We searched the web for an AYCE in Mississauga as we had to be out there for an event. We landed on Heart Sushi as they had my wife's favourite roll listed, Rock & Roll (here it's Meade with tempura shrimp. In other places it's made with sweet shrimp). So, we stopped to have dinner. The restaurant has ample parking just outside. We arrived around 5 pm and there were many tables occupied but it's a large restaurant so there were still many tables remaining. The tables are nice and large so they can hold the many dishes that arrive with that first order. The restaurant is clearly a birthday magnet as there were 3 birthdays while we were there. They play a Happy Birthday song over the speaker system and bring a HB sign to the table. It was nice to see. There is a great selection, perhaps the largest I've seen at an AYCE. There are many soups, udon, fried rice, rolls, sashimi, tempura, dim sum, Chinese, Thai, a little Korean, etc. There was so much and I wanted to try so many more than I could get to. The service was fast. They picked up empty plates and bowls relatively quickly. Came around for refills of drinks, including water. Everything was fresh. Everything was tasty. I got a picture of the har gow but forgot to take photos of the other dishes as we ate everything as it arrived. 5 stars and I would definitely return. P.S. The bathrooms are nasty. This is a pretty classic AYCE sushi spot in Mississauga. It's in the Heartland area, so it's pretty easy to get to and there's lots of parking. The place itself is pretty big with lots of seating, so it works well for groups. The interior is nice and modern, not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Since it's AYCE, the menu is huge. They have a mix of sushi, sashimi, rolls, hot foods, noodles, rice, and some Korean-style dishes, so there's a lot to choose from. The food overall is pretty solid for an AYCE spot. The sushi and rolls are decent, and there's a good variety which makes it fun. It's not the best sushi ever, but it does the job and satisfies the craving. Service was pretty quick and efficient when I went but it was lunch time so it wasn't too busy. Also, price-wise, it's pretty standard for AYCE in the GTA, not cheap, but too expensive either considering how much you can eat. My family has been going here for years for like birthdays and such. I would say this is a solid all you can eat sushi place. Is it the best sushi out there, no, but it's decent. Also, I don't come just for the sushi, they also have a wide variety of other dishes, like fried rice, Chinese bbq skewers, dim sum, pad Thai. So for a big family outing it's worth it. The price is pretty reasonable too, it was $30 for lunch which is not bad for an AYCE place. Service was fairly quick and surprisingly they didn't really miss an of our order, which I know happens occasional with AYCE places. The space itself is big so you can host a bigger party here. We came here on a Sunday at lunchtime and it was packed. They offer AYCE sushi and they also offer unlimited sashimi for $25.99 on weekdays and $27.99 on weekends. À la carte menu is also available. We ordered dinner menu (available all day long) as we're sashimi lovers. Their menu offers amazing variety of Japanese, Thai, Chine and Asian cuisine. They also have creative maki rolls, like maki rolls with brown rice. All the rolls we tried were fresh and delicious. The drink menu includes great variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options from green tea, bubble tea and coffee-based beverages to beer, liquor, wine and cocktails (at an extra cost). Back again to Heart Sushi for their weekend Lunch Buffet! It was such a great deal since they serve sashimi as well as the regular menu and there is so much Thai, Chinese, Korean available as well as the Japanese items. It really didn't feel like we were missing out on anything from the dinner menu since there was so much to select from. At Heart Sushi, everything is ordered on an iPad, some items do get mixed up/missed, but the first order is usually fully filled. Some items do come a bit later, but all in all great ordering and wait times. They weren't pushy with the timing nor the ordering, but were there to make sure we got our orders in. As far as ayce goes, you can't go wrong with Heart Sushi. Ayce isn't typically meant to be high end, and if you're expecting that, Heart Sushi is not the place for you. Heart has a lot of menu items, sushi included. I hadn't seen brown or purple sushi before Heart, but they had it! I prefer traditional sushi though. My favourite sushi items were the green dragon roll and the torched sushi. For non sushi items, I was a fan of the Korean short ribs, and the dessert - deep fried bananas, milk pudding and ice cream were so good ! read more

