An unexpected Mother's Day outing with the family turned amazing. Great service for a young waitress, great food that didn't have any issues and the setting was not overly crowded and accommodated a large party. I've been to plenty of these chain locations and I can't complain about this one!!

Buffalo wings, just ask for them to be well done... thank me later
Patrice R.

I have been to this location a few times in the past and the service was great, there were no issues because Brianna, was welcoming and friendly, Now let's talk drinks and food shall we,the apps were fried pickles and wings the wings ask for well done - The meals there was a steak tip dinner, salmon sasalad and fish and chips plate and they were all ok, my big disappointment was the beignet or shall I call them what they are donut holes.

Lump crab cake sandwich on pretzel bread ( limited menu )

Food was amazing great portions the lump crab and lamb meatballs is only limited time only ... so sad My server Dennis was amazing and was giving great recommendations and honest opinions on certain foods. VERY clean inside with great lights.

Food was fresh and hot! It wasn't really busy inside which made the atmosphere very calm and relaxing.

Fish tacos

Came here because I was In the area. Parking was great there is an entire parking lot across the street. I was able to park no problem but getting to the lot is not easy. So E times security would help move people along because it is a tight road . I walked into the restaurant and it's ambiance is very calming. The game was on yet it seemed very chill. The server was so sweet she was very attentive. I am a pescatarian and there were a great range of options . I chose the fish tacos and may I say SOOOO YUMMY. Please try if you won't be disappointed!!

Margarita Flatbread

My sister graduated so my mother decided on this restaurant since she's been to another location in Plainville. We originally had a reservation for 1pm but called to get a reservation at 3pm. We arrived on time and was told to wait 15-20 minutes since they weren't for us. We were already sensed that everything was unorganized. The popular drink for our group was strawberry lemonade and it definitely tasted like tap water in a dirty glass. The food is a 0/10 from the salty calamari with a raw lemon to the unseasoned fish and chips. To my still raw margarita flatbread that took 20 minutes to come after everyone else already started eating. We complained to the manager of the restaurant and he made sure we weren't charged for them. I wouldn't recommend until they hire more staff and get an actual cook.

Gluten free menu
Sami W.

The entire menu can be made gluten-free! The service is great, and the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. Having been gluten free for a few years now, it is difficult enough to find a restaurant with gluten free options. Let alone be able to have an appetizer, entree, and dessert at the same place. LET ALONE have an ENTIRE menu that I can choose from. I wish I wasn't visiting from out of town. I 100% recommend this place to not only gluten free eaters, but everyone.

Piccata gnocchi
Amaziah A.

The service was excellent. The ambiance was ok, and so was the food. I ordered the Chicken Piccata Gnocchi and I would get that again. The calamari was ok.

Asian calamari ~$15. Ok drink (margarita of sorts), ~$12.

I am over the MOON with Moon Bar!…read more If I could live here I would! :) Another excellent experience here and it just happened to be restaurant week. We also spent an hour at the King Tut exhibit across the street! This restaurant/bar always seems packed. And, with reservations for 645pm (highly recommend) the bar was quite busy. The buzz from this high-end cocktail bar is exactly what you want on a Friday evening; From girlfriends sipping their wine to couples laughing and swirling their cocktails, Moon Bar is for the classy and sexy. Abby our server is excellent! A mixologist who knows all the cocktails and can recommend based on your preference. I tried one of their new cocktails with bourbon and did not care for it. Abby made me my mezcal drink that I have ordered before...its the 305 cowboy, an extremely popular drink. A must try for sure! Note: Some bartenders make you feel guilty for saying something about a drink you ordered and did not like. But, here at Moon Bar, Abby was so gracious to make me something that I will enjoy. Hats off to her:) Food: Since it was restaurant week we just shared everything. For starters we ordered the Tuna Tartare that was excellent. Then, we had Piri-Piri Chicken Thighs that were also good but quite spicy. For dessert, we shared the Caribbean Tiramisu, which was great. It was a tough choice between this and the Guava Cheesecake. We were so full that we ended up bringing home leftovers. Oh, I also forgot to mention we always order their Curry Fries - a must try when coming here Trust Me. My husband doesn't love curry but he loves these fries and you will too. #friesaretodiefor Moon Bar, thanks for being amazing in every way. The pita is so soft, the chicken is a thin, crispy, breaded cutlet, and it's garnished with avocado, bacon, the ranch (which tastes more like a garlic aioli), and bibb lettuce. It's so filling and delicious down to the last bite. The matcha is quite good--I've ordered the salted maple matcha. My friend is a big matcha fan and says this is the best matcha she's had in Boston. Of their baked goods, I'm a huge fan of the ube brownie--it's sweet, dense, and chewy. I ordered a scone once and it was a bit dry, so not my favorite. The space is small but I've been able to take out or grab a seat! Prices are a bit expensive especially for the sandwich, but I'm willing to pay it to support a good gluten free option in the city :)

Came around opening on a Sunday and it was insanely busy. Would definitely recommend coming in small parties (1-2) or getting it to-go because it did feel a tad cramped. The line went out the door, but the staff are efficient. I will say, their entire menu is incredibly delicious. I loved their Iced Ube Matcha and Gingerbread Cake the most. I really appreciate that they don't skimp on the matcha & avoid making the Ube flavor taste artificial. The Gingerbread Cake was moist & wonderfully spiced. These were some perfect treats for a cozy sunday morning.

