We came here on a weekday for their AYCE dinner menu and were happy with the variety of options on their menu and the quality of the food. They offer Winter Special menu which includes "Japanese-style BBQ Tiger Prawn Skewers" (1 per person) and "Torched wagyu Sushi with Hollandaise, Black Truffle & Caviar". They also have salad bar including seaweed salad, sweet corn, tomato, romaine, variety of dressing and desert bar which includes tiramisu, mango pudding, mango drink, ice cream and a vegan option. We ordered shrimp tempura, salmon teriyaki, beef teriyaki, green dragon roll, red dragon roll, spicy salmon roll and sashimi. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. There's also a private room available for private events; which adds to the positive atmosphere.

We came here to try their AYCE menu. Really like how you can directly order from the IPad. They have a wide variety of selections. Their sashimis are so fresh and good portion size. They always have a full stock app and dessert bar. It's was really good to go there for some quick bites while waiting for our other food to arrive. They also include sodas as a part of the price. Really recommend coming here, as it is one of the better sushi ayce. The service here is okay. Nothing too special or unusual. The atmosphere is good. Typical restaurant vibe. It has a large seating area. You can also see robots serving customers.

Very great value, especially if you go during the lunch special. The sushi had a high ratio of rice and cheap fillers like tempura flakes much like any AYCE sushi spot, however their beef and seafood items were all wonderful and fresh. I was quite surprised that their galbi was cooked to perfection and their salmon sashimi came in nice thick slices and were very lean and tender. I would certainly come back to this place, don't sleep on their desserts. They have a SHAVED ICE MACHINE with awesome topping like lychee jelly and red bean. I liked to add their tasty icecream/desserts on top of the shaved ice to make a sort of halo-halo/bingsoo. I left super happy, i recommend coming here with friends and taking the entire time limit, not a bad deal at all.

Visited 168 Sushi for their anniversary promotion that's been going on weekday lunches which was under $30 for AYCE lunch. The selection is a bit more limited but gave it a try since it was my first time here. AYCE Sushi: The quality was decent for the price we paid for. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary but wouldn't complain. The service was quick to get your orders in. Overall, I had an alright experience here. I wouldn't go out of my way to 168 sushi but it's an alright option if you happen to be in the area and craving some sushi.

The food is really good and the variety is great for the price you are paying, service really just depends on the day you go, sometimes it's great sometimes it's okay. The place is not very small but not very big, tidy for the most and a great place to come if you want to try many things!

This was my first time ever having torch sushi and I was so excited . The torch salmon was great. The pressed sushi was also good. I really enjoyed the sashimi and for specialty rolls the 168 roll was absolutely AMAZING!!! It was my friend's first time having sushi and she inhaled it . The special Wagyu Sushi was so good; Melt in your mouth. Minus the asparagus in it . Texturally I didn't like . But that's my personal prefernece. Also, the best takoyaki I've had from a sushi joint. Lots of options for everyone. I liked the salad bar as an option. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely go back. Normally I pick the sushi restaurants but I'm glad she suggested we go here.

In terms of affordable all-you-can-eat options, this restaurant is of very high quality. The sushi has good quality, and the vegetable tempura is also well-prepared. The prices are really reasonable, and I highly recommend everyone to give it a try. 以平價all you can eat嚟講,呢間店舖非常高質。佢壽司quality唔錯,蔬菜天婦羅亦都處理得好好。價錢真係非常抵,高度推薦大家嚟試吓。

168 used to be our frequent location for Japanese AYCE. Recently we revisited the place again and it's still very nice place for sushi and sashimi. Ice creams are very good too, especially like the green tea and vanilla flavour here. They also have salad bar which you can help yourself. The live vibe here is very nice too.Menu items are offering a variety of options. Service is above average Chinese restaurants, recommended since they are having an anniversary special price right now, good value for the price!

