Food (*** out of *****); I ordered the roast goose with noodles & curry beef brisket tendons with veggies and rice. The roast goose was not up to Hong Kong standards but it was about as good as anything you'd find in a quality Chinese restaurant in the States. They did not melt away the fat under the skin. There was some fat, but not a rubbery thick layer of fat under the skin. The noodles were actually decent and had a nice bouncy mouth feel. The beef tendons were flavorless. I think they boiled it in water and then refridgerated it. Then, as customers ordered it, they'd add it to the hot curry brisket scooped out of a hot pot. This is because beef tendons will melt into liquid if you keep it in the hot pot too long. The veggies were flavorless, too. However, the rest of the curry dish was decent.
Service (**** out of *****); This is not a fancy restaurant with waiters but fast food with counter service, so in this context, you judge the level of service by their speed. If it weren't for the worker's rudeness & refusal to give me an extra pair of chopsticks, they would've gotten 5 stars for service because they literally had my order out in 5 seconds. I swear, they use a magic wand to prepare your order.
Atmosphere (*** out of *****); Simple & clean.
Conclusion (**** out of *****); The tally is 3 stars but I added an extra star for value. Spaghetti with meat sauce, egg, milk tea is 35 hkd. Curry brisket, tendons, rice, veggies, milk tea is 55 hkd. read more
