It is always clean, service is warm and friendly, and food is authentic as it can get on the eastside. They did flip flop a bit with their menu for a while, it seemed they were trying to figure out who they were catering to, and the menu unfortunately did become more American patrons oriented at the cost of eliminating hard-to-find authentic recipes they used to have. I hope they stay true to making their own broth and using quality ingredients!

Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. I didn't look up the exact violations, but it would be great to see an improvement in score. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

It was very filling and delicious, I could barely finish it. I also tried their noodle dish and that was also great and very flavorful. The chicken was succulent and tender. I think service could be a bit better, some of the waiters seemed to have an attitude, not sure if they were overwhelmed by the amount of people but overall the food is great.

I treated my friend out for his birthday here on a Saturday noon at exactly 12pm on the dot…read more Parking is tough around here as their shared parking lot is compact, and street parking is limited given it's near Redmond Way - a very busy street - and a ton of residential buildings; I got lucky and snagged parking along 170 Ave NE just two blocks away. If you've been to their first Seattle location in Cap Hill, this location resembles that one in many ways, though this one in Redmond is noticeably much bigger and has more seating that isn't squished together. There's bar seating and a bigger number of four-tops compared to the Cap Hill location, though the wooden wall scheme is the same for both. They serve katsu here with many types of meat cuts, all of which are listed on their menu with descriptions. Service overall was fast and efficient even when tables around us started filling up with hungry patrons. For our food: - The K&O karaage was all right at best. Meat inside is very tender and juicy but the aromatic toasted powder has so much salty flavor - and outer coating was also so dry - that my friend and I needed to drink water constantly while eating it. We could have skipped getting this. - We each got their jidori chicken oroshi katsu. This comes with their jidori chicken, essentially high-quality free-range chicken breast cutlet... and it was very juicy, with the Panko coating being the right kind of crunchy in all areas. We weren't fans of the grated radish sitting on top of all that katsu though, and most of the dish was their shredded cabbage as usual. The cabbage goes really well with their peanut sauce provided at our table. We both left feeling really full and overstuffed in a good way, though I would pass on getting the karaage if you're already getting one of their katsu dishes. Distance- and seating- wise, I'd come back here for their katsu whenever I don't feel like dealing with the parking situation that is Cap Hill.

A bit more than 5 minutes later my wife just said forget it, so I told the waiter to cancel the rest of the order. Totally ridiculous! It wasn't even that busy so I have no idea why after nearly 40 minutes we still didn't have half our order. As far as my, and my daughter's, noodles were concerned, they were good but nothing special. Nothing I would come back for, especially given the far better options in the neighborhood.

This was on a Friday at 6pm and we came to a very empty parking lot until you try parking closer to the many businesses located along the Bella Bottega Shopping Center where this gem is located. Inside is very casual with a ton of tables that can seat various group sizes, and my friend and I got a seat closest to the register. Menu has typical items for a Vietnamese restaurant like pho, banh mi sandwiches, bun, rice dishes and vegetarian options. There was actually a lot of stuff so I was slightly overwhelmed. I got their large phở tái bò viên, which is pho with medium rare beef and meatballs. Note that there is only a $1 difference before tax between the medium- and large-size pho, and I saw the medium bowls being much smaller than the large one I got, so it's worth getting the larger one! Broth is warm, aromatic and comforting with the right amount of everything, and the meats inside gave it more depth. The noodles kept together easily in my bowl and did not break apart easily when picking them up with my chopsticks. I also asked for extra beef, which is $4 more; this was put inside my pho instead of being served raw on a separate plate like i've seen in other Vietnamese restaurants. My friend got their Yummy Noodles house special bun with chicken, and he loved it a lot! It was served in the same bowl size as the large pho I got, hence he couldn't finish what was in front of him entirely. Our family took advantage of the chicken's ability to maintain their crispiness, even for carry-out. It was OK, though a little confusing. Once we settled on KFC for dinner, our hosts (daughter and son-in-law) suggested carryout from 'The Third Place', which was a little out of the way from where we were. It is the Third restaurant opened by the owner, all Seattle area locations known for her KFC (Shin Sung Korean restaurant with Underground Kitchen and the since closed Yeon's Chicken). The chicken was ordered beforehand, and because it is prepared fresh when ordered, it took a bit of time for the order to be complete. There is a limited amount of sauce choices, so we chose Honey Garlic ($23.99) and the classic Yangnyum ($23.99), both marked as Whole Chicken size. Also a side order of french fries ($7.99) completed the order. The fries were good: nice and hot, heavily battered potatoes, providing a nice amount of carbs to go with the fried chicken. The chicken came with pickled radish (chicken-mu) which for me is a must, and it was good. In terms of the chicken, they were all wings, which isn't what I expected: getting the breast and thigh pieces chopped into bite-size pieces, battered and sauced, is what makes it KFC, vs all wings which is more like a Buffalo wing restaurant. So we still got the expected 14 pieces, but they were all wings (flats and drums). I thought the sauces were fine (intentionally ordered mild), and the chicken did maintain a crunch (though not as shattering as the best we've had).