If you're going purely for sushi, the food is mid. If you plan to try any other food on the menu that's cooked, it will not taste like how you expect it to taste. Drinks are priced reasonably - they have cocktails and bubble tea. I enjoyed trying the new boil section, especially the clams with lots of garlic. Reasonable amount of avocado/fish/rice ratio. I love the fact that they have a seafood boil option, grilled seafood option and some dim sum along with Thai, ramen, salad and the usual options. Grilled scallops are only on weekends which is $2 more. They currently have a birthday special where the celebrant gets 50% off on their birthday. A few weeks ago, I asked my student where she would like to go for her farewell lunch. She wanted to go to Heart Sushi. She can eat. It's impressive to see how much food she can shovel down at an all-you-can-eat place. I was in Sweden when I was determining which Heart Sushi we should go to. There are two in Mississauga. The one closer to the office was temporarily closed. Instead, I booked a reservation to visit this restaurant at Heartland Town Centre. I drove a few of us over to the restaurant. Parking in front of the restaurant is limited. I was lucky to nab the lone available parking spot. However, if you walk away from the front doors, there is plenty of parking available. When you first look at the restaurant, it looks like someone decorated the windows with flowery tissue paper. Hey, whatever works! I checked ourselves in. I pointed out that we had a reservation. We were promptly seated at our table. It's interesting that their seating procedure is to put everyone together as they come in. There was a special on Sapporo beer, which was going for $4.50. Pretty much everyone ordered one. You order on the iPad that comes on a stand. We went crazy. I loved everything. Here are some standout items: - Shrimp tempura (crispy and perfect) - Gyoza (pan-fried nicely) - Edamame (perfectly salted) - Beef fried rice (delicious) - General Tao's chicken (chicken morsels were tender) - Raspberry cake and coconut ice cream (must-order items) The only item that I ordered and wasn't a fan of was the spicy beef. It was overcooked. You could slurp it down without chewing. It was that soft. With most desserts, you need to order them through your server and not the iPad. This review is for their AYCE sushi. My uncle treated my entire family out when we visited from Orange County. I was immediately impressed by their cool menu concept. I have seen tablets where you can order yourself but never for an AYCE place. It makes it much easier because the chef can get your order in quicker and the waitresses just brings out the items fast. It was also nice because our party was eight people and they gave us two tablets to order off of. The menu was organize and easy to find what you wanted. There was a huge variety and all the sushi was pretty fresh and tasty. There were also a lot of non-sushi items as well, such as udon, and meats on sticks. There were a few of us that didn't eat raw fish and they ended up also enjoying themselves and loving the food as well. We ended our dinner with lots of complementary ice cream. Heart Sushi has been going downhill since I first visited them when they opened a couple of years ago. My family and I had dinner here yesterday evening and we all agreed that the service was terrible. At first, it didn't really bother me but as it continued for the rest of the evening, it started to really annoy me. I actually think they're purposely not bringing out any of the actual sushi orders. Barely of our sushi, maki rolls, and sashimi orders were brought to our table. We had to call someone over to ask them. Only when asked, would our sushi orders magically arrive so quickly. We mostly ate our kitchen orders because those were the items that only came out. One of the guy servers was terrible at giving our orders to the table. We were at the large round table and he would literally put our orders right at the edge of the table. We were seated in the booth on the opposite side of where he placed our food. We had to stand up and bring the plates toward us. I actually saw him pick his nose when he was near the sushi making area. There's a sign at the front of the door that says there's an automatic gratuity of 15% added for groups of 6 or more. We were only a group of 5. However, they added the 15% tip anyways on our bill. If they didn't add the tip on the bill, I would've given $0. I am very disappointed with our visit yesterday and don't plan on returning. read more

I have been many times to the Bristol Heart Sushi location before it burned down. However, this was my first time at their original location in Mississauga. My wife and I came for lunch. We had a rough idea of what we were going to get and at $19 per person, it was priced right. There's ample of parking in the plaza and the restaurant is big and spacious. Plenty of seats and booths. This is an iPad ordering system. Lunch menu is limited with no Sashimi along with fewer selection of cooked dishes. There's no Tuna Sushi for lunch. The food came in promptly but the restaurant wasn't that busy. There was more rice in the ratio of fish and rice on their Sushi. However, the rice was a bit stale. No issues with the freshness of the fish. We enjoyed the Rolls. In terms of the cooked dishes, they do put quite of bit of oil and sauces on their dishes. For example, the short ribs was bathed in sauce even though the meat was tender. The zucchini and eggplant was inundated with oil. Very good sushi place in Mississauga - probably my fav ayce place here. I always end up going here when I'm craving ayce sushi. The place is very clean and well decorated with heart decor, and the sushi and food is very good. I came here once with some friends at 9:30pm