Food was O.K. Coffee was served the lazy way - a carafe of warm (not hot!) coffee placed on our table. The migas were watery and the veggies only half-cooked. I left half of them on my plate. In conroe for some business we spotted this cafe and.went in for breakfast. The food was delicious and portions were more than enough. The pancake was the size of a dinner plate!! We were very pleased with all of our food and service. We will be back and on my next visit I will order the loco moco, I havent had one since I left Hawaii!! Job well done!! read more

I was pleasantly surprised that the atmposphere was that of a small town cafe. I felt right at home. I had the best skillet breakfast. I had the corned beef skillet. FABULOUS!!! A generous helping of corned beef atop country potatoes, grilled onions and green and red bells. Topped with cheese and eggs of your choice. Great breakfast! Quaint little restaurant that only serves breakfast and lunch. They have plenty of options including healthy alternatives (if you're into that sort of thing... ). Great service! Came in for brunch on a Saturday morning and we only had to wait about 5 minutes, despite an overfilling parking lot. I recommend the salmon scramble and the Philly cheesesteak omelet. At 11:00 am on Saturday we arrived to get a late breakfast. The place was full so we were the only ones waiting for a table to open. Shortly 3 guys come in and the manager at the cash register knew one on the 3 and they talked a little. The three were then allowed to seat ahead of us. Another couple came in and manager called them by name and the same courtesy was being advised to them. The waiting area was directly in front of the cash register so he thought he was speaking low enough the I didn't hear the conversations. Melted butter or some cooking oil in the batter makes for moist pancakes. Somebody go tell these people, because I'm not going back. The scrambled eggs were drier than the pancakes, which I didn't know was even possible. I very rarely send something back. To some extent restaurant meals are just the luck of the draw. I try to roll with it. Waitress comes by, asks how everything is, I lift the little rubber egg slab so she can see the bottom is completely brown (not tan) and say I think the eggs might be a little over. She comes back with different eggs and tells my son (not me) next time he should order them soft scrambled. Really? Was his word choice somehow lacking? Because unless he ordered scrambled eggs as rubbery as a mud flap on a tractor trailer rig when I wasn't listening, your kitchen screw-up had nothing to do with him. The lemon ricotta pancakes with berry sauce sounded good (doesn't that sound good?) but the little bit of sauce was sucked up by the dry pancake so thoroughly that a few berries were stranded in the middle of a quarter-sized purple circle. Even with a lot of butter they were dry. The regular buttermilk pancakes were no better. Twenty two bucks. read more

Best breakfast and lunch food in Conroe! Love their sweet potato pancakes, their salmon salad and their Mahi Mahi fish and chips!

Great little cozy breakfast place! We were seated immediately having gotten there at about 10:15am on a Friday. I had the Philly Cheesesteak Omelet with potatoes and rye toast. Wish I would have taken a pic. It was a huge omelet! It came with homemade salsa which was so yummy! The potatoes were flavored well and nice and crispy. The coffee was good. The rye toast was mild in flavor and perfectly toasted. The only thing I would change was the steak. It was a bit overdone for me which made it a little tougher. I would have like it medium rare. The staff were friendly and professional. I will definitely eat here again! I just wish I lived closer. read more

Stopped because I was told it had best breakfast in Conroe. What a mistake. I had biscuits and sausage gravy with eggs. It was the most tasteless gravy I have ever eaten and to call it sausage gravy was a joke. I had to look hard to find two pieces of sausage and the gravy could have been substituted for wall paper paste. They did not have enough tobasco or black pepper to add a little flavor to the gravy. I do not know how much simpler a brakfast could be but this was an absolute fiasco. read more

OK, we've given this place two tries since everyone can have an off day, but both times the food was mediocre at best. This last time I had the Eggs Benedict and the watery, yellowish sauce that was to be "Hollandaise" was awful. They used to have great coffee, but I could have read the newspaper through it. So on our way to go shooting at the Creakwood shooting centre we stopped for breakfasts. Service was excellent I ordered the chicken fried steak with two fried eggs over easy. Chicken fried steak was very nice the batter was crispy and not at all set as some places serve it. The breakfast potatoes were done to perfection and the eggs done perfectly to my liking the only issue I had was the gravy it was slightly to think for me. Service was very good but not overly in your face. Coffee was great and didn't taste stewed. Overall very good value for money. read more

We tried this based on other reviews but apparently there is a new chef. My eggs Benedict arrived cold with some type of clear liquid over it..defiantly not hollandaise..I was told that the sauce can't be heated up or it gets clumpy. The waitress came back and said the chef said there isn't a lid for the blender so he can't make it correctly, but he is making more. After a few min she returned with my plate with the same clear liquid plus the addition of a thick clump of something on the side of the plate....no thanks. Our waitress was embarrassed and super apologetic which is the only reason for the 2 stars. Oh and my daughter ordered a vegetarian skillet that had random pieces of sausage and some odd French Fries mixed in with the chucks of potatoes under the eggs and veggies. Bleh... What a disappointment! My family and I are very health conscious and were glad to see the 105 cafe advertise organic and local. Unfortunately, this turned out to be slick marketing on their part. They claim the eggs and chicken are free range (and they may be) but the rest of the menu is pretty much your usual conventional crap found at any greasy spoon. The coffee was horribly watered down. The condiments? Land o Lake, Smuckers etc :( No maple syrup, only conventional high-fructose corn syrup. The eating environment is horribly cramped and in serious need of updating (think 1988 Denny's) After the disappointment of the quality of ingredients we still hoped it would at least taste good. Strike two; no bueno. Wish we'd just stayed home and made our own breakfast. It was also VERY overpriced. I really wanted to like this place and can not figure out how it has received such glorious reviews. Wasted $50. read more

(The staff here were friendly and attentive; this post is not concerning them.) Never in my life have I had to leave a restaurant in the middle of my meal from disgust. I came here at noon with my family and we were promptly seated and ordered our meals. That's when we noticed the large swarm of flies near the kitchen and behind our table. Now, seeing a couple of flies in a restaurant is normal and inevitable every once in a while, but this was a swarm of dozens of flies passing by the kitchen and behind our heads. I have been a field medic for the past 3 years and this was similar to being next to a person who had passed away 24 hours ago. It didn't help that no one had come by to clean the tables near the kitchen in some time and when our food arrived a group of flies came swooping over our heads onto my plate just as I was beginning to try a burnt piece of muffin. One of them couldn't make its way out of my eggs and seemed to drown there. This is when I had to get up and leave. I cannot say anything on the quality of their menu as I was too disgusted to eat; the only reference I have is that piece of overly burnt muffin. Clearly we will never come here again and I have trouble believing that this place has passed a health test. read more
