My friend and I had lunch here this past weekend. It's a cute, unassuming little restaurant with a charming vibe. The food was really good--delicious flavors, generous portions, and simply outstanding. I especially appreciated how attentive and pleasant the staff were. I'll definitely be back! read more

11th Tiger has long been my favorite Thai restaurant in the East Bay. The shop itself is quaint and charming. I usually come here to grab takeout as the seating is somewhat limited. At the front pickup counter, they have a display of menu specials as well as some of the many articles highlighting this business's best dishes. Many of which is still dying to try! My absolute favorite dish from here has to be the Yellow Curry which I've been getting for years now, which I typically order without potatoes (personal preference). We recently tried the Panang Curry which converted most of my family to this delicious, nutty curry with bell peppers. The Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew here is also killer. I usually get chicken or tofu in the pad thai and beef in the pad se ew! Finally, when I'm wanting something sweet (most of the time) I'll throw in a Thai Iced Tea with my order. They are seriously delightful!! This place has amazing food, wonderful service, and an all-around cozy vibe inside. If you're in the area and in the mood for some of the best Thai of your life you've got to check this gem out! read more

Charming Thai food spot. Outdoor seating area decor was inviting to settle in for some good food. The Pad See Ew with pork was solid comfort food I was in the mood for. However they had an extensive menu offering more variety than others like a mango salad and stuffed Angel wings. I would return to try more. Parking was the usual hunt around for the street or parking lot. Google had me turn left into a lot that had no 11th Tiger parking. read more

Small place, has seating outside The ladies were nice, food is okay for Thai food. My eggplant and tofu were on the salty side, fish cake was ok. The drunken noodles is ok, nothing to rave about, the noodles were is squares and sticks together where sauce did not get coated. read more

Food is good like all other thai restaurants but this place keeps raising prices by 8-10% every 6 months. For a tiny old place it is, its now one of the most expensive average thai restaurants. There are better options nearby. read more

Oh my...why haven't I been here until today? We came for lunch and sat outside...what a cute outdoor dining area. It was perfect today because it wasn't so hot. It wasn't too busy but we were there at 11:45. I'm sure it gets busier later. Service was wonderful from start to finish. We immediately got water, utensils and our drink orders were taken while we perused the menu which held lots of choices. We started with the curry puffs which were like samosas but they were smaller and had a lovely flavor and the crust wasn't heavy which was nice. We asked for chili sauce on the side. I'm not sure if I tasted a huge amount of curry but they were yummy nonetheless. For our entrees, I had the pumpkin curry with prawns and brown rice and my husband had yellow curry with chicken with white rice. All I can say is my pumpkin curry was the best I've ever had...and I've had a lot of pumpkin curry. The sauce was perfectly spiced, the veggies cooked perfectly soft but not mushy, and the prawns in the curry were cooked perfectly. So many places overcook their prawns and end up being kind of tough, but that was not the case here thank goodness. The dish actually called for chicken and prawns but I asked for prawns only and they were happy to accommodate my request. I adored their brown rice! It was dark colored so it made me think they cooked it in something but I don't know what it was....but it was definitely delicious because I finished almost all of it. My husband loved his entree, but I didn't taste it so I can't give more detail on his. My husband and a Thai iced tea and I had a beer. The entire meal was just under $50. We will definitely be going back. Sorry I forgot to take pics. read more

I have been here a few times now and everything has been delicious! Small dining area and very causal. Great customer service!

I am a sucker for Thai food and have been here a billion times but this time stood out. We had some people in our party that were vegetarian, so the staff mentioned that they can prepare food without fish sauce, and other sauces that contain meat/seafood. Just because of that I will continue to give them my business! Keep up the good work! read more

I swore that I hated eggplants, but after having their naked eggplant, I'm officially converted to an eggplant fan. Everything we ordered looked so good that I forgot to take photos before devouring each dish haha anyway the chicken was good juicy, flavorful, and tender! Could've been served in thicker slices but all is well! The beef was great! It was spiced so well and was tender! The vegetables it came with paired well with the beef. The flavor is authentic yet unique and creative. Food is 5/5 would totally recommend Service was great! Servers were nice, attentive, and cheerful. Ambiance was cute, authentic, and kind of had a homey feel. I think the business might be family owned? Just my guess, I'm not sure at all. But overall 5/5 really good, elevated, and authentic Thai food! A little pricey compared to other Thai spots but worth the price in my opinion. read more

11th Tiger, perfect for when your stomach is in an up-roar and/or growling at you to feed it. Well, this night became true for me last Wednesday night. The, so-called, Wednesday night fury for Thai. I've seen it from the street, and it looks so cute with some outdoor tables, and it all rustic and woody. But the pandemic gives us limits, so I ordered via Grubhub and picked it up...sigh. I ordered the... ============== * Panang Curry w/Pork [$13, 4.0 stars]: love the curry and the pork. Loved the idea of squash (& pumpkin) pieces, but they were soft as putty and a blob. * Crispy Chicken & Basil [$15, 4.5 stars]: how can fried anything be bad? Great execution. Great flavor. Winner. * Kapow w/Beef [$12, 3.0 stars]: loved the flavor, but the beef was tough and jerky. Make it tender and you are on your way to 5.0 stars. No rice. Was it a mistake? Is that the norm. Thankfully, I had a trusty bag of frozen rice from TJ's, where 3 mins in the microwave saved the day. Would I go back? Hell yes. The fury is bound to return. read more