and they close at 10:00pm - we were really craving ayce sushi. The servers were nice enough to accommodate us and serve us until closing. We ended up having to order everything we wanted in one order, but we left satisfied. We were super thankful that they let us in and accommodated us despite being so close to closing. We tipped extra. The ownership is to blame with the restaurants decline. This was one my go-to place for AYCE sushi, but this time was so bad I won't be going back. The service staff was lovely, but the kitchen staff does whatever they want, our food came out cold (beef short ribs) or fridge cold (sashimi). On top of that, it took an hour for us to any of these items. The final straw for this place was that the servers don't get their tips, the owner takes them! Heart Sushi is located right at the major shopping centre of Heartland Town Centre near by Highway 401. They are recognized as the most popular AYCE Japanese restaurant. They also offer a la carte menu also available at any time. And they are are open all year round, even holidays! My wife and I would come here every now and then to satisfy our sushi cravings. A hit or miss on some days, usually a hit. My wife always order with her stomach and I am always the one cleaning up. I become a bottomless pit. I never learn to not let her order. Always the same mistake every time. But we got to eat our money's worth. This location has become a lot busier due to the fact, the second location in Mississauga was burnt down due to a fire just off of Hurontario. Wait time can range from being seated very quickly to a very long impatient wait. Fun Fact: Heart Sushi has many awards such as Top 5 AYCE restaurant in 2014 and a winner of a "Yelpie" award for "most favorite sushi in Mississauga 2014". Consistent with other reviews, I'd rate this place 3 stars. It's a nice place in Sauga - nicely decorated. Came by for a lunch on a weekday and boy does it get busy. I came just at the right time for my party of 5 to get a seat. Their menu at lunch is sort of limited. They don't have any tuna rolls (none that I could see at least). The salmon rolls were pretty good, although salmon quality was not the greatest. Salmon teriyaki was good, and offering of kitchen dishes also good. The lychee mousse was quite delicious as well my favourite dessert! Price point was fair at $25 after tax and tip...a larger gratuity due to party of 5...I guess since we got a booth. Service was prompt and friendly. It's not my fav sushi spot however, so I probably wouldn't return often (also I don't usually venture out to sauga that often). Heart Sushi is no longer my favorite. When it first opened, not only was the service amazing, but the quality of the food was as well. I went again a few times after that and was satisfied. However, on my last visit (which was after many months from the last few positive experiences I've had), I found the service to be slow. Staff didn't regularly drop by, we had to get them to notice us and the food took longer than usual. I was shocked when my bill came as well, as it seems that the price went up. The food quality was just OK, but not as good as before. Something has definitely changed in my opinion and there's something off which doesn't suit me. I have eaten a lot of sushi from different places and by no means am I a food snob. But man, this was not good... The rice was stale and hard, the layer of rice on the maki rolls was way too thin, there wasn't any particular flavour in the rolls... and they fell apart :( I got a maki set with tuna, salmon and California maki rolls. A total of 18 pieces, 6 each. These sushi was way too reminiscent to the pre-packaged supermarket sushi. There wasn't anything memorable or notable. Even the customer service at this location was lacking. When I came to pick up my order someone went to "check if it was ready" and didn't come back until i asked someone else. When my order was sitting right behind the counter the whole time. The only notable thing about this sushi was that the tuna and salmon in the maki rolls were in large chunks. I just found it counter productive. The fish was tasteless and the size contributed to the rolls falling apart. I want to hope that it was just my order that was poor in quality. The problem is that when you get it it is hit or miss. I found that the sushi rolls were cut a little bit too big. And the avocado roll looked sloppy. The hot& sour soup was way too salty so I could not finish it. The edamame was good- can't go wrong. Salmon sashimi wasnt great. Shrimp tempura was fine but it came with no sauce. The mango icecream was good and i found it was standard. I didn't really appreciate that they were already asking us to pay when we weren't finished our food - as if they were kicking us out. Wow. I havent been here in a while but just went recently and have to say quality has gone down from decent to not good at all. If you have been there in the past, you will definitely notice them cutting corners. Tried a bunch of different dishes like miso soup, salad, tom yum soup, salmon pork belly, salmon terriaki, eel bbq sushi and rolls, spicy salmon roll. All just very flavorless and did not taste fresh. Overall, I dont think I will come back to this location. Food is too medicore for price you pay.
