Heard about their skewers which are supposed to be excellent and yes they were good Walked in here to try their skewers as they are good As we walked in there was no one even to seat us so we made ourselves comfortable Their was only one server serving a lot of tables Ordered pork pepper with a beef ramen and lamb skewers The pork was fine Didn't like the beef ramen couldn't eat it at all with big pieces of rare beef so we left it as is Had the pork and the lamb skewers were fine too The food is okay not too good but the skewers were good The servers are so overworked that they don't even know of your existence This place is a special for skewers so next time will only order them

The skewers n stir fry were good but the Ramen was above average. Overall good for a change !

Definitely got the lan zhou flavors. Not pictured was the Chinese burger bun with pork and the beef noddle soup with shaved noodles. Waitresses are friendly and attentive. The chilli oil is on point. Be coming back next time we are in town

My family's go-to hand pulled noodle resto in Mississauga. Affordable, quick service, delicious. I can't find skewers in this area as good as they do them here. Hand pulled noodles can't be beat; the texture is perfectly chewy and we prefer the dry over wet usually. We've also had the house special hotpot with tripe which is my fav dish. The squid tentacles were so good. Atmosphere is very chill, mostly other asian families. Definitely a must try for northern Chinese food.

This is my go to spot in Mississauga for Northern Chinese food. I'm a regular here, at least once a week, and I haven't had a bad experience yet. Staff are always quick to seat us when we arrive, unlike some other Asian restaurants. Food taste is always consistent too. Prices are quite reasonable for the portions for most dishes. You have to try the beef noodles at least once. The eggplant and potato is also amazing. I also like to get the spicy potato slices and the crispy beef. They also have draft beer pitchers at a great price. For COVID protocols, they seat guests and at every other table to have separation. The takeout area is also somewhat away from the dining booths, which is great too. I tried hey noodles, and this is much better. Give it a shot!

Reviews for this place have consistently gone down since my last visit, but I still enjoyed our small Mother's Day celebration here nevertheless! We were a party of five, and ordered the following to share (as a side note, I did appreciate that we were given a sheet of paper to note down the menu numbers to avoid ordering confusion and to improve efficiencies): Lamb Skewers: This came in a set of four skewers - the tiny, gamey morsels of lamb were generously coated with a mixture of spices (cumin, pepper, chillies, etc.) and grilled/fried. It was addicting and delicious, but made my breath smell garlicky and cumin-y for a good couple hours after! My sister consumed a whole skewer and a half by herself. Our must-order every time we come! Grilled Bean Curd Sheets: First time ordering these, and they were oh so crispy! The bean curd sheets are coated in a similar mixture as the lamb skewers, and the crisp ends of the rolled sheets offer a nice crackle when you bite into them. Scallion Pancake: Didn't try this dish, so unfortunately can't really speak to it! Fuqi Feipian: Our classic must-order every time we go to a Northern Chinese place. The thin slices of beef come with cross sections of tendons; only complaint is that it was mostly beef flank and very little everything else. Perfect size for a small appetizer! Braised Beef Noodles: There is nothing more soothing and comforting than a good bowl of braised beef noodles. We got the ramen (hand-pulled kind, not the knife-cut ones), and I loved the pickled vegetables that came with the soup (there were three thin slices of pickled radish)! I was also delighted to find a slice of shiitake mushrooms, along with some pieces of beef tendon. The beef was braised quite tenderly - not bad. Stir-fried Lamb Noodles: We ordered this dish solely because we were captivated by a table that had made this order on our previous visit. Overall, it was eh. The gamey taste of the lamb didn't really come through, and so any other meat/protein could have been a substitute. Due to the overwhelming amount of Chinese celery, the dish had a strong celery flavour. There were also generous portions of tomatoes, and some fatty stringy lamb bits. Overall, not a meal that blew me away, but it was a fun sharing experience for Mother's Day!

Hand pulled ramen with braised beef in soup

I came to this restaurant and had to their noodle dishes because of their name. Noodle fans. I ordered the hand pulled ramen with braised beef in soup. The broth was just perfect- didn't taste so oily like noodle soups from other restaurants. They gave a decent amount of braised beef and the noodles were so soft and tasty. Also tried the cucumber salad-it was pretty basic but it was cold and refreshing. The prices on their menu are pretty decent considering the amount of food you get.

