This time I had a chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado on sourdough bread, which was so delicious and so much food! I took half my sandwich home. The fries were crispy and fresh and good. We had Korean fried chicken as a starter and oh my gosh it was so good! My sister had the fish tacos and loved them and my daughter had the Carnita Chilaquiles and she really liked them a lot. Service was good ambience was chill and we sat outside and it was fun. Pricing is mid range and you get a lot for your money. The restrooms are clean and the inside of the restaurant is more of a bar like atmosphere and it's a little on the darker side so I personally like to sit outside. I also like to sit outside because I get support for my back if you sit inside and don't get against the wall, you don't have any back support because you're sitting on barstools. read more

Dining at 1909 was my highlight of my weekend in Temecula. They are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch on the weekends. I have noticed this restaurant many times, there has aways been a line waiting for a table. I put my name on the list for lunch, which would be 45 minutes. There are two patios and an indoor dining room equipped with several tables, two long tables for groups of 10+ or more and nice comfy bar stools at the bar. The bar seating is on a first come-first served basis, if you can find a seat. The hostess mentioned, I could buy a drink or food at the bar and sit by the hostess station while I wait for my table. That was very helpful information and convenient since 45 minutes is a long time to stand in the ever-growing wait line that was snaking around the corner. I went inside and noticed someone leaving, I was able to snag a seat at the bar. Adrian was my bartender and very helpful and friendly. I ordered a mango hard cider and a Reuben Sando, which came with fries. Then, I noticed the Carnivore on the menu ... this is a hefty Bloody Mary. $19 was worth it, the garnish included: two Chicken Wings, Bacon, Cubed Harvati Jack Cheese, an Olive and Peppercini on a Skewer. Plus a stick of beef jerky. What, no celery? I didn't need it, lol. Sunday morning is my perferred time for a Spicy Bloody Mary. If Bacon is involved, count me in!! They only prepare 20 of these per day, do not hesitate to place your order for it. My Reuben sandwich was like a double-decker filled with their house-cured corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese on marble rye bread. I ate 1/4 and took the rest home for my lunch on Monday. It's a sweet deal when you buy one meal and there's enough for two people or two meals for one price. Get on the wait list, it is worth the wait. Great vibe, service and delicious food! We were seated outside by the street, which can get really noisy at night but I don't mind that. I really enjoyed the shrimp & chorizo. It was really hearty and the flavors were so good! The sea bass was okay, I didn't taste any lemon or ginger in the dish which leads me to think they just forgot it because ginger is not a flavor that you can easily miss. They have water misters that turn on as well to keep you cool. Service was a tad slow at times, and they did not clean up our appetizers plates when our main dishes came out. This place is good! After walking around old town Temecula, I think that this restaurant is definitely the nicer or nicest of the options! It isn't too fancy, but a perfect brunch or dinner spot. I thought the menu was random and the appetizer selection wasn't the best. The service is fine. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the outdoor seating is still comfortable! They had an event in the back of the restaurant while I was there so it was a bit crowded with people walking past to arrive to it. This is one of the best brunch and nice places to go with friends if you're visiting the area! The 1909 burger is delicious! I also appreciate that they offer mocktails. The Kyoto Kiss mocktail I ordered was tasty. On Fridays and Saturdays they close at 1 am! I saw a sign that they offer with a "Late Night Brunchies" menu. My husband and I went to 1909 Temecula for the first time today, and it was such a delightful and charming experience. We ordered the Korean fried chicken as a starter and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of crispy and perfectly seasoned chicken. My husband ordered the bacon burger with tallow fries, and he loved both! (I can confirm the tallow fries were sooo umami and crunchy.) I ordered the miso black cod and it reminded me of the Azay Little Tokyo version--both are flaky and expertly seasoned but the portion at 1909 was literally double the portion I'd get in LA for at least $15 less! The cocktails were great, and the server was so friendly. (He had Noah Wyle crows feet so I may be partial.) The ambience is casual and so charming especially as the sun sets, and the evening breeze rolls in, right in the middle of Old Town Temecula. Make sure you get patio seating to take in the view. They even helped us switch our tables when we didn't have enough shade at our original table. Our waiter was very friendly and offered great recommendations. This was a fun and lively place. It's a great location near the center of Front Street. The staff was super nice and fun. The food and drink menus offer something for everyone. The restaurant offers seating at the bar, tables in the bar area, and two outdoor patios. We sat on the street side patio. It's covered and the restaurant has shades to protect from the sun or wind. The entire restaurant is happening so you'll be happy wherever you are seated. Our bartender was Dave and our waiter was Hunter. Both were great guys. The drink menu was fun, but they offer great beers choices too. We got a lager, a blonde, lazy outlaw, Mac's mule, and stagecoach smoke. All were really good and unique. For food we got fries, shrimp ceviche, mussels, chicken tortilla soup, ahi tartare, birria tacos, and chicken risotto. Everything was great. The birria tacos were highly recommended.
