Scallion Scrambled Eggs & Mini Crispy Bun (as part of Satay Beef Instant Noodle Soup order).
Tiffany L.

This is one of my favorite Hong Kong cafes and I'm glad there is one at the airport!! Their set up is to-go. You stand in one line (on the left side) to pay and order. Then, you grab your receipt to stand in the other line to the right-where you hand them your receipt when you get to the front and they prepare your order. I can see a lot of people going to sit down to wait for them to call your order, so don't make that mistake!! CRISPY BUN: Costs 19 Hong Kong Dollars (32 with a coffee/tea). This is a bread that is slightly toasted with their own unique butter spread and drizzled with condensed milk. It doesn't look like anything fancy, but I love this so much (insert really happy face here). This is one of their most popular items and it's a must to try at least once! SATAY BEEF W/INSTANT NOODLES IN SOUP: Costs 40 Hong Kong Dollars. This order came with scallion scrambled egg and a mini crispy bun. Their scrambled eggs is not your typical american style...its a little runnier looking, but the taste is pretty good! I really enjoyed the dish. It's what you would expect it to taste like. Satisfying order though!! FISH BALLS & FISH CAKES W/FLAT RICE NOODLES IN FISH SOUP: Costs 44 Hong Kong Dollars. I ordered this and it was alright. It comes with two fish balls and two fish cakes, but the noodle quality wasn't too great (what's to expect from an airport right?!). I added the hot chili oil into the soup and that made it ten times better. Overall it was ok though. HONEY LEMON TEA: Costs 22 Hong Kong Dollars for hot and 25 for cold. I ordered it cold and it comes in a small cup. Make sure you squeeze or poke the lemon with the straw to add some lemon flavor!! It's really refreshing and I'd order this again and again!! Tips: Expect long lines here! Leave your trays on the table after because someone will get it for you. And make sure you look at the menu before standing in line or take a pic of it on your phone to look at it while in line (the only menu is located out of the way to the left of both lines, not above the cashier). Cheers-enjoy food and free wifi LOL!

Wrapping up my Hong Kong vacation with a meal at this upper floor location at the Hong Kong International Airport. Good thing they accept my credit card from Canada because I only have 60 cents in HKD in my wallet! I had a 49 HKD breakfast at Tsui Wah Restaurant this morning around the corner from my Kowloon hotel. I going to have the same Afternoon Tea Set D for 49 HKD which I ate a few days ago. Service was quick. The food was good.

2 star for the food + 0.5 Star for the fast and friendly service Catching an early flight is never fun! But flying out of Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) is always fun as there are numerous food choices of different price range to choose from both before and after Security Checkpoint. Since I have to dine with the nice driver that gave me a ride so we ended up coming to Tsui Wah Restaurant for a quite Breakfast. Yes talking about quick, maybe it was a little tood quick! The food we order arrived in less than a minute after we placed our order!! I do understand that they really want to turn tables and make sure all the travellers can eat and catch their flights but by doing so the quality of the food cannot compare to other Tsui Wah locations I had been to! 脆嘩奶油豬 + 炒蛋 + 香滑奶茶 Toasted bun+fried egg+milk tea: A perfect combination for breakfast. Love the simley cup that the milk tea was served in! Sadly my egg was lukewarm and watery My toasted bun was soft and cold But I got in and out of the restaurant within 15 minute! So fast and efficient!

Everyone always raves about how HKG Airport's restaurants / food selection is so awesome. After passing through the airport twice during this most recent trip abroad, I would have to agree. There is such a wide selection of delicious restaurants to choose from, and we came to this one (at the recommendation of my local HK friend). Queued up in line, waited for our table, and ordered a couple items to dine-in. (1) Hainan Chicken Plate - my husband ordered this dish, since he loves to eat Hainan Chicken. The chicken came without any bones this time, incredible. The sauce they provided was excellent too, and the meal came with soup and white rice. The soup broth was packed with some potent flavors, which I'm not sure how to describe. Tastes very "Chinese." haha :) (2) Red Bean Coconut Drink - this drink was good; only HKD $29 and packed with red beans in a milky coconut elixir. I gained weight just from drinking this! Overall, this restaurant was a good introduction to local Hong Kong cuisine - the selection is plentiful and full of dishes that local HK people would eat on a daily basis, including buns, fried rice, noodle dishes, fish ball soup, and more. If you're craving some food while waiting for your flight at HKG, stop by here and tantalize your taste buds!