I knew it was the right place to go since stepping into the restaurant. You can smell the food!!! Service was good. Lamb kabab was very flavoured and fresh made. Hand pulled noodles was tasty too. Personally I like the pickles in the noodles more.

The supposedly Taiwanese grilled sausages off of Facedrive Food delivery app
    Trevor L.

The noodle soups are always good from this place but can't believe they deceived me with their grilled sausages this time around. In the picture it's suppose to be the Taiwanese sausages off of Facedrive food delivery app but instead got some cheap knockoff Schneider's Juicy Jumbo wieners instead

Took over the old Bayview Gardens location, right next to the kareoke/Chi's Congee.
    Stephanie S.

Note: Language could be an issue. Female server asked us to speak in Cantonese/Mandarin when we asked her for the bill. Uh-oh! This restaurant is located in the former unit of Bayview Garden, so you can enter from the front as well as the back of the restaurant. Front of restaurant is beside kareoke joint, adjacent to Chi's Congee. I'm pretty sure the server forgotten to put in our order! A couple who arrived 10-15mins after us were already tucking into their meal. Most casual Chinese restaurants are known to serve up food at the same pace as McD's, but after 30mins of no food, we had to say something to the male server who took our order. He showed us the order sheet and asked, "Is this yours?" in Mandarin. This tells me that he didn't know his arse from his elbow. It was no coincidence that our food arrived within 5mins of asking where it was! Sitting in a booth, you could have issues flagging a server down. We certainly did! Verdict: Spotty service. Food was ok. It's Sichuan food so think peppercorns, chilli oil, cumin, lamb, and handmade noodles. The stir-fried noodle dish was ok - tomatoes were unexpected - however, I think that I'd prefer a noodle in soup dish instead. Lamb skewers had a lovely seasoning on them - they were medium spicy! Would rate higher if service was more efficient and professional!

    Hand-pulled ramen with beef
    Angela L.

Noodle Fans was a pleasant surprise - the line was fast, food was decent and seating plenty. The smell of spices is strong in the restaurant, a sign of good lamb skewers, but your clothes/bag/hair will reek of cumin the next day. The traditional hand-pulled noodles with braised beef consists of chewy noodles, tender beef slices and pickled radishes in warm, clear broth. The dish lacked balance with way too much noodles. Of the many sides and BBQ dishes, we ordered the BBQ cabbage and cucumber salad - both good. Would recommend as a place to bring family and friends.

I still keep the same rating for this restaurant. Good thing for this place is that the taste for each dish is fairly consistent and wouldn't expect to have a dish that is too good or too bad for each visit. The new menu they provide is a lot more organized and neat than the previous one. Just an additional tip to the last review, this restaurant has two entrances. Since the parking space within the Golden Square is very limited, it is always to recommend to park the car behind the restaurant which the parking space is a lot more. Again, as a chained restaurant, it is very unfortunate that the payment method is very limited here. Additional note for the payment option, even though you can use the debit card there (when the amount is over $15), the tap feature wouldn't work on the POS machine. If you only bring your phone which has apply/andriod pay feature, it wouldn't work there.

Braised beef ramen noodles, beef roll, and cucumber and jelly fish cold appetizer!
    Eric C.

I didn't expect anything from Noodle Fans but was impressed by them. This is a fantastic place to get some beef noodles here, with some cold appetizers and some skewers for a complete and wholesome meal. I can't say I'm the most knowledgeable on beef noodles. There's so many types and I've had some pretty bad underwhelming ones before, but this was great. You can see the noodles being handmade in the back and the noodles were amazing. They were al-dente and had some snap and a light chew to them. I had the ramen sized noodles but I'll definitely come here to get the thicker hand-cut ones next time, to pick up all that delicious broth; Which is what really surprised me the most. The broth which is probably even more vital to a bowl of beef noodle soup than the noodles. It was flavorful, it was meaty, and hearty! There was also a decent amount of braised beef here and they were in small chunks which is in perfect bite sized pieces for easy eating. To go along with their beef noodle soup, you can get an assortment of BBQ skewers here. We ordered some lamb skewers and they were explosive with flavorful. They were on the saltier side but very flavorful with the spice and cumin going on. They weren't overly charred and there was even some nice crunch tendons there! It's the perfect accompaniment to a bowl of warm noodle soup. There's also many cold appetizers to choose from if BBQ skewers aren't your thing. We went with the jellyfish and cucumbers which were all nice and crunchy in a mildly spicy chili oil. Their green onion pancake roll was also pretty good, it was somewhat sweet and spicy and the beef they used was actually meaty and not fatty. However I'd say their pancake was a bit too flaky and didn't taste too fresh. But I really liked the flavors otherwise!

