5 Stars - A Local Favorite That Never Disappoints!…read more I can't believe this is my first Yelp review for the Raindancer because we've been here at least a dozen times! ‍ It's become one of our favorite places to eat. Most visits, my husband and I grab seats at the bar , but this time we brought my brother and sister-in-law along for dinner, and it was fantastic from start to finish! The service, as always, was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Our food came out at just the right pace--never rushed and never a long wait. We were seated almost immediately, but to be fair... we also showed up very early. Here's what we ordered: Two of us had the surf & turf special. My brother-in-law ordered the prime rib sandwich. And my husband tackled the 32-ounce prime rib! He said it was, hands down, the best prime rib he's ever had anywhere! Everything was cooked perfectly, portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. Whether you're looking for a quick bite , a casual date night , a family dinner ‍‍‍, or a place to celebrate a special occasion , the Raindancer is a wonderful choice. We'll definitely be back... again and again! Highly recommend!

I've been coming to Raindancer for years and I honestly can't remember ever having a bad meal here. It's one of those dependable restaurants where you know you're going to leave happy. Back before COVID they had a legendary salad bar and I REALLY wish they would bring it back. I'm not even a huge salad person and I still looked forward to it every time I came here. It was fresh, loaded with options, and honestly one of the best restaurant salad bars around. Raindancer, if you're reading this, bring back the salad bar!!! The ribs here are excellent. Always tender, flavorful, and they give you a very good sized portion. I've brought several friends here over the years and everyone has always enjoyed their meals. The restaurant has a nice rustic feel to it that fits the atmosphere perfectly. The food is consistently great and the staff has always been friendly and attentive whenever I've visited. Small negative is there are no free refills on soft drinks. I believe it's always been the case here atleast as far back as I can recall. For me it should be a big deal because I live sodas it's an integral part of my dinner. But yet i like it here a lot so I forgive it. That says something. Keeping my soda filled is one was I rate servers. If they do it without me asking they are ontop of their game to me. But Ike I said that's not applicable here. Just keep it in mind. But for me, the crown jewel here is the chocolate mousse pie. It is fantastic. Light, fluffy, rich without being too heavy, topped with whipped cream and little chocolate morsels. It's absolute heaven. They also have a peanut butter mousse pie that I keep telling myself I'm going to try someday, but every time I come here I can't bring myself to pass on the chocolate mousse pie. Maybe one day... although probably not. It's just too good. They have a take out window. Sometimes if I'm in the area I quickly pick some up for desert. It's so worth it.

We had 6pm reservations for a party of four, arrived about ten minutes early and were seated immediately. The other couple in our party had previously been here and were curious if what they ordered then would be on the menu again. Apparently, the menu is updated weekly. Starting out with cocktails, I know everyone was happy with what they were served. I certainly enjoyed my pint of Coffee Stout, and my wife was pleased with the lavender non-alcoholic cocktail they concocted for her. Because the servings being delivered to other tables appeared to be quite large, we decided to pass on appetizers, in spite of some of the apps sounding rather unique, e.g., Crispy Deviled Eggs, Open Faced Fried Pork Wantons, and Fried Carbonara. My wife was tossed between a Beet Salad with Scallops and the Pistachio Encrusted Chilean Sea Bass. At our server's recommendation she chose the Sea Bass. It was served with corn puree, confit potatoes (which my wife especially enjoyed), and roasted tomatoes. I'll get to enjoy the leftovers. I was trying to make up my mind between the Duck Pot Pie and the Chestnut Mushroom & Boursin Stuffed Tomahawk Pork Chop when our sever alerted us that there were only two servings left of the Pork Chop. I promptly claimed one of them! I am so glad I did. It was an amazingly delicious and well prepared dish. The pork had a slight pinkish color, just as I like it, the meat was so tender and flavorful, the stuffing had a crisped surface from the oven or salamander, everything was wrapped in tasty pancetta, the smashed potatoes were creamy and delicious, a white wine truffle sauce added another level of flavor, and even the carrot spears had the right level of firmness. I can affirm that my leftovers were equally enjoyable. We were not as lucky in having advance notice of the limited availability of a limoncello pie dessert, so my wife and I shared a slice of Banana Cookie Dough Pie. OMG! That was sooooo delicious. It was light, creamy, and not overly sweet. A real treat with the good coffee they serve. That pie along with something from their Lighter Menu, like a burger, would send you home in ecstasy without putting much of a dent in your wallet. Our bill for the party of four having one round of drinks, entrees, and desserts was about $250. Taking the whole dining experience into account, it was a very fair value. But wait! I have more to share with you. On Saturday nights live entertainment is provided by an excellent keyboard player adding to the inviting dinner experience and atmosphere. Great live, unobtrusive, background music is always a plus at dinner. Got a request? Art Mozeik will likely oblige. Even if you'd like to hear a song on an accordion instead of his keyboard. Find your way to Broadalbin, N.Y. for dinner. You won't be disappointed.

