    BBQ and Sushi
    Dawn K.

We had the sushi and bbq dinner experience. I loved the torched salmon it was delicious and I also really enjoyed their thinly sliced marinated beef the most! It had a sweet soy marinade and it was fatty and cooked super quickly! I also enjoyed their corn cheese a lot! The servers were amazing at watching over our table and making sure that our orders came out quickly and that our finished plates were cleared away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior felt like a great place to have a party! It was clean and the setup was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food tastes great, there were lots of choices specially for the sushi rolls, it was really tasty. It is our go to sushi buffet every time we crave for sushi. The service was fast and efficient. A must try sushi buffet.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]168 Sushi is a popular destination for those seeking a high-energy, all-you-can-eat experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Known for its extensive menu, it goes beyond just sushi to include a wide array of Thai, Korean, and Chinese dishes. The iPad ordering system is a standout feature, allowing for fast, seamless service that keeps the food coming fresh to your table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the atmosphere is lively and casual--perfect for large groups or families--it can get quite loud during peak hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, it's a reliable spot for diners prioritizing quantity, variety, and speed in a modern setting[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came here on a weekday for their AYCE dinner menu and were happy with the variety of options on their menu and the quality of the food. They offer Winter Special menu which includes "Japanese-style BBQ Tiger Prawn Skewers" (1 per person) and "Torched wagyu Sushi with Hollandaise, Black Truffle & Caviar". They also have salad bar including seaweed salad, sweet corn, tomato, romaine, variety of dressing and desert bar which includes tiramisu, mango pudding, mango drink, ice cream and a vegan option. We ordered shrimp tempura, salmon teriyaki, beef teriyaki, green dragon roll, red dragon roll, spicy salmon roll and sashimi. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also a private room available for private events; which adds to the positive atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came here to try their AYCE menu. Really like how you can directly order from the IPad. They have a wide variety of selections. Their sashimis are so fresh and good portion size. They always have a full stock app and dessert bar. It's was really good to go there for some quick bites while waiting for our other food to arrive. They also include sodas as a part of the price. Really recommend coming here, as it is one of the better sushi ayce. The service here is okay. Nothing too special or unusual. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is good. Typical restaurant vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a large seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can also see robots serving customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Very great value, especially if you go during the lunch special. The sushi had a high ratio of rice and cheap fillers like tempura flakes much like any AYCE sushi spot, however their beef and seafood items were all wonderful and fresh. I was quite surprised that their galbi was cooked to perfection and their salmon sashimi came in nice thick slices and were very lean and tender. I would certainly come back to this place, don't sleep on their desserts. They have a SHAVED ICE MACHINE with awesome topping like lychee jelly and red bean. I liked to add their tasty icecream/desserts on top of the shaved ice to make a sort of halo-halo/bingsoo. I left super happy, i recommend coming here with friends and taking the entire time limit, not a bad deal at all.

Visited 168 Sushi for their anniversary promotion that's been going on weekday lunches which was under $30 for AYCE lunch. The selection is a bit more limited but gave it a try since it was my first time here. AYCE Sushi: The quality was decent for the price we paid for. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary but wouldn't complain. The service was quick to get your orders in. Overall, I had an alright experience here. I wouldn't go out of my way to 168 sushi but it's an alright option if you happen to be in the area and craving some sushi.

This was my first time ever having torch sushi and I was so excited . The torch salmon was great. The pressed sushi was also good. I really enjoyed the sashimi and for specialty rolls the 168 roll was absolutely AMAZING!!! It was my friend's first time having sushi and she inhaled it . The special Wagyu Sushi was so good; Melt in your mouth. Minus the asparagus in it . Texturally I didn't like . But that's my personal prefernece. Also, the best takoyaki I've had from a sushi joint. Lots of options for everyone. I liked the salad bar as an option. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely go back. Normally I pick the sushi restaurants but I'm glad she suggested we go here.

The food is really good and the variety is great for the price you are paying, service really just depends on the day you go, sometimes it's great sometimes it's okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is not very small but not very big, tidy for the most and a great place to come if you want to try many things![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

In terms of affordable all-you-can-eat options, this restaurant is of very high quality. The sushi has good quality, and the vegetable tempura is also well-prepared. The prices are really reasonable, and I highly recommend everyone to give it a try. 以平價all you can eat嚟講,呢間店舖非常高質。佢壽司quality唔錯,蔬菜天婦羅亦都處理得好好。價錢真係非常抵,高度推薦大家嚟試吓。

168 used to be our frequent location for Japanese AYCE. Recently we revisited the place again and it's still very nice place for sushi and sashimi. Ice creams are very good too, especially like the green tea and vanilla flavour here. They also have salad bar which you can help yourself. The live vibe here is very nice too.Menu items are offering a variety of options. Service is above average Chinese restaurants, recommended since they are having an anniversary special price right now, good value for the price!