So I don't have a lot of experience with Thai food, so my take on what's "good" is limited lol BUT I really enjoyed 11th Tiger! It's a smallish restaurant, so personally I wouldn't want to dine in (maybe in the summer when you can sit outside). I ordered pick up, and was a little surprised when they said it would be 40 min for 2 items.... But when I saw how popular this place is, that time made sense! Overall, I would say this is a great small business in downtown Danville. Give it a try if you're looking for Thai. I know I'll be back! read more

Honestly a bit disappointing. Ordered a green curry and fried rice for takeout and picked it up around 8:45. Imagine my surprise when we got home and opened the to-go bag to see green curry with NO RICE. I tried calling the restaurant but it was several minutes past 9 so nobody picked up (understandable, they closed). However, the entire point of take out that evening was to avoid me having to cook. Instead, I found myself making rice at 9:00pm which was very annoying... They need to check their to-go orders more thoroughly. The basil fried rice, which is normally golden brown at every other place I have ever eaten this, was completely covered in a goopy brown sauce which was very salty. I picked the chicken and veggies out and threw the rice away. Really wanted to love this place but unfortunately just didn't work for us. read more

After reading the rave reviews three of us drove from Orinda, Moraga and Clayton for lunch. Not a fancy place and as it was chilly, everyone was inside. The servers were friendly and helpful - but not polished. We ordered roti/curry and tiger wings for appetizers and pork pad thai, pepper chicken and beef eggplant lunch specials. We shared. The servings were on the smaller side. The food was ok with only the pepper chicken getting a "good" rating and rest "average". Recommendation: OK if you live nearby, but not a destination restaurant. read more

The ambiance of the place was nice, and the service was great. I'd give the food a solid OK. We sat outside and the hostess was happy to light a patio heater for us. We ordered: somtam (papaya salad), pumpkin curry, green curry, tom yum, tom kha gai, larb gai (minced chicken), and nak top (beef dish). Thai noodle dishes always shine brightly, and I have a feeling the noodle dishes would have been excellent here. My family is lower carb, so we didn't get any. The 2 curries were great, and my family thought the tom kha soup was the best they'd ever had. The eggplant in the green curry was particularly good. Half of our party loved the larb, but the other half was not a fan. The tom yum was very fishy, and the flavor was unbalanced. The somtam was also not spicy at all, and so wasn't real papaya salad. It wasn't very good at all, the flavors just didn't blend. Based on what we had, I'd stick to dishes heavy on the coconut, because I think this place does that very well. read more

After our tour of Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site, we stopped by here to get lunch (take out). This was recommended by a co-worker. First impression: Clean place, friendly staff, good prices. I ordered Pad Se Ew with Tofu. The service was fast. I was told 15mins wait to get my order but it felt like it only took them 5mins to cook and packaged it. The Pad See Ew had a Good flavor but a lil too oily for me. It was $10+tax for a lunch portion and if you want dinner portion= more Noodles is an additional $2. read more

We were a group of 8 celebrating a birthday at this restaurant. 5 orders came in very quickly and we waited for the other dishes to come. After waiting for over an hour, the other 3 dishes came only after we reminded the waitress that they probably forgot. The waitress didn't apologize and even looked unhappy. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. The food is usually good as we have been to this restaurant many times, but since we waited so long to eat together, the food was cold and of course not tasted good. read more

We all have a go to fav thai place but mine sadly closed after covid so I found this tiny little place unassumingly tucked away in the charming town of Danville. The food we ordered was delicious. Fresh garden rolls were some of the best I've had, roti and curry was tasty and crisp but too greasy. The vegetarian curry, what can I say , yum ! I got the lychee iced tea which seemed interesting but I don't recommend it, overly sweet. Overall this was a pleasant surprise. Note it's very small and casual so I domt recommend it for groups larger than 5 or special occasions unless you do a takeout read more

Met my friend for an early Saturday night dinner. I arrived first and had to wait for a few minutes for a table, but was seated pretty quickly just as my friend was parking outside. We started with the crispy rolls and I think these are vegetarian (my friend ordered then and I just ate them!) very crispy and delicious. We each ordered a dish we liked and a shared spicy basil fried rice. The fried rice is very tasty filled with spices and has a nice kick at the end of your bite (spicy, but not over the top). I ordered the clay pot turmeric chicken which has the creamy coconut flavor. I really enjoyed it, though when I've had other clay pots the rice is usually baked in the pot and has crispy sides, so I did miss that extra crunch. But the chicken was tender and again seasoned really nice, it was hard not to overeat it and get so stuffed! But I was good and took some home for lunch the next day! Yummmm. I'd like to return and try some other things on the menu that sounded good, and bring my husband to check it out. Big plus for me is it's close to home, so nice having good authentic food so close by. I don't know if it was because it was a rainy night in January, but I was lucky and practically parked right in front too. read more

