Noodles with Beef Sirloin
Larry L.

This restaurant serves authentic Chinese soup noodles and other rice and side dishes. Located in a strip mall, this place seems like an independent family run type of restaurant. We arrived 12:30 PM and the restaurant had few tables occupied and became busier by the time we had finished. We were seated immediately, and the service was fast and friendly. After ordering, our meal arrived in about 15 minutes. We ordered the following: 2 X Noodles with Beef Sirloin 1 X Chongqing Style Noodles 1 X BBQ Lamb Skewers The Beef in the Sirloin noodles were very soft and tender, the noodles had a good texture, and the broth was very flavourful. You can choose the spice and numbness level (hot, medium, and mild) of each noodle dish. I tried the medium spice and medium numbness, which was very spicy and had a lot of numbness from the Sichuan peppercorns. Next time, I will try mild, as it may have prevented me from completely tasting the broth. Overall, the food was very good and authentic, the service was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant had a more modern feel. This is probably the best Chinese noodle in Mississauga, and I would definitely return again.

The price is very very reasonable...cannot believe this is the price level in 2024. The food portion was large as well...we ordered beef noodles and pork slices noodles. Both tasted okay...I was a big fan of "meet noodles" in China but this is not the same thing. Other than that , it is all good

Spicy Pork Belly Noodle Soup

Decent noodles, but I have had better in Mississauga. The biggest issue for me was all the oil in the broth. I asked for it spicy, so maybe they used a chiili oil or something.

Trying to stay low carb and decided to see if I could do that at this place Wonton with chicken broth Steamed chicken with chilli sauce Beef skewer Lamb skewer Shredded tofu skins Har gow (really I'm just eating the shrimp) Total carb: 9 Everything is very delicious and the staff is very nice. From other peoples' pictures the deco is nice, minimalist and and very clean.

Love this place! From where I live which is Clarkson, there isn't a lot of good Asian food. This one is one of the good ones! They serve egg noodles soup and you can choose the spicy and numbness level. All the noodles soup is good but my favourite here in the lamb skewers!! I always always get them even if I don't end up ordering noodle soup. I get either the chicken, pork belly, or brisket depending on my mood. Every soup comes with bokchoy and an egg. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. When I don't want to drive far but want soup, this is my go to place.

Beef Tomato Soup

One of the best noodle soup I have ever had! The beef tomato noodle soup is a must try! It's a bit on the spicy side so I wouldn't recommend going too high of a level if you can't do spicy. The beef is insanely tender and the broth is absolutely amazing! They Gyoza is pretty good too, albeit a bit too fried for my taste. The ambience is super chill. They have ample seating and public parking in front.

Pork belly noodle soup

We come from California and was VERY impressed with the noodle soups. The broth was very flavorful, and portions HUGE! I'm extremely impressed by the quality and service...too bad they don't have an establishment in California :(

I am just a visitor in the area. I found this restaurant to be stunning good. We also had grilled pig feet, squid string, and cucumber appetizers. They are all delicious . The honey green tea was also great.

Went last night and had their Tomato Beef Noodles and got to try my wife's Pork and Pickled Cabbage Noodles. The noodles themselves are amazing. Great texture and flavor - probably freshly made. The broths are good, very rich though. The meat in my Tomato Beef was nice and tender and I enjoyed the other ingredients such as the half boiled egg, and other veggies. We also had very tasty succulent lamb skewers on the side. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Super Excellent!! Is an understatement This food is super awesome!! Ordered pork belly noodles and beef sirloin and beef kebabs The pork belly I ordered was spicy and sure this was really really spicy and tasted awesome I haven't tasted food. Like this in very very long definitely not in Toronto or GTA The pork belly was really good and huge portions couldn't finish it The kebabs were really great and so was the sirloin noodles The best being pork belly The service was excellent so so gracious and polite all the servers were Would strongly recommend this place