A very convenient spot in Hong Kong airport. We had a long layover and our hotel shuttled us back to the airport to eat since it was very close. The line was long so I figured to follow the crowd since they know best. Surprisingly the line went by VERY fast so don't be intimidated by it. We went during breakfast so they had a fixed breakfast menu that you can only order from. We ordered the S2 (satay beef with instant noodle and scrambled eggs with crispy bun). This was cheap and very fulfilling. Reminded me of my college days where instant noodle and scrambled eggs are part of my diet. We also ordered the spicy chicken with vermicelli in fish soup. This dish is spicy and I LOVE it. I'm a huge fan of spicy food and this had the right amount of kick to it. A cheap and quick meal. I will definitely come back and eat again the next time I'm here. Side note: the milk tea is very weird tasting. Not a fan personally.

Good place to grab a bite before a flight. There are set dishes such chicken, soup and rice for $70 HKD. They have tasty Chinese beef stew as well as noodle dishes. You do pay a slight premium since you're at the airport. Credit card accepted. Been here twice.

There are two Tsui Wah's in HKG's Terminal 1. This location is the dine-in, non-restricted zone, restaurant that is modeled very similarly to the Tsui Wah's in the city. You can actually have a relaxed final meal before take-off with friends/family that do not have a boarding pass. If you're visiting HK you most certainly have to eat at Tsui Wah which is equivalent to Denny's in the states. They offer good breakfast items and HK dishes like egg white fried rice and noodle soups. Their most classic food item though is the toasted French bread with condensed milk and butter and sugar, which is amazing! This location offers squeeze bottles of condensed milk in case you want to further clog your arteries. Another must-have is their champagne bottle cold milk tea! It's served in an nice bucket so that your milk tea does not get diluted by ice. It's delicious and strong! Service is fast since they type in your order with smart phones and there is roomy space for your luggage. When you're done eating, take the receipt from your table and walk to the cashier in the front entrance. No need to flag the waitress to pay at the table.

After a 13 hour flight rom SFO with just a tiny lunch the day before, I was starving! This place hit the spot. The line moves pretty quick, the server spoke decent English, the food was tasty, and they had beer. Done deal.

One of my favorite airports to hang out at, HK International has a lot to offer aside from their Duty Free stores, etc. Food as we know is essential, hence while waiting for our flight to Taipei we stopped off at Tsui Wah for a quick bite. This seems to be a popular spot for passengers as this place was HUSTLING due to its breakfast specials they have. Overlooking the terminals, the view is pretty sweet, however the restaurant isn't exactly the cleanest! in terms of food we kept it simple and light since we were travelling; Eggs, toast and tea! For what we had their prices were OKAY! however keep in mind eating at an airport is always going to cost more than the usual. In terms of convenience and view, this place is great. HOWEVER their service needs improvement.

I had my last meal here before boarding the plane to SFO. I love their baked seafood rice plate and I had to have it before leaving Hong Kong! I was very grateful that Tsui Wah was one of the food options in the airport!!

Last chance 茶餐廳 before leaving HK. Menu a little leaner yoga in town & mostly sets, which if you order, comes quickly. Mediocre over all but you get what you expect.

It's a good place for your stopover in HKG. The food is pretty authentic traditional Hk street food. Satay beef is the best in my opinion.

Grabbed a quick bite before boarding onto return flight to NYC. Had the egg and ham sandwich, pineapple bun with butter, ice coffee and organic soy milk. The sandwich was ok for $24HKD nothing out of the ordinary. The pineapple bun was cold and hallow, plain and boring. They are mini sizes at $20/each HKD. Very expensive! Ice coffee and soy milk were nice.

When I entered, a staff asked me how many and then showed me to a table. There's a QR code to order, or you can request a physical menu. Must have: tea and coffee latte that I could only get in Hong Kong, Tsui Wah's signature fish balls rice noodle soup (i debated), and I ordered a side of scrambled eggs. The beverage came out first, then the eggs, and finally the noodle. If you haven't visited Hong Kong, the table is equipped with a drawers for the utensil and napkins. I totally forgot and when I asked for more napkins a friendly wait staff showed me the drawers. :) My neighboring tables had a different order, and their foods also looked good. While it is a chain restaurant, it serves up some great foods.