This has been one of my very first sushi experiences here in Toronto. For those who enjoy visual and tactile experiences like seeing the food and getting what you want on their salad+dessert bars, it keeps this traditional component of this buffet experience. As they adapt to modern day innovation, they integrate the use of a tablet where customers can order their stuff and the food can be delivered by a robot. When I visited last week, I noticed that they have a shaved ice cream station wherein you can create your own dessert with toppings and sauces. Also, they have fruit punch and peach drinks too.

Tried this place on a weekend lunch and place was half full. This place blew up on social media for its cheap price so I am glad I was able to get to try. They don't offer sashimi for lunch menu, which is understandable, but they do have a TON of other Chinese and Thai dishes like sweet and sour pork and even DIM SUM which you can order from the AYCE menu. I found this to be a unique take on AYCE for the restaurant which definitely makes it a favorable option for those who aren't huge on sushi and would like to try a variety of cuisine. The quality of the food is on par, nothing noteworthy. Worth coming back due to the sheer variety of food options. Needless to say, I was left feeling

Nice, delicious and appetizingly presented items. They have quite good selections in the AYCE menu. Items are made with care and nicely served. From placing order to food on table time is quite fast. Cleanliness is about average. I would give it 4.5 stars for food and 4 stars for service. Yes, I would keep it in my short list for more visits.

Some noodle dish with chicken and unappetising white sauce
Idan R.

OK, so as you can expect, all-you-can eat sushi can never be excellent. But here it's mediocre, at best. The fish is not the freshest selection, the portions are tiny. There are lots of items on the list other than sushi, all are tiny and mediocre. One noodle dish with chicken on top and some white sauce was particularly unappetizing. To top it off, the service is poor and unfriendly. On a positive note, there are lots of options to choose from. You order electronically, and the food arrives pretty quickly. This place seems to be popular, so I guess some people find it agreeable. For me, it's just not worth the calories.

Crab meat roll & Torched Salmon

We came here for dinner before going to a haunted walk tour of Pioneer Village on a Thursday night. The prices were actually a bit higher than the Ichiban AYCE Empress Walk for a week night. I thought that though they have some things our other fave AYCE doesn't have the food quality here isn't as good. Attached to the review are the dishes my husband & I had during our dinner. Several of the dishes were missing something. The flavours aren't balanced perfectly in the dishes we tried. For example the torched salmon was good, but missing a bit of salt. The garlic beef was good, but missing some acidity. Each dish was like this. So overall the impression of the food here is underwhelming. The service was also just okay. The waitstaff would drop the food on your table & then quickly walk away without even looking at you. At my other AYCE dining experiences other waitstaff would drop the food on your table, smile, & ask if you need anything else. It's a small thing to smile & ask a question but can really add to the dining experience. You feel like you're cared for as a customer. The decor of the restaurant is actually nice. They have some nice lighted effects on the walls. It looks clean too. The dessert table was neat & tidy. The ladies washroom was looking a little messy. I think the staff hadn't been in to clean. Someone left the water running & it was almost going to flood the sink. I turned it off. It's things like this that gave me the impression this isn't a place I'll likely visit again. On the surface it looks great but underneath you can see not everything is working well in this restaurant. With a little bit of effort they can do so much better. I hope they are able to make that step forward. The restaurant is in a good location & it looks nice. There's ample parking too. It's easy to see the restaurant as it's right on the corner of the plaza. I might try them again in a couple of years to see if they've improved.

It was hearty and flavorful! The eggs were very runny and I used the English muffins and delicious garlic home fries to soak it all up! I'm most pleasantly surprised that we can order from the brunch menu at dinner. I didn't try the AAA steak but I was told that this was absolutely delicious and he wished it was a bigger portion. The music is a bit loud and reminded me of club/lounge music, not a chill jazz relaxing brunch atmosphere. Service was slow and the kitchen even slower. When the hostess sat us at our reserved table, she brought up the 90 minute seating rule. Our food didn't come out until the hour mark, so come prepared for hungry or little ones. The Korean french toast has an amazing crunch on the outside and super moist and soft brioche inside. The four slices looked big but was very easy to demolish. PB & J Hamburger was interesting! That is definitely a brunchy sounding dish and it did not disappoint. It was a delicious, messy, goopy burger with so much flavour. Burrata arugula salad with long thin strips of prosciutto was very light. The fig wedges were sweet and this dish was a great starter without being too heavy. Biscoff Latte is always a pleaser; bit of a strange glassware choice for a hot beverage as it has no handles.