Food is good enough, not bad by any means, probably a little better than average. Who'd expect I'd find my new favorite Thai restaurant in the East Bay in Danville? My recommended dishes: 1. Crispy Chicken and Basil: A crowd favorite, the staple. The chicken is very crispy, but is nicely balanced with a glaze. Extremely flavorful, as they definitely don't skimp on the basil. Must get! 2. Drunken Noodles: This is my all-time favorite Thai dish and I'm so glad I found the best one. Amazing noodles to protein/vegetables ratio (like 50/50!). Although my favorite part of the dish is actually the noodles. It's extra thin and flat so it's fully coated with flavor and sauce. Other dishes I'd also recommend: any curry (panang or pumpkin is my favorite) Don't even think about, if you're anywhere close to the area and looking for Thai food, come here!! read more

Large takeout order for a family Thai lunch. 1. Angel Wings 2. Som Tum Salad 3. Claypot Turmeric Chicken Rice 4. Pad Se Ew 5. Ginger Fish 6. Pumpkin Curry 7. Fire Prawns All quite delicious. Stand outs for me were the fire prawns, pumpkin curry, angel wings and som tom salad. The fire prawns are crispy and covered in this layer of seasoning. Not very spicy but super flavorful. Recommend eating a bite of the included pineapple to counterbalance or a nice serving of rice. The pumpkin curry is full of kabocha and goes fantastic over rice. The angel wings are a great appetizer. It does get filling though so recommend half a wing per person. The som tom salad is a nice, refreshing dish to balance out the rest of the dishes on the heavier side. Even during COVID-19, it's nice to discover new standout restaurants. read more

We had takeout: crispy calamari, bikini prawns, pad ginger with chicken, pumpkin curry, and Thai fried rice. The calamari was not crispy. Bikini prawns were soft and bland (4 per order), pad ginger flavored well, but included chicken was dry and overcooked. Pumpkin curry was nicely flavored as well as the Thai fried rice. But none of entrees with chicken were satisfying because it was dry and overcooked. On a positive note, staff was very cordial and restaurant packed. So there are many patrons who do enjoy it. Observation is that menu has too many options to prepare well universally. We will not return because expected quality and preparation lacking. read more

What a small little gem here in Danville that I found today. Never would I have thought that I would find some good authentic asian food in the town of Danville but this cute little place have proofed me wrong. I was in The Danville area and was looking for some food to eat and found this little place that I have never been to before. So we gave it a try since Yelp showed some great reviews. And it looked kinda cute from the outside too. AMBIENCE: This is such a cute little hut in the center of Danville downtown. (Across from Foster Freeze) This restaurant feels very authentic, the decor, the lights, the interior, even the staff, all were Thai folks I believe. Its a very cute modern little restaurant. You walk in and see a bar area inside. Plenty of tables inside and outside. Highly recommend sitting outside on a good sunny day. I bet at night, it feels like you are eating in the streets in Thailand. I'll have to come back for dinner. But I'd say this is quite a cute place to bring a date to. FOOD: I like the variety of options they offered on their menu. Even the name of the entrees felt authentic, they listed items with their thai names. For example, the famous Papaya Salad was listed as SomTum on the menu instead of just Papaya Salad. I love learning how to say the actual dish. The dish itself had a nice presentation. It was actually quite spicy too so if you love spice as much as me, you wil LOVE this delicious and light salad. Great summer option for sure. We ordered 3 items among 2 people plus a Thai beer. I also tried the Tom Yum Fried Rice which was very favorable and tasted very Tom Yum style. It was spicy but not too crazy. The other item we ordered was Pad See Mao. It had really thick rice noodle in it and tasted really good too. The best part was that the food came out steaming hot! Overall, every item was delicious. I have been to many, many thai restaurants around the Tri-Valley area and this new place is now my favorite Thai place to go. Definitely one of my top favorite Thai restaurant to go now. It is better than the Lotus Thai next door to here too. (Shhhh....) read more

Overall an absolutely horrible experience. *Edit This establishment will pay you to remove a negative review or to change it to a positive review (See attached screenshots) sorry but my integrity isn't for sale. I would highly recommend avoiding this place at all cost. (The TLDR) Pros *The thai tea was good Cons * Dirty/unsanitary * Poor service * Calamari was overcooked and gummy * The pad Thai tasted like ketchup (Don't even know how that is possible but me, my lady and the woman behind us who ordered the same thing all agreed) * The seafood in the drunken noodles was over cooked and dramatically under seasoned. * Food poisoning The tables were dirty, the service was poor, the food was over cooked, under seasoned and just tasted bad and you get small portions of it. I was sick for 3 days after and I definitely will not ever be coming back. Side note, the thai tea was actually really good but that was the only high point. read more
