Luckily the only one I really want to have, Green Tea Fondue with Tofu Ice Cream and Pistachios was available. I am really into matcha and warm dessert so I really enjoyed that! Tofu ice cream was still quite creamy but the warm fondue was definitely the star. I was also really surprise with the quality of their cappuccino. The milk was perfectly frothed and the latte art did not even distort at all even when I almost finished drinking my coffee. Service was really attentive. Since we were here during lunch hour, the kitchen was busy prepping for the lunch crowd. If you want to have full access to the dessert menu, coming here after 3 pm might be more ideal. HeSheEat is a nice cafe to escape the craziness of CWB. Being on the 2nd floor, you have a bird eye view which is great for people watching.

It's below the freeway near the bus terminal and the Macau ferry, so I don't think anyone would go out of their way to eat here unless they happen to be passing by. This was the case for me. It wasn't my first time at Honeymoon but it was my first visit to this branch. Even though I don't think there's anything to write home about, Honeymoon Dessert serves its purpose of satisfying my belly with some local style sweets. I believe my boyfriend got the durian and green tea ice cream with vanilla sauce and I got some grass jelly dessert. The menu was pretty extensive, and there were both hot and cold desserts. As for the interior, it's pretty spacious and clean. I didn't see many customers when I went on a February night.

I mean, I has a serious sweet tooth, and it's the only dessert place around, and I don't crave to come back. My hubby was craving for a good old bowl of sweet mung bean soup. What a disappointment. It was very watery, no sediment (what the Chinese call "sand", which appears when you boil beans for a long time). Ditto for the red bean soup my dad ordered, no fragrance from the orange peel. Now, if you are what my mom says, the "younger folks", and order stuff like durian dessert, mango dessert, etc., you'll fare better, my little cousins love what they got. Which leads the older folks to lament the lost art of making a good bowl of sweet bean soup, which is so cheap but time consuming, and only old folks order anyway...

Many celebrities have also ate here as there are pictures posted. Anyways back to the dessert, I ordered the Mixed Fruit Herbal Jelly as I love herbal jelly and is really refreshing. The mixed fruit had a variety of fruits, and was just so perfect paired with the herbal jelly. There was mango, watermelon, melon, and another fruit. There are also many other desserts available to choose from. It was definitely fulfilling, and it was not too sweet and was just right for me. The jelly was good, but it was cut in noodle shape instead of cubed shape. Either way, it was delicious for me or maybe I was just exhausted from the hiking I did prior to eating here as I hiked all the way to Sham Tseng and it was late at night. Location/Service: the one I came to is located in Sham Tseng and is pretty far from the bustling Kowloon or HK Island. Service was good, and was greeted nicely and had orders taken and came out really fast. The desserts were not really expensive and was not overly sweet or not enough sweet. It was just right so my sweet tooth definitely enjoyed it. Great dessert to end my day from the long hike I had and also after eating roasted goose. Hopefully Lucky Dessert will bring more luck for me!

The menu is simple and they've got most of the must-haves at dessert shops. They have a minimum spend per person if you are dining in, so beware if your group has a person who doesn't do sweet soups. The worst thing (or best thing) that could happen is you eat one for them. The tongsui we ordered were all very basic and while they were delicious, I couldn't tell if they were better or higher quality ingredients compared to other shops across Hong Kong. If I were to be in the area and wanting tongsui, then sure why not. But I am unsure if I would purposely take the train and walk here.

I believe one of the ways to try durian without having to be afraid of it is by tasting it through the various dessert dishes here at this cute little place. Having no idea that this place existed, I was pretty thankful to my new local friend who suggested this place. It's located in a small little street, similar to an alley way, and by the time you get near it, you'll definitely see a long line of people waiting to get in. The wait itself isn't that bad. Most people just come here to eat dessert and leave right after. Once seated, my friends and I spent some time browsing through the extensive dessert menu and settled on trying the durian with crystal seeds (one of the many popular dishes) and watermelon and lychee with crystal seeds. In summary, the watermelon and lychee were ok. The watermelon ended up being too watery for my taste and the lychee wasn't too memorable. Both tasted decent but definitely not a must try. For the durian, this was surprisingly good! I am normally not a durian fan (the stench gets to me sometime) but here, you couldn't really smell too much of the durian in the dish. The taste of durian was also soften quite a bit, making this dish a bit more doable for those who do not like durian. I found this dish to be pretty tasty and not too sweet and it was unique to eat it with the crystal seeds. Overall, this is a great spot to stop by for desserts. If you're not a fan of durian but can tolerate the smell of it wafting through the restaurant, this place is great to try other HK desserts at an affordable price.
