in order to save some time. However, I was charged a late fee of 78.00 because the driver was late.... Even though I showed up to the pick up location on time. I was also charged an "excess duration charge" of $84 for 42 minutes, but my entire ride was 42 minutes total, so there was no "excess." So, even though I paid in advance for a $100 fare quoted by 24/7 from LAX to Anaheim on August 1 at 9:45, I was charged a additional $162 - $2 per minute for the duration of the fare (which was not in the terms) on top of the quote AND a $78 fee for my driver being late. Unless, you are traveling with a large group, this ride service is akin to a taxi BUT the meter starts the moment the vehicle pulls up to the pick up location. In my case it was on the street curb in front of the hotel. While your luggage is being loaded, the clock is ticking. It runs AFTER you have reached your airport drop off location AND continues until the driver has reached the airport's EXIT. All based on the GTP tracker on the vehicle. The BASE price is based on drive time to the airport when the traffic flow is calculated to be ZERO. In my case, that was 4:00 AM. My final invoice arrived via email about 15 days later. The $79 listed fee was $113+ with admin fee and extended duration fees, charged at $2/minute for a total of 18 minutes. My pickup time was 5:56 AM. Their invoice included threatening verbiage that you should not contest any of the charges. If so, they will turn over the invoice to a credit collection firm, claiming your bank (credit card company) cannot prevent that action from occurring. Take a long look at this company's reviews before booking and electronically signing and agreeing to their terms (suspect practices, IMO). NEVER AGAIN!!!! Beware of the hidden fees. We recently booked a shuttle service from LAX to our hotel near Disneyland in Anaheim. Overall, the ride itself was great! Pick-up was smooth, communication was clear, the shuttle was clean and comfortable, and most importantly, we felt safe the entire time. However, I have to knock off major points for the hidden fees that came after the fact. When we booked, we were quoted $188 for a round trip, but by the time everything was said and done, we ended up paying $351 -- almost double. Apparently, they have a whole system of additional charges based on "traffic" and "delayed pickup" times, all explained deep in the fine print. The way they calculate it is not very customer-friendly: they base your ride time against a "zero-traffic" 4:00 AM trip on Google Maps, and if your ride takes longer (which in L.A. traffic, it definitely will), you get charged $2.00 extra per minute. There are also additional delayed pickup fees if there's any wait time from their holding lot. While technically they disclose this information in the electronic agreement you sign when booking, they do not make it obvious at all during the reservation process that your final price could end up so much higher. It felt like a bait-and-switch, and I think most people would not expect this unless they combed through the fine print. Oh! Also, on our final shuttle back, we overheard a phone call that raised some concerns. It seems that the owner books every shuttle request that comes in -- even when he doesn't actually have enough shuttles available to fulfill them. In those cases, customers are left scrambling to find a plan B on their own. Definitely something to be aware of if you're relying on this service for important travel connections. Bottom line: Great ride, safe and comfortable experience, but beware of the hidden fees and potential booking issues.