This has been one of my very first sushi experiences here in Toronto. For those who enjoy visual and tactile experiences like seeing the food and getting what you want on their salad+dessert bars, it keeps this traditional component of this buffet experience. As they adapt to modern day innovation, they integrate the use of a tablet where customers can order their stuff and the food can be delivered by a robot. When I visited last week, I noticed that they have a shaved ice cream station wherein you can create your own dessert with toppings and sauces. Also, they have fruit punch and peach drinks too.

Tried this place on a weekend lunch and place was half full. This place blew up on social media for its cheap price so I am glad I was able to get to try. They don't offer sashimi for lunch menu, which is understandable, but they do have a TON of other Chinese and Thai dishes like sweet and sour pork and even DIM SUM which you can order from the AYCE menu. I found this to be a unique take on AYCE for the restaurant which definitely makes it a favorable option for those who aren't huge on sushi and would like to try a variety of cuisine. The quality of the food is on par, nothing noteworthy. Worth coming back due to the sheer variety of food options. Needless to say, I was left feeling

There was a pretty big variety of dishes: many Caribbean classics but also some rarer ones. Service was not great - they took a while before asking what I wanted to drink. The food was largely delicious, though nothing was labelled so I wasn't sure what many dishes were. The dishes nearer the entrance were better; e.g. fried chicken & spicy chicken. Split pea soup & peanut porridge/soup (if it was porridge it was too thin) were pretty good. At the back, the goat was pretty bony & not so tasty, the rasta pasta & fried vermicelli were ok & the curry vegetables were so so. The buffet was $21.99 plus tax, a 50% price hike from what is presumably 2020's price on the website. It was also rung up as 2 ackee and saltfish because they hadn't updated their system yet, which was rather odd.

The chicken is served on a bed of rice and peas with coleslaw (yumm!) and chicken. I found the jerk chicken was delicious and super flavourful. The stew chicken was drier than the jerk chicken but it was still good. I also believe they put butter in their rice - the rice tastes almost... cheesy? And for my lactose sensitive friends, you might also feel it in your gut! But still an enjoyable dish!

The available dips or garnishes like the chimichurri adds new taste profiles and offers even more meat and sauce combinations. I also particularly enjoyed the available sides - lasagna, mac and cheese, braised beef ribs cassava puree, etc. Grilled shrimp is served for some seafood variety, as well as grilled pineapple to wash away the palate opening up for more meat consumption. It would be best to arrive very early so as to get more frequent servings of the grilled meats when there are not yet too many tables around for the servers to rotate. We arrived at 6PM and for about the first half hour we were getting a good rate of table visits. It was very disappointing at around the 7PM mark when the place started filling in. I was finding myself always waiting to be attended to and seeing the servers skipping our table entirely. I had to call it out to the lady servers for our table to be visited and offered more food. Another thing is the performers. I am unsure about the daily schedule exactly, but my experience was that the 2 dancers came in around 7:15 and danced for about 5 to 10 mins. Not all of the tables at the patio area would have a good view of the dancers. The dancers would change to different dance spots around the restaurant and there would be certain perfect locations with a good view of the performance. Overall, I would say the whole experience was OK to good. It is too expensive for what it is. The All You Can Eat promise is only more applicable during the early part or during slow times where there is not much diners in. It becomes frustrating later on. I also expected more from the performers, either a longer number or multiple occasions of short performances. Lastly, during our dining time we experienced a few flies present and landing on our food.

Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted to a very clean and modern ambience that reminded me kind of like some of the big buffets in Las Vegas. Very cool setup where they have 3 self serve fountain drinks which is included in your buffet price. In the middle they have a grilling area where they are grilling Basa fish, salmon, chicken, sirloin steak. The steak was amazing they put this butter, garlic garnish on top that makes it so delicious. I had 8 of these steaks this evening! They also had a stir fry, soup noodle where you can choose your own ingredients, different vegetables and protein and carbs for them to either turn into a stir fry or soup noodle. They had plenty of ice cream to choose from as well as a soft serve ice cream machine. The service provided by the employees were top notch, so friendly, and helpful. The sushi rice was overcooked, and the sushi kept falling apart every time I tried to pick it up. The food prepared at the live cooking station was very watery, and the salmon was dry and lacked flavor. The customer service also did not meet my expectations, which made the overall experience even more disappointing. The chef's cooking felt rushed and, in my opinion, lacked the care and attention I usually hope for when dining out. Even the dessert was a letdown. My 9-year-old commented that the ice cream toppings were disappointing, which was surprising considering how simple that part of the meal should be. To make things even more heartbreaking, this was my birthday. I wasn't expecting a big celebration or for the staff to sing to me, but I had hoped for a small gesture, a simple slice of cake with a candle or even just a sincere "Happy Birthday" from the waitress or a manager. I understand restaurants aren't obligated to do this, but a little hospitality on a special occasion can leave a lasting positive impression. Instead, I left feeling disappointed. I traveled all the way from Scarborough to celebrate here, and unfortunately, it will be my last visit. Positive: Unlimited lemonade Great ice machine. Pizza was "all right"