The food here accompanied me through the pandemic pretty much. I thought about it the other day, so I brought my mom back here to dine in. My mom really likes a Vietnamese pork chop, so I want to see if she would enjoy the Filipino charcoal-grilled version of it (she rarely had any Filipino food in her life). We ordered the BBQ grill platter with rice and four tacos to share since our visit was on a Tuesday. So, we actually didn't enjoy the tacos as much. The jerk chicken had an unexpected vinegar flavour (it was more like a chicken adobo), and the other chicken was served as popcorn chicken with spicy mayo. I was not the biggest fan, I have to say. The fish and beef tacos were better than the chicken ones, but there was nothing too special about them. The grilled platter was the hit, though--to me, grilled meat and dishes are always the signature of limitless. The meats were full of charcoal flavour. The pork chop & the skrewers were lean yet fragrant without being overly greasy (like many other restaurants). They went super well with rice. I was hoping that they would serve the raisin coleslaw tho--those were great back then, lol. I bet the Kamayan feast at Limitless would be worth a try. I'll come back with my gang of kuyas another day

Lots of seating is available, including comfortable 4-6 person booths. The only downside is that parking right on Yonge is very limited. The menu has expanded beyond katsu to include pizzas, wings, udon, and tteokbokki. The katsu was excellent with its light, crisp batter, and the special set came with a great variety of sides plus both rice and a small bowl of udon. The pizza and wings were also fantastic--we ordered the half-and-half pizza with the signature shrimbul (highly recommend if you like a little heat) and Korean bulgogi. The wings were flavorful and delicious as well. Service was decent, though we docked half a star because some drinks on the menu weren't available (only 2 out of the 5 beers listed). Rarely, would you find a place that can pull off being a brunch/lunch place during the mornings and afternoons and a club and lounge by night. On a Saturday morning where I was looking for a place to grab a bite and to kill a bit of time, I realized through Yelp that Sugar Cafe Lounge is actually open by 10am. I didn't even know they open in the mornings prior to this. The vibe of this place strikes me as a modernized Chinese karaoke place. It totally reminds me of the karaoke places that I used to frequent back in the day. They have the same black and neon purple/pink colour scheme. Dice shakers were readily available and visible. The modernisation portion can be attributed to the existence of a photo booth and kildult style cartoon characters wall stickers along the walls/window. And for a "club/lounge", the servers were definitely very polite and attentive which is a stark contrast to the service that you may come to expect in early 2000s karaoke places. My feeling towards the curry katsu egg Benedict is equally complicated. I think the dish has so much potential, but currently has several flaws. Let's start on a positive note. The hollandise sauce was a fit with the curry flavour. The built in acidity also worked to tone down the sauce's heaviness. But even with the acidity, it was a pretty heavy sauce. I like the taste of the sauce, but it's just too too heavy. The egg whites for the Benedict was a bit over cooked and getting on the rubbery side, yet the yolk remained runny. Which I found odd. The katsu pork is a bit on the smallish side and the batter did not seem like the Japanese panko style batter (seemed a bit closer to HK style). The pork was under seasoned, so the taste was hugely reliant on the sauce. They clearly used some form of milk bread for the dish. It's a decently thick slice, and it didn't seem like your typical wonder bread, but the bread also added to the heaviness of the entire dish. I have no clue how the vibe is at night or how busy it gets, but my feeling towards this place is a little bit complicated.
