I had to eat here again, and have my boyfriend experience it. There are quite a few Cafe de Corals - some locations are larger than others. This is one of my favorite locations - clean, big, and plenty of seating options. You order at a self-service kiosk (which can be daunting, since there are a lot of choices, but fun at the same time). Since it can be busy at times, I suggest looking at the menu online first. We ordered 2 Sizzling Steak Plate Sets, and 2 drinks (lemonade and red bean icy). The drinks were not great, but they do give you complimentary hot tea, which was nice. The steak plates were good, as well as the Borscht soup. It does come with a hot dog, but it was super bland.

My family opted to try this option. Being more of a fast food-type place, this certainly was different than a typical hotpot experience. They have various set menus that you have to choose from, and there really is no option for customization. Once we figured out what we wanted and ordered, however, we really ended up enjoying it. Each person was brought a little pot with the broth and vegetables inside and a setup for heating it. The food was delicious!

Pizza Maru has pies come in 9-inch and 12-inch, we ordered the 9-inch with cheese stuffed in the dough. You can pay extra for more cheese if you are a cheese lover. The toppings include Korean fried chicken, cherry tomato, broccoli, ham, mushroom, Alfredo, sour cream.. yeah pretty random but it tastes pretty good in my opinion. The dough tastes more like bread, a little chewy like what you get from bagels, very interesting in a good way! We also ordered a fried chicken with bones appetizer, comes in 6 or 12 pieces.. and a side of French fries. Price was reasonable, we spent about $160HKD which is about $20 per person.

I had breakfast and dinner here and they hit the spot. Whether it's breakfast eggs, congee, noodles, all are nothing special but does the in job quickly. For dinner, the pork chop bakes rice, or BBQ meat with rice, all taste good and fine, not spectacular. For the BBQ items, it's not anything specific, just does the job. They are efficient, though sometimes you wonder why the simplest things take a while, like white rice. They have this Wintermelon soup that comes in a mini Wintermelon, amazing for a fast food joint. I'd still come again and again

Okay, so it ain't exactly fancy here but you're not expecting a Michelin starred experience, right?…read more Cafe de Coral is a good fast food spot that does HK-style cafe food decently and cheaply. The restaurants here are clean and that means a lot to me. You don't feel like eating at some drab fast food spot like McDonalds around here. I went for their mid-afternoon special and got roast duck vermicelli in broth with a red bean "catty" drink (which pretty much was red bean ice - cubed ice, not shaved). The vermicelli was okay with the broth being clear but without much personality. However, the duck was pretty decent and reasonably portioned. The red bean drink was refreshing and not too sweet or too creamy - fine balance. All of this amounted to around $4.00, which is what a drink would cost alone around here. Ordering and getting food is efficient and pretty orderly. Yeah, it feels a little cafeteria-ish, but I'm not complaining.
