My SIL insisted I try the restaurant. So glad I did. Love the decor with such an Urban feel. Bikes, tires, and road signs. Clean and modern throughout. I was captivated by their desserts. From the syringe injecting into a Bloody Berry cake to these color dusted cakes with various flavors. Wow, can we say croissant galore. How can you turn down a chocolate dipped croissant or one that is something called creme brulee? Okay, onto their real food. The slow roasted chicken came highly recommended as was the fish and chips. I also wanted to try the gwei miu salmon with a watercress risotto. They also needed to add they garnish the salmon dish with baby arugula. Hello! No need to say more. Sold! The chicken was juicy (brinded almost), full of flavor. The fish and chips had an amazing color on the fry, awesome beer battered flavored, and chunks of fish with every bite. It was over like an olive tapinade tartar sauce, which I couldn't get enough of. The risotto was perfectly cooked, which is hard to do. It was loaded with butter and cheese. Aside from its green color, it was hard to tell it was watercress. The salmon was also perfectly cooked and juicy. My only regret was that I ate too much and didn't save room for their desserts. Next time, for sure. Definitely be back and will be taking the Hubs here when he returns.

Both were delicious and filling! They have amazing croissants which you can take to-go. My favorites are the almond croissant, bo luo (pineapple bun topping) croissant, and the molten egg custard croissant.

Prepare your senses (but in a fun way) before coming here. They have everything from great…read morerestaurants, fresh fruit and vegetables, live toads (not for pets) seafood, butcher shops, etc... The butcher will butcher whole hogs right in the open. Chopping a head off or a leg off the hog. Placing the chopped pieces onto hinging hooks for display. The fish guys slices open whole fish to display it's innards. Skinning live toads per order. And then there are customers in the clothes boutique across the walkway sorting through the new arrivals. There are plenty of small restaurant stalls or sit down/waiter service restaurants to choose from. From HK BBQ pork and duck to dim sum. It's all here. Bring cash!!

This is probably one of the better places to get food in the immediate vicinity, and is also a very fun place to walk around. It's very manageable, while having a variety of food vendors, ranging from the ordinary HK fare to the extraordinary (I would describe one of the stalls as selling post-modern kimchi). I got a claypot rice with chicken feet and pork ribs (though there was no clay pot). There was nowhere to sit, so I went not too far outside and found a concrete stoop to sit on. It was good, cheap, and filling.

When I entered, a staff asked me how many and then showed me to a table. There's a QR code to order, or you can request a physical menu. Must have: tea and coffee latte that I could only get in Hong Kong, Tsui Wah's signature fish balls rice noodle soup (i debated), and I ordered a side of scrambled eggs. The beverage came out first, then the eggs, and finally the noodle. If you haven't visited Hong Kong, the table is equipped with a drawers for the utensil and napkins. I totally forgot and when I asked for more napkins a friendly wait staff showed me the drawers. :) My neighboring tables had a different order, and their foods also looked good. While it is a chain restaurant, it serves up some great foods.

A Cha Chaan Teng (茶餐廳) is to Hong Kong what a diner is to the US. Tsui Wah (翠華) is a popular chain…read moreof Cha Chaan Teng in Hong Kong that serves some unique dishes in addition to the many classical Western-Cantonese dishes. Here are some of the items we ate here: Steamed Rice with BBQ Pork and Scrambled Eggs (神之叉燒飯) - 4/5. I love both char siu and Hong Kong-style scrambled eggs, so this dish is a no-brainer for me. Overall, it's good (enough); everything came together. However, there's room for improvement. The char siu has too much fat and needs a bit more searing. The scrambled egg could have been more velvety and less greasy. Hainanese Chicken Rice (大勝三方海南雞) - 3/5. I love that they serve a good soup with more ingredients than just chicken stock. I also like their ginger sauce, which isn't just grated ginger with oil but a puree mixture with additional ingredients. The texture of the chicken is good, but the meat tasted quite tasteless. The rice is okay. Crispy Noodle with Sweet and Sour Prawns on Sizzling Plate (哈哈笑雙面黃)--2/5. Disappointing. The noodle on my dish looked thinner than the one shown on the menu photo. The sauce is too thickened and more like gravy than sauce; it is one-dimensional with a simple taste profile that is just too sweet. Then there was too much sauce over the thin noodles, which ultimately caused the noodles to clump up. Char Siu Bao (叉燒包) - 3/5. Average Char Siu Bao. This is the baked version. I like the outer layer of the dough, which I believe has a nice coating of egg wash that gives the bao a slightly sweeter, crusty texture. However, the overall dough isn't as fluffy as I would like. The Char Siu filling is a bit sweeter. I would like to taste a good half-half of sweetness and savoriness.

Most everyone knows them as their far less interesting and awkward (#1) name, "Tasty Congee and Noodle Wantan Shop." For a good decade and then some, this place was complete chaos: long lines, service mishaps, and inconsistent food. SInce the self order kiosks were introduced years and the recent expansion of the East Hall seating, thus resulting in a much more organized experience. Wonton noodles have always been one of their best options. It's been a morning / lunch staple and a sure thing for first timers. Their congee has been excellent a majority of the time, along with somes solid stir fried options from noodles to shrimp and egg. They also have beef brisket, Where they suffer a bit is with the Chinese BBQ (siu mei), in which it's lacking severely, which doesn't fare well given its the priciest item. If one is desperate for goose and bbq pork, this may work in a pinch. Don't bother with the Hainanese chicken. Trust me. Like all things at the airport, it's a bit overpriced. The kiosks accept all major forms of payment and is far more English friendly than ever. Won ton noodle soup is pretty bog-standard, which to be fair in Hong Kong means it's actually pretty decent. Char siu won't win any awards, with the slices at this location seemingly extra small, but again it's more than acceptable enough for an airport. And the roast goose, while nice enough, was more bones and skin than anything else. Made me wonder just how small the goose was! Still, of all the fast casual Chinese restaurants inside Terminal 1 of Hong Kong International Airport, I find I come here the most. The fast service and the quality are just enough to keep me coming back, especially when time is tight.