You can choose the level of spiciness and numbing to your liking. Unlimited noodle refill is a definite yes! Flavour is great, portion is quite generous, service is as expected. Who doesn't love finding somewhat hidden gem of a place?…read more This location is unassumedly in a strip mall with a music store and pet care business and was such a delight to enjoy. The menu is pretty straight forward but so many options with Taiwanese and Chinese street food type options and fresh noodle and rice dishes. We tried the cuttlefish ball and sweet and sour cucumber salad eppetizers, the original noodle dish with sauce on the side, non vegetarian street noodle choice and the braised pork on rice dish that comes with optional seaweed soup on the side. Everything was tasty, but the seaweed soup was the least favourite for our table. Cuttlefish balls were crispy on the outside, juicy and bouncy on the inside with a sliight sweetness. The Cucumber salad used black vinegar as the base and were not too strong or punchy but provided a nice crisp relief with the other dishes. The egg noodles were just great. Firm and chewy and did I mentioned never ending?? If you need more noodles to gobble up whatever sauce or broth you order just ask! And a bowl will quickly appear at your table, included in your price. The flatter egg noodle was very light and the rounder egg pasta more chewy, both were delicious and held on to the sauces perfectly. The braised tea/soya egg were hard boiled and flavourful and this rice dish was very kid friendly too, a great way to introduce kiddos to the menu. Service was quick and friendly and well worth a detour to visit.

Toronto Review 4/Many: I went to this excellent Lanzhou spot with another person as one of my…read moreearlier meals. Our server, Sophia, was bubbly and friendly, giving suggestions and helping with the ordering process for the other person who wasn't as sure what they wanted. We eventually went with two appetizers and two entrees, which was more than enough food, and honestly, we could have only ordered one appetizer. The better of the two appetizers was the CAD 8.95 Hand Shredded Pepper Chicken/手撕椒麻雞/Shou Si Ji. The dish consists of cold chicken in a flavorful sauce, topped with some greens. The chicken was tender, with a mild, pleasant spice and a bit of numbingness from the Sichuan peppercorns, along with some fragrance, presumably from sesame oil. It reminded me a bit of salivating chicken you find in some Szechuan spots, but it was more aromatic and a bit less spicy. The other appetizer was the Steamed Edamame/岩鹽毛豆 with Himalayan pink salt for CAD 5.95. The other person chose between this and the vegetable dumplings, as he avoids pork, and it was, of course, lighter than the other appetizer. The decent portion of edamame was topped with some pickled carrots as a garnish. My main dish was the Braised Beef Noodles/紅燒牛肉面/Hong Shao Niu Rou Mian. The dish included several options, including size, noodle style, and spice level. I chose the large for CAD $20.95, medium spice, and for the noodle style, I chose flat/宽面, as it was closest to the prism style I like at Lanzhou spots in the States. Along with these, I also added a tea egg for an extra CAD 2.95. Outside the add-on, the dish also had a couple of large slices of radish. Compared to some spots in NYC, I slightly preferred the QQ/bouncy texture of the noodles at a spot near me. However, the broth was better here with a balanced amount of mala, though I would likely order spicy next time, as I tend to add chili oil to the relatively lighter Lanzhou broths. The beef was also much better, being tender with a mild chew regardless of whether it was tendon or other cuts. The tea egg was flavorful and worth the add-on, especially when the inside was dipped further into the broth. I can see why others order this. The other person went with the Signature Stir-fried Noodles/招牌炒面/Chao Tatiaozi. There was an option of protein, and he went with Chicken for $17.95 and added the same egg. I tried a bit, and there was a pleasant pepperiness with a bit of numbing flavor, but less than my dish. The noodles had a good bounciness and overall had a slightly better chewiness than mine. This was lighter overall, but also tasty. This spot has apparently come to the US already at the Mall of America, and I would love it if there were a location closer to me. Good place.

We went for the flat, soft noodles which were great. As they state though, it gets really soft and mushy after a bit, so I recommend maybe sticking with the regular chewy noodles. The beef was soft and the radish was sweet. The soup base was comforting in a way but also very heavily salty. I couldn't tell if there was just a lot of MSG in there, but I couldn't sip on the soup much. We also ordered the shan xin bao, which is a fried soup dumpling of sorts. The breading was really thick and the soup was quite sweet. Not really the taste we were use to. We also got the pig ear and cucumbers cold dish. This was absolutely swimming in oil as well. They chop up black bean in there for flavour and it just added a really bitter taste. We didn't end up touching most of this, opting to bring it home, rinse it, and re-season it ourselves instead so the food wouldn't be wasted. All in all, the service is nice. I think the baked rice could be worth a try, but there's a lot of great noodle options in the area I personally prefer. As always, give it a try!