I stopped by in the early afternoon this past Monday with my top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality. This establishment is pretty close to a prior Airbnb we've stayed at and is in a neighborhood we've spent a solid amount of time in, so it's been off and on our radar for a few years. I'm pretty sure we attempted to stop by on an earlier trip but it was too busy - a tribute to the restaurant for sure. Two elements stood out to me almost immediately when we walked in, one good, one bad. On a positive note, the service was excellent - that came across in waves. This is a busy restaurant in a tourist area, and nine out of 10 times, the hospitality would suffer as a result. Not here; we were warmly received as soon as we walked in and were consistently attended to throughout our visit. Top notch in that regard. Con? Personal preference on my end, it just felt kind of grimy in there, like it had taken on the personality of its neighborhood, which is in my opinion not the best and has a homeless issue. There's definitely some personality in there - some gorgeous wood paneling and whatnot - but it was a little too chaotic/claustrophobic for me. I think there's a way they could upgrade the interior without compromising the uniqueness of Cafe Bonjour. I was at the part of our mini-vacation where I didn't necessarily have regrets over my food naughtiness, but my palate definitely needed some legitimate nourishment. I opted for the Signature Blueberry Bowl,, which predictably featured a great many blueberries, and was essentially an acai bowl interpretation with bananas and peanut butter (similar to the Acai Power Bowl at Playa Bowls). It was fine - good portion for what it was. I think they should have made it more...solid, if that makes sense. Like make the blended blueberry aspect quasi frozen so it had more substance to it. Without doing so, it just seemed too liquidy and harder to eat as a result. It was also a little bland and could have used an additional ingredient or two, and the hunks of peanut butter were difficult to blend into the bowl, so sometimes you'd end up inadvertently getting nothing but a mouthful of peanut butter. Not the best, but also probably not their biggest menu selling point. For what it's worth, my chum loved her dish (I think she got the Bennies) and enjoyed her time here immensely. This is one I'd like a do-over on and would be more than willing to come back with a better appetite and revisit - I don't know that my opinions on the vibe/atmosphere are going to change (though maybe some of that is dependent on the weather and this place really shines when the sun is out), but I probably didn't get the best that Cafe Bonjour has to offer.

[Out-of-Towner Review]…read more Obsessed with this cider! I stumbled upon this cider at a local restaurant and had to seek out the Cider House a few visits later. I will say, it is very hole-in-the-wall, no-frills cider tasting (and enjoying). I love how patrons are amongst the product stacked on pallets. I love how they have so many tasting to offer, on any given visit. Because I love their cider, I just love everything else about my visit here. I travel for work, so I end up doing things solo a lot. This was no exception. I found it every easy to maneuver as a solo guest. There was plenty of space and tables for patrons and the tasting bar is also spacey. The staff was kind, funny, and rambunctious, as you'd expect at a Cider House. There are no frills and just good 'ol cider to enjoy! Driving here, since I'm unfamiliar with this area of Boston, was a little hard to get here. I was a little thrown off, but I should have guessed it would be a warehouse style place. My bad! Tons of parking and I even saw an area with cute string lights and what I'm assuming were food trucks, but I didn't wander over there. The keing D' ananas (cubed porked in a shrimp and fish broth like curry with pineapple) and beef bourguigon was amazing and hands down one of the best in Boston I have tried so far. The entree for mussels and fried pork spring rolls are great but nothing out of the ordinary. Finally, the desserts we got the chocolate truffle cake and that was rich but very delicious. But I personally like a lighter taste so the poached pear with raspberry sorbet was a nice touch to the end! The reviews looked good and I was excited to try their unique menu... well, let's just say we were very disappointed. First of all the prices are very expensive. I know this is Boston, but $17 for a cocktail is ridiculous! Our server was lovely, he was very kind and had a kind spirit. I was excited to try the "Rouleaux" since they remind me of the eggrolls, my mother learned from her Vietnamese mother-in-law. It was very crispy, which unfortunately is the only good thing I can say about it. The flavor was so off. It's almost as if the ingredients in the Rouleaux were loudly competing for my attention simultaneously! It didn't really melt in your mouth either, it just felt heavy. The other appetizer we ordered was called Dumplings croustillants au poet epics. This was actually worse than first appetizer. I like lemongrass, but MAN the lemongrass was so overpowering. I started to wonder... "is this how it's always made"?! I'm not even exaggerating. Overall, the atmosphere was nice - definitely pricey, and the food isn't worth the hype. Till next eats, SJ
