Hainan chicken (boneless)

With several dining options at the airport, Tsui Wah is my go-to for quick service and a hassle-free time especially when you have carry-on luggage. Once you pay and receive your food items, you can grab a seat at the centralized dining area. If you have more time on your hands and wish to have a traditional dining experience with full service, then this will not cut it. There are usually large crowds of people looking to take a seat or even hawk over diners who look just about done with their meals so that they can sit and eat next. The food here is quickly prepared and pretty standard compared to the typical Tsui Wah restaurant. Prices here are not too far off so don't let that deter you from dining here (or goto McD's next door). There's always a long line but it moves quite fast! Fill your stomach before flying out!

baked pork chop over spaghetti

A fast food chain restaurant located inside HK airport. The space is pretty big with plenty of seating. We ordered a baked pork chop over spaghetti, chicken curry with rice, and a red bean ice drink - Baked pork chop over spaghetti: thick cut of pork chop in tomato sauce. I wish they added more cheese - Chicken curry with rice: definitely satisfied my curry craving - Red bean ice drink: probably wouldn't order this again. It was very watered down For the portion and price, it's worth stopping by if you're hungry before a flight

Tsui Wah is definitely my GO-TO spot whenever I am transiting at Hong Kong International Airport. It is located inside the restricted area on the 7th Floor of the Departure area. Menu is fairly simple and inexpensive. You can view the menu on the very left side. There's usually 2 lines going at this location. Make sure you get in the line with the cashier and place your order before getting into the pick up line. There are fast and efficient and I definitely cannot miss their Crispy Bun with condensed milk whenever I am at this airport. Payment accepted: HKD, Euro, USD, credit card and Octopus Card

Not that fantastic. Where's the condensed milk?
Carolyn L.

It can be a challenge finding a table as the place is packed with travelers in transit. While I was there, I saw many people clutching food vouchers, I guessed their flights were delayed or something. I was told the condensed milk toast bun was a must-try and so I ordered that. Unfortunately it was not worth the hype that day. I could barely see or taste the condensed milk at all. It was just a very buttery toasted bun. Maybe the chef had an off day, dealing with the hordes of hungry diners. The milk tea was excellent. Very milky and rich and unsweetened. I like that as you could adjust the sweetness level according to your preference.

Every time I come to Hong Kong, I come to Tusi Wah Eatery for this Cheese paella, the pineapple bun is delicious, the waiter taught you how to know the way. great!

Tsui Wah is like the the local homestyle food of Hong Kong. You can't deny yourself of their Pineapple bun with butter when you're in town. This is located on a different level, so you have to take the elevator or escalator up from departures. You're not allowed to push the luggage cart in, so you have to just bring your luggage in. I got a noodle dish with beef and the infamous pineapple bun with butter, along with a milk tea. The milk tea was smooth and strong, just the way i like it. The pineapple bun was huge! You'll need to share it with someone! I will forever have a place in my heart for this Pineapple Bun, it was super delicious. I almost got one to bring on the plane.

New god flow Famous chicken and rice.

This place is a hk institution. Their milk tea and hoi lam gai fan are the best. Their other dishes are not bad either. The line is a bit of a wait and rude chinas just try to get in front of you but if you can survive the line the food is worth it. The food comes out pretty quickly and the service is no frills. You should be ready to order when you get up there. No hesitation.

Hainanese Chicken Rice

Good stuff. The Food they pull out of this place is about the same quality as from their restaurants. Their beverages are notably smaller in size than their restaurants, thanks to the paper cups. There's also a lot more ice than beverage in them... And that's worth noting since drinks don't necessarily come with your meal. I had a Hainanese Chicken Rice which was a pretty good deal considering how it also came with a soup. Service is speedy and there are members of staff out there to help you find a seat if the place looks intimidatingly full, so you don't need to worry too much about being stuck standing around at the food court with a tray full of food. If you've got an hour to kill, just eat here.

I really enjoyed my meal here. We were between flights at the Hong Kong Airport. They are quick and tasty, and the prices are not too bad. We got some dumplings and pork bao, and heinese chicken. It was all very tasty.

Tsui Wah is great food that represented Hong Kong style food. Therefore, it is great to have a Tsui Wah at an international airport in Hong Kong. Affordable prices and great food. Unforgettable 奶油豬. Must try in Hong Kong. I did not give up my last meal in Hong Kong this year at Tsui Wah HKG.

When I entered, a staff asked me how many and then showed me to a table. There's a QR code to order, or you can request a physical menu. Must have: tea and coffee latte that I could only get in Hong Kong, Tsui Wah's signature fish balls rice noodle soup (i debated), and I ordered a side of scrambled eggs. The beverage came out first, then the eggs, and finally the noodle. If you haven't visited Hong Kong, the table is equipped with a drawers for the utensil and napkins. I totally forgot and when I asked for more napkins a friendly wait staff showed me the drawers. :) My neighboring tables had a different order, and their foods also looked good. While it is a chain restaurant, it serves up some great foods.