They were quite busy with takeout orders which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Beef Sirloin Noodles level spicy and numb(4/5), Breaded Shrimp (5/5) Seafood Fried Rice (4/5) and Lamb Skewers (4/5). Beef Sirloin Noodles were delicious. The broth itself was not overly salty compared to other places we've been to. I enjoyed the addition of peanuts to this dish for that extra crunchy texture and nutty taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They were bouncy and chewy. The beef itself was good. Some were a tad bit chewy. I wish there was more bok choy. We'd also opt for extra spicy and extra numb next time. Breaded Shrimp was enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this dish. It was crispy, and the batter to shrimp ratio was decent. Seafood Fried Rice was good as well. Again, we liked how it wasn't overly salty. We were able to sense the taste of the seafood. I wish they added more scallops since we only got two pieces in the whole dish. Lamb Skewers were satisfying flavour-wise. We really liked the seasoning on them. It was on the chewier side but it was manageable. We'd like to try their other skewer options next time. Overall, such a good spot for affordable and delicious food. I'm glad my family recommended this place. I'd like to point out that a customer was being problematically entitled and rude yet the female server stayed professional. I thought she handled the situation quite calmly which I wanna commend her for. P.S. The restaurant has a sign on their door saying not to bring pets inside. See their website: https://www.congeequeen.com/menu.php and select your location. It has been a while since we have eaten at the Congee Queen outside of the Toronto (Dundas/Yonge) location, so we were a bit surprised at the price difference (8-10% difference). This location (Heartland Town Center) feels like it has the right price for the menu. With cash, you also get a 10% discount. We were here on a Wednesday for an early dinner around 15:30 - 17:00 and it was about medium full for the main area. People were coming and going at a good pace. For our group of four, we ordered: - B3 Salmon Congee $11 ($12 downtown) - H11 Chicken Salted Fish Fried Rice $18.25 ($19.75 downtown) - K34 Fried Bean Curd with Veggie $19.50 ($21.50 downtown) - K42 Salt and Pepper Squid $16.50 ($18.25 downtown) - K53 Fried Chili Turnip Cakes $13.75 ($15.00 downtown) Service was a bit slow, but not the longest as there were only 2-3 staff taking orders that day for about 15-20 tables. If you signaled for assistance, they will come. Once ordered thought, the food came out in about 5 mins and all the dishes were ready soon after. Tea is refilled on request, just ask. As usual, the fried rice and congee is what they are known for, it was excellent as usual. Depending on the group you go with, YMMV, but for our order combination, this usually works comes out at the same time and everything is hot and tasty. The turnip cakes are the softer type and they even accommodated checking for shrimp. They are usually good about seafood checks. All in all, great experience. With the discount and tips all in, it was less than $100 total at $25 per person. It has been a while since we've eaten out with a group at that price point. Will keep in mind to meetup at any of the non downtown locations in future.

The Taiwanese Braised Pork rice was good but definitely not as good as in Taiwan lol. Also, if coming here, you have to try their signature pan fried buns. That is what they are known for. The total was about 40$, which is fair and the portions were alot less to what I was used to. The rice was in a really small container w under cooked pieced of chicken that was very slimy and white and the rice was very bland. I had to overkill w soy sauce and bit of red sauce. Lastly the chicken balls of course 80% balls 20% chicken but tasted fine, just nothing special. I mean it was cheap and last minute but i definitely feel like i would not have ordered here if i had known cheap or not. They have alot to improve on or mayb they are better at making other items listed in reviews from others. Not sure how they have 5 stars. but hey to each their own right!
