Cool little space, seems like they're attached to the restaurant next door? I stopped by for a drink to watch the 49ers game a couple weekends back and enjoyed the atmosphere! Staff was on top of it and very friendly. One of the nicer dive bars in the Richmond.

All the food was delicious and the bartender was very nice. I think she is from thailand.Good spot on Wednesday

It strikes a great balance between laid-back and social without ever feeling overcrowded or chaotic. The beer selection is excellent, with a wide range of options that cater to just about every taste. Whether you're into crisp lagers, bold IPAs, or something a little more adventurous, there's plenty to choose from. Everything we tried was fresh and well poured, making it easy to enjoy more than one without feeling overwhelmed by the menu. One thing that really stood out is the food menu. There's a solid variety of options that pair perfectly with the beer, so it's not just a place to drink, it's a place to actually enjoy a full experience. The menu feels thoughtfully put together, with choices that are satisfying, shareable, and ideal for a relaxed beer hall setting. The Beer Hall delivers on all fronts: atmosphere, beer, and food. It's the kind of place you can casually stop into and end up staying longer than planned. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great beer selection, good eats, and a genuinely enjoyable vibe.

From the outside, The Beer Hall almost blended into its surroundings - I almost walked right by if it hadn't been for the neon "The Beer Hall" sign. The taproom is quite spacious and could accommodate several large groups; however, the night of our visit was relatively quiet, perhaps due to the cold weather. Since there weren't any large tables, our group spread out over three smaller tables. As people came and went throughout the evening, it was convenient that we could each order our own beer and food at the bar. I selected an IPA from Fieldwork, a local favorite, and the beer stayed cold and refreshing throughout the evening. The food menu was limited, but I was craving something warm and salty to pair with my beer. For nearly $10, the fries weren't cheap, but the plate was piled high with some of the best fries I've had in a while. They were served piping-hot alongside two dipping sauces - aioli and ketchup. My friends sitting around me couldn't resist them either, and the mountain of fries disappeared in record time. The servers at the bar were very friendly and checked in on our group often. We spent a few hours enjoying our conversation and beer, overall having a fun, laid-back evening.

We were seated on the rear patio which was small but cute and well shaded while still having an outdoorsy feel. Since we didn't have time to get to the Mission for burritos (tourists visiting the city for just one day), I ordered the San Francisco burrito which was described as "Mission style" with carne asada. Delicious. My friend enjoyed her grilled vegetable burrito. We washed them down with el Diablo for me (a mescal margarita) and michelada for her. Our server was a sweetheart and we received our food promptly. My friend asked the bartender if he could charge her phone. He said he couldn't promise he wouldn't get water on it, but then when we picked it up later, it hadn't been charged either. Oh well, probably asking a lot of a restaurant anyway!

We always have a great experience at Underdogs Too, and a big part of that is Kelley (2 e's, 2…read morel's). Her service, attention, and friendliness are consistently stellar; it's the kind of hospitality that makes you feel genuinely welcomed every time you walk in. Kelley is fantastic at helping with recommendations, whether we're trying something new or just can't decide. She also has an incredible sense for timing, especially with kids at the table. She makes a point to get their orders in quickly, which helps ward off delays (and the occasional hangry moment), and that level of awareness does not go unnoticed. Above all, what really stands out, beyond the great dining experience, is that Kelley remembers us. In a busy neighborhood spot, that personal touch means a lot and keeps us coming back. Thank you, Kelley, for always taking such great care of us. See you again soon!

Great tacos, loud music inside and out, friendly enthusiastic staff!…read more They serve Tacos served "Nick's Way"?? ! Huh? Wut? Do you love Guac? Do you love double-layered tortillas around your super-meaty tacos? Well, then Underdogs Too is your kinda place! =). A Nick's Way Taco is a taco with a crispy corn tortilla wrapped in a soft corn tortilla with Monterey Jack cheese, pinto beans, pico de gallo & guacamole. I ordered two tacos "Nick's Way" . The first was a regular Pollo taco (grilled chicken) and the other was a Pollo Asado taco (shredded chicken raised by local provider Mary's Chicken). Both tacos came with a lot of pico de Gallo, and a HUGE dollop of Guacamole! After trying both of the tacos back to back, I think I'll go back for the regular Pollo (grilled chicken) version, as I found it more tasty.. PRO TIP: These little tacos are very filling! Next time, I'll just order just one for lunch - that's plenty, unless I was absolutely starving.... I first experienced these tacos when they had a booth at a local street fair, and was happy to happen upon this little corner of 46tj/Taraval way out here on the farthest Avenues in the Outer Sunset. Despite its proximity to the Ocean just a couple of blocks down the street, we visited here on a warm day to again savor this special style of taco. Worth coming back for sure. GETTING HERE: Easy transit access via the L Taraval Light Rail line which stops just across the street. Parking is relatively doable if you are willing to walk a block (worst case).