Here are some of the items we ate here: Steamed Rice with BBQ Pork and Scrambled Eggs (神之叉燒飯) - 4/5. I love both char siu and Hong Kong-style scrambled eggs, so this dish is a no-brainer for me. Overall, it's good (enough); everything came together. However, there's room for improvement. The char siu has too much fat and needs a bit more searing. The scrambled egg could have been more velvety and less greasy. Hainanese Chicken Rice (大勝三方海南雞) - 3/5. I love that they serve a good soup with more ingredients than just chicken stock. I also like their ginger sauce, which isn't just grated ginger with oil but a puree mixture with additional ingredients. The texture of the chicken is good, but the meat tasted quite tasteless. The rice is okay. Crispy Noodle with Sweet and Sour Prawns on Sizzling Plate (哈哈笑雙面黃)--2/5. Disappointing. The noodle on my dish looked thinner than the one shown on the menu photo. The sauce is too thickened and more like gravy than sauce; it is one-dimensional with a simple taste profile that is just too sweet. Then there was too much sauce over the thin noodles, which ultimately caused the noodles to clump up. Char Siu Bao (叉燒包) - 3/5. Average Char Siu Bao. This is the baked version. I like the outer layer of the dough, which I believe has a nice coating of egg wash that gives the bao a slightly sweeter, crusty texture. However, the overall dough isn't as fluffy as I would like. The Char Siu filling is a bit sweeter. I would like to taste a good half-half of sweetness and savoriness.

The braised meat and soup had very little gaminess and tasted clean and balanced. The meat was tender. One downside of the dish is that the fish is not only ultra-processed but has a very mushy texture. Overall, Ramen Souo Noodles with Braised Beef is still a good dish. Beef Fried Rice Noodles (亁炒牛河) are almost the national dish of Hong Kong, so the standards for making the dish are high. I was quite disappointed with their Beef Fried Rice Noodle. The dish wasn't necessarily bad. The noodles had the right texture, moisture, and taste. But everything else in the food was below average. The beef was of poor quality and tasteless. The spring onions, chives, and bean sprouts were too overcooked.

Started of with the French toast that comes with a slice of biter and side of syrup. Next was peanut butter toasted sandwich with condense milk and sprinkled with Milo. Peanut butter was good and tasted if they made it themselves and not a prepackaged one. Last of the dish that came was the Cha chaan Tang all time favorite. Fried chicken leg with a choice of French fries or salad, so i chose the fries. When the chicken arrived, I let it cool down a bit as you can literally feel the heat come from it. After letting the chicken rest a bit, I cut straight into the joint as this is the area that normally gets under cooked. Sure enough, my was definitely under cooked as you can see red meat still clinging onto the bone. So I had brought this to the attention of the wait staff that it was under cooked and showed here the part of the chicken leg that was under. Although I was already expecting them to re-fry the same chicken, but was I in for a surprise. The kitchen decided to fry the chicken leg to the point where the exterior turn to a dark golden brown and chewing the meat seemed it took for days before you could swallow it. To top it all off, they didn't even change the fries. HELLO! juice from undercooked chicken had gotten onto the fries. Obviously the kitchen staff needs to get re-educated as they forgot that salmonella and the effects it has on to ones body. I had brought this to the attention of what appears to be a manager level, but got a reply was more like they could care less. The kitchen guys were definitely taking a pist at the kitchen and if they don't see anything wrong with under cooked chicken an issue or their fault, then we have an issue to the public. Definitely would be coming back here for a looooong while, unless you want to test your immune system as who knows what elder could be done wrong

Every person in HK grew up going to these frequently for every meal!! We got the beef satay with instant noodles soup and the tomato borscht macaroni soup with beef brisket. Both soups were pretty standard, but becuz this restaurant is at the airport, it was worse than the Tsui wah's outside. Mostly came here for the nostalgic factor!! This location has a little bakery on the outside that sells egg tarts and typical bakery food. On weekend mornings, you'll see a long line at the bakery section because the pastries taste great and are really affordable - hk$7 for a pineapple bun and hk$10 for a pineapple bun with a slab of butter, which is a hk staple. They also sell Mexican custard buns, which I realized are really popular at these chain hk cafes, but I've never tried them. I did try the egg tarts here for just hk$6. They're so good! Flaky just the way I like it, but not as sweet as nyc egg tarts. Mind you, these bakery items are available not only as to go orders but to stay orders. They make great breakfast food or even an afternoon snack. The first time I ate here was for breakfast and I ordered one of those set meals. I got the beef with pasta in tomato soup. The set included a hot drink and two buns with egg and ham. The meal wasn't that memorable but I came back for dinner cause the food pics looked so good. I love hk baked minced beef over rice/spaghetti, and the ones here are unbelievably good. I love how perfect the egg they add on top looks and it's runny! I'm not a big eater but I'm usually able to finish the whole dish because that's just how tasty it is. I've also had their soup noodles here before and the portion is huge. Honestly, you won't regret coming here. There's a wide range of items on the menu to suit everyone's tastes and budget.