Here are some of the items we ate here: Steamed Rice with BBQ Pork and Scrambled Eggs (神之叉燒飯) - 4/5. I love both char siu and Hong Kong-style scrambled eggs, so this dish is a no-brainer for me. Overall, it's good (enough); everything came together. However, there's room for improvement. The char siu has too much fat and needs a bit more searing. The scrambled egg could have been more velvety and less greasy. Hainanese Chicken Rice (大勝三方海南雞) - 3/5. I love that they serve a good soup with more ingredients than just chicken stock. I also like their ginger sauce, which isn't just grated ginger with oil but a puree mixture with additional ingredients. The texture of the chicken is good, but the meat tasted quite tasteless. The rice is okay. Crispy Noodle with Sweet and Sour Prawns on Sizzling Plate (哈哈笑雙面黃)--2/5. Disappointing. The noodle on my dish looked thinner than the one shown on the menu photo. The sauce is too thickened and more like gravy than sauce; it is one-dimensional with a simple taste profile that is just too sweet. Then there was too much sauce over the thin noodles, which ultimately caused the noodles to clump up. Char Siu Bao (叉燒包) - 3/5. Average Char Siu Bao. This is the baked version. I like the outer layer of the dough, which I believe has a nice coating of egg wash that gives the bao a slightly sweeter, crusty texture. However, the overall dough isn't as fluffy as I would like. The Char Siu filling is a bit sweeter. I would like to taste a good half-half of sweetness and savoriness.

The braised meat and soup had very little gaminess and tasted clean and balanced. The meat was tender. One downside of the dish is that the fish is not only ultra-processed but has a very mushy texture. Overall, Ramen Souo Noodles with Braised Beef is still a good dish. Beef Fried Rice Noodles (亁炒牛河) are almost the national dish of Hong Kong, so the standards for making the dish are high. I was quite disappointed with their Beef Fried Rice Noodle. The dish wasn't necessarily bad. The noodles had the right texture, moisture, and taste. But everything else in the food was below average. The beef was of poor quality and tasteless. The spring onions, chives, and bean sprouts were too overcooked.

Started of with the French toast that comes with a slice of biter and side of syrup. Next was peanut butter toasted sandwich with condense milk and sprinkled with Milo. Peanut butter was good and tasted if they made it themselves and not a prepackaged one. Last of the dish that came was the Cha chaan Tang all time favorite. Fried chicken leg with a choice of French fries or salad, so i chose the fries. When the chicken arrived, I let it cool down a bit as you can literally feel the heat come from it. After letting the chicken rest a bit, I cut straight into the joint as this is the area that normally gets under cooked. Sure enough, my was definitely under cooked as you can see red meat still clinging onto the bone. So I had brought this to the attention of the wait staff that it was under cooked and showed here the part of the chicken leg that was under. Although I was already expecting them to re-fry the same chicken, but was I in for a surprise. The kitchen decided to fry the chicken leg to the point where the exterior turn to a dark golden brown and chewing the meat seemed it took for days before you could swallow it. To top it all off, they didn't even change the fries. HELLO! juice from undercooked chicken had gotten onto the fries. Obviously the kitchen staff needs to get re-educated as they forgot that salmonella and the effects it has on to ones body. I had brought this to the attention of what appears to be a manager level, but got a reply was more like they could care less. The kitchen guys were definitely taking a pist at the kitchen and if they don't see anything wrong with under cooked chicken an issue or their fault, then we have an issue to the public. Definitely would be coming back here for a looooong while, unless you want to test your immune system as who knows what elder could be done wrong

This location has a little bakery on the outside that sells egg tarts and typical bakery food. On weekend mornings, you'll see a long line at the bakery section because the pastries taste great and are really affordable - hk$7 for a pineapple bun and hk$10 for a pineapple bun with a slab of butter, which is a hk staple. They also sell Mexican custard buns, which I realized are really popular at these chain hk cafes, but I've never tried them. I did try the egg tarts here for just hk$6. They're so good! Flaky just the way I like it, but not as sweet as nyc egg tarts. Mind you, these bakery items are available not only as to go orders but to stay orders. They make great breakfast food or even an afternoon snack. The first time I ate here was for breakfast and I ordered one of those set meals. I got the beef with pasta in tomato soup. The set included a hot drink and two buns with egg and ham. The meal wasn't that memorable but I came back for dinner cause the food pics looked so good. I love hk baked minced beef over rice/spaghetti, and the ones here are unbelievably good. I love how perfect the egg they add on top looks and it's runny! I'm not a big eater but I'm usually able to finish the whole dish because that's just how tasty it is. I've also had their soup noodles here before and the portion is huge. Honestly, you won't regret coming here. There's a wide range of items on the menu to suit everyone's tastes and budget.