My family and I have been to Glenville Queen Diner many times and have always had good experiences,…read moreespecially with Hector, one of the managers, who has always been kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, tonight's experience was very different, and it will be our last visit. My husband and I went for dinner. He ordered breakfast, and I ordered the chopped sirloin steak with mushroom gravy. When my meal arrived, the steak was completely covered in gravy. Once I moved the gravy aside, the meat looked more like a hamburger than a steak. After cutting into it and tasting it, I found the texture extremely odd--like ground beef formed into a steak--and it had virtually no flavor. My husband tasted it as well and agreed. I told our waiter, who looked at it and agreed it appeared unusual. He spoke with the manager and came back telling me the only thing they could offer was a box to take it home. I explained that I didn't want to take home something I wasn't going to eat and asked that they take it back. After waiting about 10 minutes, the manager, Sherry, came to the table. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, she explained that what I ordered was exactly what I received and proceeded to explain what a chopped steak was. I understand now that their chopped steak is essentially ground/chopped beef formed back together and served with gravy. However, that is not what I expected when ordering a "chopped sirloin steak," and I believe the menu should clearly explain how it is prepared. When I said I would not be eating or paying for the entrée, she responded, "But you will pay for the side salad and fries that you ate," and walked away before I could respond. I found her attitude extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The sides weren't impressive either. The salad was very wet and unappetizing, so I gave it to my husband, and the fries were roughly half a potato and tasted greasy. Yet I was charged $6.99 for the salad and $4.19 for the fries. I did speak with Hector afterward and explained what happened. He told me that the waiter, who was new, should have explained exactly what the chopped steak was before I ordered it. I appreciated his acknowledgment because that is exactly how this situation could have been avoided. I would have gladly ordered another entrée and paid for it if the situation had been handled differently. Instead, I was offered a box for a meal I didn't want and then treated poorly when I declined. It's unfortunate because we have enjoyed this diner in the past. But between the misleading description of the entrée and the way my concern was handled by management, we will not be returning.

The woman who answered the phone sounded overwhelmed and put us on hold. When we finally got to talk to her she seemed like she didn't know what we were asking for with just a single pizza order. It's been a good dozen years or so I think since I reviewed the End Zone (we have ordered takeout…read morefrom them numerous times since). My wife was tired today, good day to order dinner in. We decided on a pair of the Chicken-Cranberry-Walnut salads, a decent price at under $15, a better deal yet with a $5 ValuePack coupon. I called at 5:05PM on a weekday. Phone was answered in a few rings and I was asked to please hold. In well under a minute the phone was picked back up and a pleasant young lady asked my order, verified that it was delivery, and told me that delivery was no extra charge. Why pay more for one of the delivery outfits? Got off the phone at 5:07. We were eating those salads by twenty after 5. Heck, I could barely have set the table in that amount of time, much less prepared something to eat. Salads were somewhere in the huge to "almost too much to eat" range. There was PLENTY of chicken, still hot, tender, tasty, and not a bit of fat or gristle on it. The walnuts and cranberries were abundant, fresh, cranberries just the right texture. I personally would have preferred a bit more cheese, but that's just me - there was an adequate amount. Onions and tomatoes were fresh, tomatoes were tasty, and not that bland iffy taste that so many restaurant salad tomatoes at this time of year have. Lettuce was crisp, just right. The meal was a solid 5 as was the value for the money. The friendly, accurate, and super-fast delivery rates at least a 7 :) Good to see that Larry, besides being a genuinely nice guy, has managed to keep a consistent level of quality and service despite the all too common deficiencies in the food service labor pool since covid. Nice job Larry; nice car too :) Art

I have to say that I am very disappointed it had no flavor and tasted like cardboard. It was burned and there was hardly any sauce on it. We had more grease than anything else on the pizza. We ordered 2 8 cut pizzas and a calzone. Everything that we ordered came to $60 including tip. If had known that the meal was gonna be that bad I would've never tipped but going on reputation of the place and our experiences in the past I thought we were going to get a halfway decent meal. Sadly, my husband and I threw out the portions that we had taken out of the pizza box and you can see of the other pizza box. There was barely anything taken out of that one. We have been going there eating in and ordering takeout for the last 25 years or so so that's why I'm so shocked that the food was so bad this time.
