one of THE BEST buffets i have ever been to. the selection isn't super huge, but i kind of like that since it means they do the few things that they have available well. the seafood is so fresh, my favorite was the steamed lobster especially the pieces with a bunch of roe in it. the other seafood dishes are also incredible, such as their sashimi, scallop with vermicelli, and deep fried oyster. my only critique is that i wish they had hot steamed crab + lobster and butter as a dipping sauce (they only had some random cocktail sauces). they have a stir-fried lobster, but a regular hot steamed lobster would've been amazing. service is also incredible, everytime we came back to the table the plates had been cleared. this place is on the pricier end though, with the buffet being ~$150 USD/person and an optional all you can drink wine add-on for an additional $28 USD/person. the wine isn't super worth it imo since it's super low tier wine and the buffet is so expensive you definitely want to eat your moneys worth.

Really stupendous brunch buffet. Fresh squeezed juice bar, charcuterie bar, noodle bar, sausage bar, salad bar, gourmet bakery selections, omelettes, and the most amazing cup of coffee. Really top notch.

***Mid-sized buffet spread;Top Taste and Service*** I'd say JW Cafe is Mid-sized in terms of number of dishes/Variety (if you compare it to a giant such as Cafe TOO @ Shangri-La-La)..... but JW is definitely Top-class in terms of Quality, Taste and Service. The lunch buffet had excellent quality seafood and the overall focus leans towards Chinese dishes.... which is great. Of course one would still find some good chicken wings, pastas, spring rolls and roast meats in that buffet. The sweet and sour pork was excellent and so was the noodles that it came with. The mussels were definitely worth multiple visits. We got the chance to enjoy the buffet as well as the a-la-carte menu since one of our party was fashionably late.... in fact so late that the buffet closed at 14:30, so one of us had to order from the menu. Among the a-la-carte menu, the Jumbo Asparagus (appetizer), and the King Salmon (mains) were very good. For the iced tea, we requested to replace the lemon slices with orange slices ... as I recalled having it somewhere before and I remember liking it. The staff did it with no problem. While I was enjoying the buffet, it was around 14:20.... so just 10 more minutes. And they checked with me a couple of times if I wanted anything else, and they actually prepared the plates and brought to me, given the urgency.... I LOVE THAT

Had a great dinner buffet here. The service was pretty good and setting was nice. Wide selection of food including Peking duck, abalone& sea cucumber, good selection of 3 Chinese soups, cold lobster, hairy crab, noodle station, sashimi, and more. The desserts were great as well, tofu pudding, Creme brûlée, cakes, ice cream, fruit. Was surprised soda isn't included, only (lemon) tea.

This was my first time coming here for a la carte dessert instead of buffet. They have never fail to impress and this time is not an exception. The presentation of the chocolate mousse cake is lovely and the cheese cake too. Service is of cos excellent...going to Marriott is always a safe choice as the food quality and services always worth the money.

An absolute dream of a buffet and situated right in the heart of Hong Kong. It has a wide selection of international cuisines, and even a bagel, pancake and omelette station! Who does that? JW does. Plenty of high quality protein options and healthy alternatives for a health freak such as myself. Additionally, there's a juice bar and fresh fruit station where patrons can construct their own muesli bowls with fresh fruit or even Greek yogurt. All in all, 5-stars.

Soup they made for me with meatball and noodles.

The coffee here is pretty good, especially considering the location. The price is also a really good deal for Hong Kong. Lattes and cappuccinos here are only 25 hkd. That, and unlike Omotesando, this is a proper, legit, HK style shop. It's hard to find. It's weirdly hidden, inside of another business (not telling), on the second floor of a random building (also not telling). The hours are not posted, and I assume are made up depending on how folks feel. Only one of two elevators in the building actually stops on this floor, and you get to figure out which one (still not telling). The door guy, lies to you, and tells you that there is no cafe at all. It's classic, legit, wonderful, slightly crazy, but still delightful Hong Kong. And, when you finally figure out where it is, and manage to make it there, you're rewarded with amazing coffee, and beautiful late art. You're still in Wan Chai, but life is suddenly better. Good luck, be brave, before they relocate.

Hong Kong magazine has written great articles as of late about the small, off the beaten path, cool…read moreneighborhoods around Hong Kong. It was from one of these recent articles that I read about Odd One Out. My husband and I took the Ding Ding from Sheung Wan on a Sunday morning seeking out a cup of coffee to discover an uber cool art gallery that has a tiny cafe attached. It was the perfect way to start our day exploring this great little neighborhood, off the beaten path of Queen's Road in Wan Chai. Odd One Out is an active art gallery featuring lesser known artists producing small batches of lithographs, risprints, etchings, prints, etc. Artists were from Japan, US, Austrailia, China, etc. They also have some handmade greeting cards and small figurines as well. You could walk out with a small lithograph for $300HKD or an etching from the featured artist for $2500HKD. Prices are not out of sync or high for what you would expect to find for a numbered print by a quality artist. During our visit, the work of Kyoko Imazu was installed in their tiny space. The cool thing about this installation is that Kyoko does etchings, which is a craft that goes unappreciated by people outside the art world. It is a painstaking process of etching (scratching with a tool like a needle) a picture on a copper plate. At Odd One Out, Kyoko has a small vintage etching press that is right there in the studio where you can actually see and understand the process of how an artist makes an etching. This small press is unique and super cool. The gallerist (Kylie was her name and she could not have been sweeter or more interested in sharing her knoweldge in an unintimidating way) was saying that Kyoko has hosted some university students showing the the process of etching at Odd One Out. I believe this exhibition is up until November 17, 2015. We had a coffee in the tiny cafe called SFS that is attached. Coffee was a good bean and exactly the neighborhood local variety we were seeking. There is a small house pomerainean named Dim Sum who is there on sight too if you are a dog lover. Everyone we saw in store seemed to know this gentle little dog. He was kind of an added feature accentuating the vibe of Odd One Out. Odd One Out is a great neighborhood gem!

The view and environment here is top notch and is a great place to go to see the view of the city. Cocktails are pricey but also were good. This place is slightly more expensive for breakfast that the JW Marriott (and its in the same building but with a separate entrance) but it's got an amazing view and the food is delicious. The place is super chill, good background music and good vibes from the staff. It also has a chill vibe in the way that it's laid out, there's a feeling of openness. Maybe that feeling has to do with the epic view however. A few seats are in window corners where you get a great panorama view. Other seats are internal but still have a good view from a distance. I would go back, if for no other reason just for the fact that I had something I've never had before anyplace and it was really good. They have an eggs Benedict with short ribs in place of the ham. It's a Hong Kong take on the dish. We also had the pastries and muffins to share for the table. All were amazing.
